Chapter 180 - The Panda Couple

According to them, they will arrive at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow.

It's 10:30? We should go check the fence earlier, right?

Xu Qiaoqiao was sprawled out like Ge You, crunching away on bamboo. To be honest, Xu Qiaoqiao was very used to eating bamboo, especially since the bamboo here was always washed by the zookeepers.

She showed off her increasingly round belly, patted it a few times, and thought about how she should sneak over to that jurisdiction tomorrow.

The two jurisdictions seem to have always been separated by barbed wire. Because pandas have great strength, the barbed wire is not the ordinary kind; it's as thick as steel bars.

The gap between the two wires could only be as thick as her bear paw.

Xu Qiaoqiao raised her paw and looked at it carefully. The chubby paw felt very comfortable to touch.

When the zookeeper saw Xu Qiaoqiao raise her paw, she instinctively took it in her hand and rubbed it in her palm, while her other hand was also stroking Xu Qiaoqiao's belly. The petting was very smooth.

But it probably won't be that strict, Xu Qiaoqiao thought. If all else fails, she'll dig a tunnel and go out to keep watch early tomorrow.

Although she didn't know if pandas were good at digging burrows, Xu Qiaoqiao was, and rabbits and hedgehogs also knew how to dig burrows, so she had learned a little bit from them.

After thinking it over, Xu Qiaoqiao lay comfortably in the zookeeper's arms, gradually becoming sleepy and soon falling asleep, sleeping straight until the next morning.

Looking at the rising sun outside, Xu Qiaoqiao lowered her head. She slowly climbed down from the mother bear's body, yawned, and stretched. She wanted to go back to sleep, but thinking about what she had to do today, she became much more awake and quietly waited at the door for the zookeeper to come over.

Actually, there is an activity time in the morning, but because this mother and daughter panda are so lazy and always sleep until after 10 o'clock, they can only go out for activities in the afternoon.

This morning, it was Xu Qiaoqiao's curiosity that kept her mind alert.

Early morning sunlight shone on the ground. It was open time at the base. Xu Qiaoqiao came out with the round, chubby animals and watched them playing and frolicking. Xu Qiaoqiao originally wanted to blend in first and not be too conspicuous.

However, the things she had done with the mother bear before had incurred the bear's hatred, so as soon as it sensed Xu Qiaoqiao's presence, it kept its distance from her.

Looking at these chubby little balls of flesh, Xu Qiaoqiao pouted. So what if I took your slide, swing, and played with you a few times? Is it really necessary to hold such a grudge? Xu Qiaoqiao walked past them haughtily.

However, seeing how much fun they were having, Xu Qiaoqiao narrowed her eyes, clicked her tongue a few times in her mind, then changed direction and suddenly ran towards the pandas who were playing happily. Instantly, the panda cubs scattered like birds.

Xu Qiaoqiao is like a wolf charging into a flock of sheep.

"Er Ya, don't bully them!"

A sharp-eyed zookeeper noticed Xu Qiaoqiao's action and quickly called out to calm the panda cubs that she had scattered, while muttering to herself, "She's clearly the youngest cub in the middle, how come she's so powerful? Why are you older brothers and sisters afraid of this little sister?"

Xu Qiaoqiao made a few "ee-ee" sounds and then ran away instantly, just like usual, so the zookeeper wouldn't suspect anything. Xu Qiaoqiao carefully looked around, trying to avoid not only the zookeeper's gaze but also that of the tourists. This was the fastest Xu Qiaoqiao had ever run.

Fortunately, there are no tourists watching in this area near the designated zone.

Xu Qiaoqiao blinked as she looked at the wires, carefully checking for any large gaps that could allow her to pass through, or any brittle sections that would allow her to squeeze through.

Surprisingly, Xu Qiaoqiao was quite lucky. There really was such a gap, right at the edge. However, it wasn't too difficult for someone of her size to get through, although the location was a bit high, about a meter or more.

Xu Qiaoqiao squinted and looked around, searching for something to stand on.

The pandas probably wouldn't have thought of this method, but Xu Qiaoqiao is different. Moreover, Xu Qiaoqiao is confident that she won't be seriously injured if she falls from this height, as her fur is thick enough.

Soon, Xu Qiaoqiao found a rock to step on. She slowly climbed up and squeezed through the hole. She even sucked in her stomach, since she had a big belly in both of her previous worlds when she was an animal.

It took about five minutes. When Xu Qiaoqiao had crawled through most of her body, she was not ready and plunged headfirst into the ground, rolling a few times. She slowly sat up, still feeling a little dizzy. Xu Qiaoqiao casually tore off some bamboo leaves and ate them.

Both areas have a lot of bamboo planted, which is lush and green and looks especially tender.

Xu Qiaoqiao slowly crawled over and saw the same round, chubby panda playing there. Yesterday, when the keepers were talking, they seemed to have mentioned the location of this panda's cage, but it was still so early now, so they were probably letting it get used to the environment.

Suddenly, an unfamiliar presence appeared, and everyone turned to look at Xu Qiaoqiao. It was an unfamiliar panda, and everyone couldn't help but be curious.

A few bolder pandas tried to touch her, but Xu Qiaoqiao was fast enough to avoid them. There weren't many pandas on this side, and the area was much smaller than on the other side. Xu Qiaoqiao stayed in the corner, quietly waiting for 10:30 to arrive.
