red fox?
Xu Qiaoqiao's attention was suddenly drawn to the red fox. It smelled strongly of blood, and there were some dark spots under its eyelids. It looked very weak.
His body was wrapped in many bandages.
Smelling the blood on the other person, Xu Qiaoqiao blinked, kicked her legs a few times, and called out to Ai Keli, asking him to put her down.
Ekri didn't refuse. After watching the little mole jump down from his palm, he walked directly towards the red fox, looking it over from left to right and even trying to touch it with his paw, seemingly very interested in the fox.
A few rays of sunlight slanted in through the window, illuminating his handsome face. His silver-white hair was slightly curled and tied into a small braid. Unlike other wizards who were unkempt, he paid great attention to his appearance.
“I named him Jun,” Aikeli said to Xu Qiaoqiao with a smile.
He encountered the fox by chance a few days ago when he went out. It was raining heavily at the time, and the little fox was lying by the roadside with a long scar on its belly, which looked like it had been injured by sharp claws.
However, it was clear that he was on his last breath.
Erik still remembers the red fox's eyes at that time. They were filled with a bloodthirstiness, brutality, and a kind of determination. The courage to live was very strong. He didn't want to die. He wanted to live.
That's why Ike saved the red fox.
It could be said that the red fox saved itself.
"His name is Jun?" Xu Qiaoqiao noticed Ai Keli's words, turned her head and took a few steps toward him, asking in surprise.
Ekri smiled and nodded. He reached out and stroked the little mole's fluffy head, pinching its soft ears. He was in a good mood: "Yes, I named it. What do you think of the name?"
Xu Qiaoqiao stood there, stunned, without answering. She turned to look at the fox and could smell that the blood was coming from its abdomen; there was definitely some blood on the bandage.
"..." Erik raised an eyebrow, looking at the little mole's appearance, his beautiful eyes narrowed slightly. This little mole seemed to know the red fox, but something was wrong.
O said the little guy was only about a month old, while the fox was in a place very far from this forest, a place that would take several days to reach.
How did this little mole get to know this injured little fox?
Things are starting to get interesting.
Ai Keli didn't ask Xu Qiaoqiao this question; he wanted to find the answer himself.
Jun?
Is it that gentleman?
Xu Qiaoqiao looked at the red fox, her mind filled with thoughts of whether it was Junjun. If it was Junjun, why was it in such a terrible state? She wondered who had done it. Xu Qiaoqiao touched the bandages.
The fox's wounds seemed quite severe.
Ekri watched as the little mole sat quietly beside the fox, making no movement, just looking at Jun. He thought about Jun's wounds and estimated that Jun would wake up tomorrow.
...
As the sun was about to set, the light in the room gradually dimmed.
Two knocks.
There was a knock on the door.
Ekri put down his book, went to open the door, and there was Ou.
Ou remained as gentle as ever, his doe-like eyes brimming with moisture: "Eikri, it's getting dark, we should go. Where's Joe?"
After they finished eating, they took a nap. But when they woke up, it was almost dark. Remembering that they had brought a little creature with them, they quickly went to ask Ikeli for the mole.
Ekri rubbed his temples, still with his gentle and refined demeanor. After listening to Ou's words, he looked towards the window. Seeing Ekri's action, Ou curiously peeked his head into the room.
"It seems Joe is already asleep."
There, the red fox lay there oblivious to its fate, a little mole nestled against him, fast asleep. The setting sun cast its golden rays upon them, creating a scene of serene beauty.
Ou unconsciously slowed his breathing. At that moment, Henry's head popped in from the side. Looking up, he saw the two little ones snuggling together and sleeping.
"Wow!" Henry exclaimed softly, his eyes sparkling.
Ekri took a few steps back, watching the two fawns' movements. Their lower bodies were outside, while their necks and heads were inside, and they seemed particularly pleased.
"Eikri, what's this little fox's name?"
Does he have any relatives or friends?
"They're sleeping so soundly, let's not disturb them."
One question after another was thrown at Erik. He took a few steps inside and saw the two fawns with gratified smiles on their faces, as if they were looking at their own cubs.
O and Henry glanced at Joe and the red fox a few more times, then said to Ikely that they would come to pick Joe up tomorrow afternoon, as now was clearly not a good time.
So I think I'll come back tomorrow.
Anyway, Anna and the others aren't home these days, and it's safe here at Ekri's place.
After they finished speaking, O. and Henry left the little house on their own. Their little home was quite far from here, and they figured the moon would be up by the time they got home.
"Those two are really too impolite!" Ike said with a smile, shaking his head helplessly as he looked at the two black dots that had been reduced to mere black dots.
He loved the forest; the animals there were kind and friendly, and no one bothered him.
