This is the best thing ever.
The sky quickly darkened, and the crescent moon hung in the sky. The bright stars, like countless jewels, were scattered densely across the night sky, weaving together a beautiful picture.
The night was always quiet and deep. When Xu Qiaoqiao woke up, she smelled a terrible odor. She rubbed her eyes, yawned, looked around, and a few seconds later realized that she was in Aikeli's house.
That wizard!
Xu Qiaoqiao turned her head to look at the red fox and found that he still had his eyes closed and was obviously not awake yet. Xu Qiaoqiao stroked his fur and then went to look for Ikeli's figure.
She remembered that O. and Henry had said they would send her back.
how?
Are the two of them still here?
Upon waking up, Xu Qiaoqiao noticed the change in the sky; it was clearly still night.
"Oh, little one, you're awake. Do you want something to eat?" After hearing Xu Qiaoqiao's voice, Aikeli held up the bowl of dark stuff in his hand and asked Xu Qiaoqiao.
Xu Qiaoqiao blinked. She was certain that the terrible smell she had just smelled was from what Ai Keli was holding. What kind of awful food was he eating? No, how did he manage to make the food look so bad?
Although Xu Qiaoqiao was indeed small compared to Ai Keli, the expressions on her face were clearly visible.
Ekri put down his dinner, walked to the window, and pinched the little mole's soft cheek. The fluffy touch made him feel very comfortable, and he squinted his eyes in pleasure. Ekri then touched Jun's head with his other hand.
Although he hadn't woken up yet, his body had already been cleaned with magic, and after sunbathing during the day, his fur was incredibly soft.
"don't want."
Xu Qiaoqiao resolutely refused.
She was afraid that if she ate that dark thing, she would go straight to the next world to wait for Junjun.
"Oh, so determined? Little mole, you've really hurt me." Ikeli clutched his chest, looking somewhat sad, and even pretended to wipe away tears from the corners of his eyes.
She has a bit of a dramatic flair.
Xu Qiaoqiao made a mental assessment, but Ike quickly stopped putting on that fake expression and took out some berries from the small basket next to him, which he had picked from his own yard.
"Then you can eat this."
Just as Aike finished speaking, Xu Qiaoqiao heard a few rumbling sounds from her stomach. Her face flushed, and she felt a little embarrassed.
Just think about those two unreliable little deer; if they saw me sleeping, they definitely wouldn't take me away.
They probably left a long time ago.
During her month living here, Xu Qiaoqiao had roughly figured out some of the animals' habits, and she was certain they were capable of doing such things.
"Thank you, Ikele."
Xu Qiaoqiao smelled the delicious fruit, walked over, picked one up and started eating it. It was sweet, and she licked the juice from her lips.
The room was simply furnished, with a large table on it, covered with various kinds of equipment, including wizarding tools and bottles and jars, all neatly arranged.
In the far corner, there was a bed, which was probably where Ikeli rested at night.
Besides that, there were several bookshelves and a small desk placed by another window, with a vase on the desk containing some small white flowers.
The room was completely visible.
After Xu Qiaoqiao finished looking around, Ai Keli had already started reading a book. Obviously, he had finished eating the bowl of dark stuff.
...
The next day, Xu Qiaoqiao was still fast asleep, nestled on the red fox. When the warm morning light shone through the gaps in the trees onto the little house, the door creaked open, and sunlight streamed in.
The window was opened, and the cheerful chirping of birds drifted in.
The morning air is so fresh.
Xu Qiaoqiao smacked her lips, then turned around, buried her face in the red fox's fluffy fur, rubbed against it a few times, and then went back to sleep.
When the bright morning sunlight shone on the fox's eyes, the red fox's eyelids trembled slightly, as if struggling. But a few seconds later, he quickly opened his eyes, his gaze slightly confused and vulnerable.
Where is this place?
The red fox sniffed the air; it was unfamiliar. He was certain he had never been here before. Moreover, he felt incredibly heavy all over, which made him wrinkle his nose slightly, and a hint of impatience flashed in his eyes.
"You're awake?" At this moment, Ike walked in from outside, carrying a basket, and immediately met those sharp eyes.
The red fox didn't speak, but just watched the human warily.
Of course, Ike saw the wariness in Jun's eyes, but he didn't care. He looked down from Jun's head and stopped on Xu Qiaoqiao. This guy was holding Jun's fur with both paws and buried himself in it, looking like he was sleeping soundly.
"Who are you?"
The red fox called out to Ike.
Ekri smiled brightly. Although the person who asked the question was not human, he answered very seriously: "My name is Ekri. I saved you by the roadside. Do you remember me, sir?"
Looking at the young man's gentle smile and his white hair that shimmered slightly in the sunlight, the red fox blinked. At that moment, his memories began to resurface, and he gleaned some useful information from his memories before he lost consciousness.
