Chapter 143 - Rare Spirit Herbs & Ferocious Spotted Tiger

Jun Qi arrived at the black bear's house. He looked at the broken stones scattered all over the ground and let go of the bear's mouth.

With a loud bang.

A loud thud was heard, and the black bear landed face down. The large, dark creature was now lying on the ground.

Jun Qi scratched his head, intending to just leave, but...

He looked around, lifted a large rock, and placed it on the black bear. Seeing that the bear didn't react, he went to find some honey nearby. This bear was so fond of luxury, how could there not be honey around?

Fortunately, Jun Qi found a place, but unfortunately it had already been visited by the black bear. However, he didn't need much anyway.

Jun Qi looked inside, sniffed the aroma, then stretched out his paw and stirred it around. Some sticky stuff stuck to it, and Jun Qi knew it was honey.

Then he turned around and, without lingering, went straight to the black bear and smeared the honey around its mouth.

Then, there were still some bits of food stuck to his claws. Jun Qi went to the stream next to him, washed his claws clean, and licked the water off them. They tasted a little sweet, but not so greasy.

"Roar." Okay.

After doing all that, Jun Qi went straight back.

When he got back, he saw Xu Qiaoqiao waiting for him there. When she saw him, her eyes immediately filled with a smile, and then, as usual, she said that sentence.

Jun Qi felt somewhat conflicted because he realized he had developed a real attachment to this spiritual herb, which was a bit of a problem. After all, no one had ever grown feelings for a plant before.

It must be because this spiritual herb has its own thoughts, Jun Qi thought, otherwise there would be no way to explain his idea.

"roar."

Jun Qi roared at Xu Qiaoqiao, then lay down in front of him. Even after thinking about so many things, he still wanted to stay with the spirit herb, or rather, with Xu Qiaoqiao.

He remembered that the herb had said before that her surname was Xu and her name was Xu Qiaoqiao.

In the following days, Xu Qiaoqiao noticed that Jun Qi had become more diligent in his cultivation, specifically by making full use of his afternoons. This made it difficult for Xu Qiaoqiao to find an opportunity to ask him about the written matter.

In the morning, he simply fell asleep. After waking up, he went to find food, then came back and ate with Xu Qiaoqiao. Of course, he ate while Xu Qiaoqiao watched him eat. After finishing, he walked around for a few steps to digest his food before returning to his cultivation.

Xu Qiaoqiao thought it was because the appearance of the black bear made him feel threatened.

After some time, the weather gradually cooled down. She understood the seasonal changes in the weather here, which was quite normal and completely different from the weather in her original residence.

At least Jun Qi's place is still normal; she can sense what season it is.

It is now early autumn.

On such a slightly cool morning, Jun Qi woke up very early, but by then it was already quite bright. Xu Qiaoqiao was already sitting on the side, looking at the roll of sheepskin with nothing to do, because being alone, no, being a blade of grass, was just too boring.

So she picked up the sheepskin again, stumbling and guessing, without finishing reading it.

"Ahei, why are you up so early?"

As soon as Xu Qiaoqiao looked up, she saw that the tiger had woken up and was full of energy. It went to its cabinet, where it gripped the cabinet with its two paws and supported itself with its two hind legs. Its tail was wagging unconsciously, which made Xu Qiaoqiao's heart itch.

Seriously, I can never resist that furry thing.

Xu Qiaoqiao thought to herself that if it weren't for the long distance and the fact that Jun Qi's fur would stand on end if he touched his tail, she would have already started touching him.

Jun Qi scanned the area and, upon finding what he wanted, his eyes lit up immediately. He reached out his paw, took it, and carried it in his mouth before walking over to Xu Qiaoqiao.

Once again, in front of Xu Qiaoqiao, Jun Qi cut his claws. He took down a stone, a completely black stone. He wiped his blood on the stone and buried it next to Xu Qiaoqiao's roots. He muttered something, as if he were chanting some kind of spell.

When Xu Qiaoqiao saw Jun Qi come up to her, she was about to say something when she saw his series of actions and was completely dumbfounded.

What's going on?

After reading it aloud, Jun Qi moved his nose closer to Xu Qiaoqiao, and after he could no longer smell any of her scent, he smiled with satisfaction.

He had secretly learned all these techniques, including the one he used to find Xu Qiaoqiao last time.

Seeing that Jun Qi had finished everything, Xu Qiaoqiao asked, "Ahei, what are you doing?"

Jun Qi roared a few times, tilted his head at Xu Qiaoqiao, realized that she didn't understand what he was saying, then frowned, looking somewhat conflicted.

He sniffed at Xu Qiaoqiao several times, then pointed at her with his paw, brought his nose closer, and stared at her with wide eyes.

Those beautiful eyes seemed to be saying: That's how it is.

Xu Qiaoqiao blinked, as if to say, "What do you understand?"

What did Junjun mean by those actions just now?

A hint of confusion appeared on Xu Qiaoqiao's face, but she quickly concealed it. Seeing how seriously Jun Qi was looking at her, she wanted to ask more questions, but she held back.

"Oh, I see. Thank you, Ahei."

Xu Qiaoqiao smiled and said to Jun Qi. Jun Qi laughed when he heard what Xu Qiaoqiao said. He rubbed his face against Xu Qiaoqiao's leaves, and the whiskers on his lips kept moving because of his owner's happiness.

In the afternoon, Xu Qiaoqiao finally understood the meaning behind Jun Qi's action, because she sensed a strange aura. Jun Qi then came over and kissed Xu Qiaoqiao before strutting away.

Then she heard a tiger's roar. Xu Qiaoqiao heard it clearly; it wasn't Jun Qi's voice.

No wonder! Xu Qiaoqiao recalled Jun Jun's actions this morning; he must have been concealing his presence. The voice outside must be Jun Qi's clan tiger, and it was almost certainly the clan elder he had mentioned before.

The elder only stayed for a few minutes. During that time, she heard several thuds. After witnessing Jun Qi's fight with the black bear, she now understood that Jun Jun must have been beaten up.

As the elder's aura faded, Xu Qiaoqiao saw Jun Qi enter, crouching low. He had several things in his mouth, including some sheepskin, which were probably for her.

"roar!"

Jun Qi called out to Xu Qiaoqiao, then pulled all the sheepskins to her side, and went to sort through the pile of things the elders had given him.

Xu Qiaoqiao looked at the pile of sheepskins, paused for a moment, and then suddenly broke off a few leaves to cover her eyes. Waaah, she hadn't even finished reading the sheepskin scroll that Junjun had brought her before!

I can't understand any of it.
