The blizzard grew fiercer, and the biting wind brought large flakes of snow that covered everything. The wind shook the little penguins' bodies, as if it wanted to swallow them up.
The wind howled and roared, whipping the snowdrifts apart and lifting them into the air. The cold wind howled incessantly, its direction constantly shifting. In such a dangerous environment, no human dared to venture out.
But right now, there is a group of poor little penguins who are not yet adults and do not even know what hunting is. Despite the terrible weather and their stomachs that have been rumbling for days, they are going to the beach to learn to swim and to learn to hunt.
This is the most important stage of their lives. Even though none of the penguin chicks explained it, everyone was very stubborn about it, and no one gave up.
Of course, during this period, the emperor penguin caretakers who had stayed behind to look after them also came along.
However, relatively speaking, these nannies are too indifferent. Perhaps, in their minds, apart from their own children, they have no intention of saving other children.
They don't care too much. Even if they see the little penguins who can't keep up or whose progress is hindered by the blizzard, they won't feel much emotional.
This temporary kindergarten teacher was somewhat incompetent, but thinking about it, this is the kind of thing they would do. The idea of helping others is completely foreign to them.
Nature is so dangerous, it's already amazing that you survived. Of course, it would be great if you could get help along the way, provided that this doesn't hinder their growth process.
Xu Qiaoqiao had this idea: if she could help them, she should. The emperor penguins' living environment had become very harsh, and as long as it didn't disrupt their growth, it would be good to help them a little.
Furthermore, emperor penguins now face the same crisis as polar bears—global warming.
Polar bears are animals that live almost entirely on sea ice, as are emperor penguins. They almost entirely breed and raise their offspring on sea ice. As global warming intensifies, the rate of sea ice melting accelerates.
If the sea ice breaks up and disappears before the breeding season, it will make their breeding work very difficult and unable to proceed normally. In this case, the number of emperor penguins will decline sharply.
Jun Qi promised Xu Qiaoqiao that he would help the little penguins who had fallen behind, so he wouldn't break his promise.
After saying some words of advice to Xu Qiaoqiao, he slowly walked out of the group, braving the fierce blizzard, and took one step at a time towards the back.
The emperor penguin caretakers wouldn't understand what Xu Qiaoqiao and Jun Qi were doing; all they did was occasionally stop and check on the group behind them.
When they saw the two emperor penguin chicks walking out of the group one after the other and slowly moving to the back of the group, they looked blank for a moment. What were they going to do?
However, this confusion didn't last long before it disappeared. Whatever the two emperor penguin chicks were going to do was none of their business anymore.
The two little penguin chicks were quickly swallowed up by the white blizzard.
"Chirp chirp".
Jun Qi blinked. Among all those chirping sounds, why did he feel like he was hearing the voice of his loved one?
"Chirp chirp." Junjun.
I heard it again.
Jun Qi paused as he moved through the blizzard, slowly turning his head to look back. Although his view was obstructed, he could still make out a rounded figure faintly visible in the white expanse.
Xu Qiaoqiao followed Jun Qi out with difficulty. She had to bend down every few steps to avoid being blown away or knocked over by the wind.
It's really too difficult.
"Chirp chirp." Junjun.
Xu Qiaoqiao looked up and saw Jun Qi standing there. She was a little happy, but at the same time, she felt a little guilty. Just now, Jun Qi told her to follow the group, and then in the blink of an eye, she saw herself following behind him.
"Chirp." Xu Qiaoqiao made a sound that was hard to understand. She quickly walked over to Jun Qi, threw herself into his arms, and rubbed her face against his fur.
"Chirp chirp." Junjun.
Jun Qi lowered his head slightly, and the two looked at each other. He could see the other's bright eyes, dark and deep, and he couldn't take his eyes off them.
"Chirp chirp." Didn't I tell you to follow those adult emperor penguins?
Jun Qi had considered the possibility that Xu Qiaoqiao would follow him a few seconds ago, but he didn't expect it to come true so quickly. Thinking of how Xu Qiaoqiao had stumbled and fallen with every step before, Jun Qi sighed helplessly and gently rubbed his chin against her head. He wasn't angry at all.
Tsk tsk, Qiao Qiao is really naughty.
He put one arm around Xu Qiaoqiao's waist, helping her straighten up, and used his other arm to pat her head lightly twice.
"Chirp chirp." I want to follow you.
Xu Qiaoqiao smiled and said to Jun Qi, "The two of them are always together, and this is something I wanted to do myself. There's no reason for Jun Jun to do it; that wouldn't be right."
With such a heavy blizzard, even though Junjun is very powerful, he is still just a cub, and Xu Qiaoqiao is still afraid that something might happen to him, even if the possibility is very small.
"Chirp chirp." Then you stay with me.
"Chirp!" Okay!
Xu Qiaoqiao smiled and moved closer to Jun Qi, their small bodies pressed together, closely connected.
The line of emperor penguin chicks was long, but due to the blizzard and Jun Qi's usual training, these chicks had also learned the meaning of unity. They walked slowly forward in pairs, or even more, side by side.
