Chapter 569 - Otters and Jaguars

Xu Qiaoqiao was unhappy, but Jun Qi was quite happy.

His eyes were smiling as he lowered his head, nuzzled Xu Qiaoqiao's forehead with his nose, and hummed a few times. When he saw that Xu Qiaoqiao was still somewhat evasive, he wasn't angry, because he knew that the little one was just being intermittently irritable.

Because... he got her hair dirty again.

The mud was all over her fur, forming large, scattered brown patches that looked really messy and disheveled.

"Waaah!" Xu Qiaoqiao cried out anxiously. She turned her body away, refusing to touch Jun Qi or let him kiss or rub against her. She rolled over and slowly got up from the ground.

Then, it snorted at Jun Qi, turned around, flicked its tail on the ground, and walked away on its own.

I'm ignoring Junjun now. That jerk made me roll around in the mud again. That's too much!

Was it intentional?

Xu Qiaoqiao was unhappy, really unhappy, and every step she took was more strenuous than before.

Jun Qi looked at the tail, which was swishing back and forth, looking rather mischievous.

"Chirp chirp." Are you angry?

Jun Qi ran up, but the difference in their walking speeds was too great, and Jun Qi caught up with Xu Qiaoqiao in no time. He walked beside Xu Qiaoqiao, lowering his head and whispering in her ear, his warm breath spraying onto her ear.

His tone sounded a bit cheeky.

Xu Qiaoqiao glanced at him sideways, then quickly looked back at him. She didn't respond to Jun Qi's words, but simply raised her paw and pushed his head away a little.

Today, at least for today, I'm not going to talk to you anymore.

Xu Qiaoqiao is now walking in the direction she came from. At a fork in the road, she makes a turn. She remembers that the mud on the riverbank upstream is not so wet that she would sink in.

She's going to wash off the dirt now. Junjun always does this; after washing herself clean, she pushes herself into a mud puddle or some muddy soil, getting herself covered in another layer of dirt.

That's outrageous!

A few minutes later, Xu Qiaoqiao arrived at a small river. It hadn't been affected much. The current was rapid and the bottom looked very clear. However, Xu Qiaoqiao usually wouldn't dare to go into such clear water.

The clearer the water, the greater the danger.

She tentatively stretched out her feet and took only a step or two into the water before squatting down and starting to wash the dirt off her body. Jun Qi lay on the side, watching Xu Qiaoqiao do these things with curiosity.

The little guy really loves taking baths.

But thinking about it, it makes sense. If he had that much hair on his body, he would wash it every day too.

As Jun Qi thought this, he blinked, as if he had thought of something, and jumped directly next to Xu Qiaoqiao, splashing a large amount of water with a bang.

"Ouch!" Xu Qiaoqiao cried out and subconsciously closed her eyes. A few seconds later, she looked at the big cat next to her, who was happily playing in the water and jumping around a few times. It was all wet and its fur was sticking together.

"Chirp!"

He found the diving motion very fun, and as he made a gurgling sound, he shook the water droplets off his head.

—Little one, let's play in the water together.

Jun Qi smiled at Xu Qiaoqiao. Feeling her gaze, he awkwardly ran over, then squatted down, his bright eyes looking at her. Clearly, Jun Qi hadn't remembered the unpleasantness from earlier at all.

"..." The other party doesn't even remember, so why am I getting angry here for no reason?

Xu Qiaoqiao glanced helplessly at Jun Qi, not knowing what to say. She raised her paw, touched the big guy's nose, and gave him a big smile.

--don't want.

Then, they immediately went ashore.

Before Jun Qi jumped into the water, she washed off all the mud. After climbing back to shore, Xu Qiaoqiao shook herself, splashing water everywhere, and then slowly used her paws to groom her fur.

"Chirp?"

Jun Qi hadn't even gotten ashore yet; he had only taken a few steps towards the shore, his paws still in the water. Seeing Xu Qiaoqiao's slow movements, Jun Qi blinked, then followed her ashore. He walked to her side, not afraid of getting dirty, and immediately lay down, his clear eyes fixed on Xu Qiaoqiao.

Do you need my help?

When Xu Qiaoqiao read this meaning in those eyes, she saw that the big cat was a little excited. It slowly straightened up and stretched its head forward, and it was obvious what it was going to do.

Before any other thoughts could form, a warm, soft object touched Xu Qiaoqiao's ear. It was wet, and she knew what it was without even looking.

Jun Qi licked Xu Qiaoqiao's fur while pressing one of his paws against her back to prevent her from moving.

whispering sound……

You should be glad that you have no memory and are extremely forgetful.

Xu Qiaoqiao straightened up and touched the whiskers around the big cat's mouth. She wasn't very angry anymore. In fact, she wasn't really angry to begin with. She just felt helpless and amused by Jun Qi's actions, and was also a little annoyed.

If it weren't for the huge size difference between them, she would have retaliated long ago by pinning this guy down in the mud and letting him experience the same feeling.

but

Why does this guy forget about the trouble he caused so quickly, but remember things about the territory so vividly?
