Chapter 386 - The Good Girl and the Street Fighter

The journey back was completed slowly. When they reached the bottom of the residential building, Xu Qiaoqiao meowed at Jun Qi a few times, and Jun Qi did the same.

His nose gently brushed against Xu Qiaoqiao's cheek, and the stubble around his mouth was soft.

"Meow." Jun Qi meowed, looking particularly reluctant to part with her. Xu Qiaoqiao blinked. It was evening, and she suddenly became curious about where Jun Jun slept that night.

In her mind, stray cats never had a stable place to live; they either slept in garbage cans, in nooks and crannies, or in street corners.

In winter, when the weather is cold, they also suffer from hunger and cold.

They are so pitiful.

Thinking about this, Xu Qiaoqiao suddenly felt a pang of heartache.

"Meow." She cradled Jun Qi's head, her eyes conveying the tenderness in his heart.

Junjun, where do you sleep tonight?

Jun Qi looked into Xu Qiaoqiao's eyes and tilted his head. He understood the heartache in the kitten's eyes, but after understanding it, he felt quite happy.

The kitten actually felt sorry for him; that felt really wonderful.

"Over there, inside the cardboard boxes." Jun Qi pointed to a pile of cardboard boxes not far away. They were stacked up by kind people in the neighborhood, in the gaps between the walls.

Xu Qiaoqiao didn't feel that way. Jun Qi is about the same age as her now, and he has been living a life of wandering since he was so young. Or rather, he is the epitome of most stray cats.

"Don't worry, I'm doing fine. Look, I'm standing right in front of you, aren't I?"

Seeing the state of mind in Xu Qiaoqiao's eyes, Jun Qi reached out and rubbed Xu Qiaoqiao's head, but because he was inexperienced, the movement was a little clumsy.

Looking at the gentle Junjun, Xu Qiaoqiao sniffed, forcing back the tears that were about to spill from her eyes.

"Meow~"

Jun Qi leaned in and licked the little guy's face; this was his way of saying goodbye.

After Jun Qi had walked a few steps, Xu Qiaoqiao looked at his back, and on a whim, she suddenly ran up and blocked Jun Qi's path.

"Jun Jun, come home with me."

Jun Qi's eyes widened suddenly.

So fast, he wasn't ready.
