Chapter Sixty-Nine - The White Hedgehog & the Owl

Unable to resist any longer, he boldly ventured into human settlements to find food. If Xu Qiaoqiao were to wake up at this time, she would surely discover that the village Jun Qi had come to was the same village where Bai Fei lived.

When Xu Qiaoqiao woke up, the owl was on its way back.

The morning wind was cold. The thorns on her back were meant to keep her warm, so there was nothing wrong with her back, but it was the front part that was affected.

Because of the owl's movement, its belly is down, and apart from the area it's holding onto with its four claws, it's suspended in the air.

Can you imagine? Except for the limbs, the rest of the body is drooping downwards, forming a full, curved shape.

Xu Qiaoqiao: ...

She exploded instantly!

This is really too much to ask of her.

At that moment, Xu Qiaoqiao's sleepiness vanished instantly. When it came to something that concerned her life, her mind was crystal clear.

Mom, can someone tell her what happened? How did she wake up like this?

With a whoosh.

The cold wind kept blowing into the gaps between herself and Junjun, making Xu Qiaoqiao shiver and feel an overwhelming urge to hibernate.

I wonder what would happen to other hedgehogs in this situation.

But that's how Xu Qiaoqiao is; although her mind is still clear, she feels increasingly powerless.

The sky had begun to brighten, and the sun's rays shone brightly on the earth, dispelling some of the chill.

Finally, just as Xu Qiaoqiao realized she couldn't hold on any longer, Jun Qi stopped; they had already arrived at his little nest.

With a snap.

This is the sound Xu Qiaoqiao made when she fell into the nest and bumped into the weeds.

My arms are so sore, and my legs are so sore too.

Xu Qiaoqiao's condition was only discovered when she fell off Jun Qi.

Huh? The little hedgehog fell down?

Jun Qi stood on the edge, subconsciously squinting. He had forgotten that his eyesight was no longer what it used to be; he could see nothing but a white blob.

But the little hedgehog smelled so good that Jun Qi couldn't help but lean forward to get closer to it.

However, the tilt seems a bit excessive.

Another snap.

Xu Qiaoqiao had just sat up straight when an owl's head bumped into her chest, landing right on her soft belly. Xu Qiaoqiao instinctively hugged it.

This action clearly startled Jun Qi.

The moment he bumped into Xu Qiaoqiao's arms, he felt that the whole world smelled sweet and fragrant.

Just then, drowsiness gradually crept in.

Jun Qi's eyes began to close slowly, and Xu Qiaoqiao noticed this as well, but she thought that Jun Qi was just sleepy and had fallen down.

After a few seconds of silence, Xu Qiaoqiao hugged Jun Qi's flesh and kissed his beak, just like in her past life.

It rubbed its face against his, a very gentle motion, and even licked away the dirt around Jun Qi's eyes.

Animals sometimes clean each other's dirt, or they clean themselves. For example, birds have always been seen rubbing their sharp beaks under their wings.

Of course, it's not necessarily about catching bugs.

The moment Xu Qiaoqiao kissed him, Jun Qi immediately shifted uncomfortably, seemingly uncomfortable with her intimate gesture.

The drowsiness in my head was also driven away a bit.

He still didn't know where the little hedgehog's kindness came from.

But the other party is far too soft.

So small and so soft, it can't even hold its own head.

Jun Qi unconsciously relaxed his body, and his claws gradually loosened their grip on the edge, while the weight of his head tilted towards Xu Qiaoqiao.

Moreover, Xu Qiaoqiao's actions were very suitable for him, especially when she was licking around her eyes.

It was clearly a very important part of his body, but for some reason, he felt very at ease and unconsciously hummed a few times.

Finally, when the sun had fully risen, Jun Qi had already fallen into a deep sleep.

However, Xu Qiaoqiao was no longer sleepy at this moment, probably because she had slept for too long before.

Xu Qiaoqiao smoothed Jun Qi's feathers, and before she even used any force, she pulled out a few feathers. Although it was obvious that they were all fallen out, they were stuck to the other feathers.

However, Xu Qiaoqiao still made her movements gentle.

Preening an owl's feathers is a huge task. For a small hedgehog like us, firstly, there is a big difference in size, and secondly, even though many of the owl's feathers are stuck together, they are still very fluffy.

Although Xu Qiaoqiao has grown a lot since she arrived, she is still very small. The difference between her current size and that of an adult hedgehog is not small.

But so what?

Xu Qiaoqiao carefully stroked Jun Qi's feathers and licked the bloodstains off his body, showing no disgust at all.

These actions were only done by Jun Qi when he was a rabbit in his previous life, when he was in wolf form, and he would clean himself up when Xu Qiaoqiao didn't want to take a bath.

Moreover, the cleaning was on a completely different level than relieving her emotions during her heat cycle, or rather, it was a completely different feeling.

Later, in order to make Jun Qi happy, Xu Qiaoqiao said that Jun Qi would search for the meat of rare and exotic beasts for her, and the blood was the same.

This guy even went to ask Bai Ze for blood for himself, and the result was predictable.

Bai Ze not only beat him up, but also said he was being delusional.

Enraged, Jun Qi wanted to beat Bai Ze up again, but ended up getting a good beating instead.
