Time slowly moves forward, and in the blink of an eye, more than half a month has passed.
Although Xu Qiaoqiao and Jun Qi were reluctant to part, Peter and Ed eventually had to leave.
When Ed learned of Peter's decision, he was both happy and sad, but initially, the happiness outweighed the sadness.
Because he no longer had to cook every day, especially when the second jaguar came along, its appetite was a whole size larger than the combined appetite of the two adults.
This gives you an idea of the intensity of their daily work.
It took a long time just to cook all the food. It wasn't until dinner time that everything was cooked.
Peter and Ed sat on the tree stump, sweating profusely, watching the three little ones eating heartily.
The two who were cooking had no appetite at all. Peter wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked at Xu Qiaoqiao, Jun Qi, and A Jin with eyes full of doting and relief.
"Akin" was the name he gave to his second jaguar; it was also convenient to call it that way.
Moreover, after Peter tried several times, the little guy reacted much more strongly to the name "Akin". When he heard Peter call the name "Akin", he would run over excitedly, his green eyes shining with anticipation.
"Chirp chirp".
It looks very cute, and it wags its tail without being taught, as if it knows that this is a way of trying to please others.
When Xu Qiaoqiao first heard Peter call his neighbor, the jaguar Akin, by his name, she was slightly surprised. He'd already given him a name in just a few days!
"Waaah." Ah Jin.
Xu Qiaoqiao called out, but the other person did not turn around.
Jun Qi turned around, looking at her with a puzzled expression. He rubbed his kiss against her nose and licked Xu Qiaoqiao's ear, their beards touching.
Who are you calling?
Xu Qiaoqiao pointed to her neighbor, the jaguar, blinked, chuckled, and nodded at Jun Qi.
—JunJun, the neighbor's jaguar has a name now, it's called Ajin.
"Chirp?" Jun Qi looked over with curious eyes and saw that it was the neighboring jaguar. He didn't understand what the little guy was chirping for a moment. After looking at it for a few moments, he looked away and looked at Xu Qiaoqiao.
Xu Qiaoqiao blinked, opened her two paws at Jun Qi, and sat there properly, looking very happy.
Jaguars probably have names for each other, or rather, they should have their own names, Xu Qiaoqiao suddenly thought of this. She tilted her head and looked at Jun Qi, wishing that the two of them could understand each other's language.
I don't know what Junjun's name is.
What kind of name will his mother give him?
Is he still called Jun Qi?
Or another name?
Even if Xu Qiaoqiao brought up the topic of age, the other party wouldn't understand her. Moreover, after it happened a few times, Jun Qi even thought she wanted to invite him over to play.
Because of her small stature, Xu Qiaoqiao would always have her head rubbed by Jun Qi, and he would even hold her in his arms.
...
On the night before their departure, Xu Qiaoqiao and Jun Qi went out on patrol together. Tonight, Xu Qiaoqiao was particularly energetic.
"Waaaaah." Junjun, over there, over there, I remember we haven't left yet.
Xu Qiaoqiao grabbed Jun Qi's ear, pointed to the left, and whispered a few words into his ear.
She doesn't usually have a very good sense of direction, but because there was a bright red ribbon tied to the branch of the big tree next to her, it was clearly visible even at night.
Xu Qiaoqiao held up a large leaf with one paw and pinched Jun Qi's ear with the other. The rain tonight was light, just a drizzle, which gave a cool feeling.
"Chirp?" Over there?
Jun Qi nodded in that direction, and after receiving confirmation from Xu Qiaoqiao, he stood there thinking for three seconds. It seemed that this was indeed the case; that area hadn't been inspected yet.
"Chirp chirp." Thank you, little one.
"Waaah." You're welcome.
Xu Qiaoqiao retracted her paw, hummed a few times to express her happiness, and stretched out her other paw to shield Jun Qi from the rain.
The area wasn't large, but it was full of trees, which looked very dense. Jun Qi looked around and checked the new marks he had left behind. After not smelling any other unfamiliar scents, he realized that the area was small.
So I took Xu Qiaoqiao back with me.
It was already past midnight when they got back, but Xu Qiaoqiao, like Jun Qi, was full of energy this time. It had stopped raining in the latter half of the night, but she was still clutching that little leaf.
When Xu Qiaoqiao returned to her little nest, she noticed that the light in the tent was still on. She tilted her head and blinked her curious eyes as she looked over.
Are Peter and Ed still awake?
Previously, when Peter called Ed, he used this name. Although Xu Qiaoqiao wasn't very proficient in this language, she could still understand these simple words clearly.
For example, that bearded man who always looks at me and Junjun like we're children is called Peter.
Another human, who seemed a bit cold and was always carrying a camera, showed the same expression as his companions when he saw himself and Junjun. His name was Ed.
"Waaah." Xu Qiaoqiao called softly to Jun Qi, tossed aside the small leaf, and pounced on the guy's head, his fluffy tail twitching slightly.
