Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when Jun and Qiao successfully made it ashore.
They all burst out laughing instantly.
The two poor little guys have finally made it ashore. Everyone felt sorry for them when they were wandering in the sea in such a sorry state, but there was nothing they could do. Seeing them safely reach land made everyone much happier.
But that's not all. After all, the time ahead is not very friendly to polar bears, as they mostly hunt for food on the ice, while this land is much less favorable.
There is very little food available for polar bears. For those polar bears that have endured a long migration, the ordeal is not over when they arrive here. What they will face next is a long period of hunger.
This is a cruel reality, but it is unavoidable, and there's nothing we can do about it.
The smiles on everyone's faces faded at the thought of this. They were still studying Jun's behavior and analyzing his routes, and recently they added Qiao's as well.
However, Qiao's appearances were too brief, and he was always by Jun's side, so only his usual actions could be analyzed.
But that was enough. Their analysis over this period revealed that Joe's intelligence was far superior to that of an ordinary Arctic fox, perhaps even the same as that of a normal human teenager, which was truly astonishing.
She was so smart, both clever and adorable, that after her interactions with Jun were posted online, she instantly won over a large number of people, especially when she smiled at Jun.
It's so therapeutic; just looking at it makes me feel much better for the day.
However, Jun's situation is clearly different from other polar bears; he's also accompanied by a little fox.
So, if he were to go looking for food, he would have to find two portions. Fortunately, the little fox could eat some berries or other plants to stave off hunger, so even if he went hungry, he would only have the king to feed him.
It has to be said that Jun and Qiao are the cutest bunch of little cuties they've ever observed.
...
When Xu Qiaoqiao woke up the next day, she subconsciously looked at the cave entrance. The bright sunlight outside shone through the weeds and slanted into the cave, forming small round spots on the ground.
Xu Qiaoqiao lifted her head from Jun Qi's arms. She turned to look at him again and found that Jun Jun was still asleep, so she twisted her body a few times and struggled out of Jun Qi's arms.
I'm hungry.
But Junjun hasn't woken up yet...
Why don't you go out and look for it yourself?
When Junjun wakes up and finds that I've already found food for him, won't he be so touched that he cries?
Thinking this, Xu Qiaoqiao looked back at Jun Qi, then ran to his head, kissed his eyes, and smiled.
Junjun, wait for me, I'm going to find you some food!
She hadn't forgotten her skill in hunting lemmings. After Xu Qiaoqiao went out, she carefully climbed over the small hill, estimating how many lemmings she would catch. She was fine herself, but Junjun had a rather large appetite.
As she approached a small forest, the first thing Xu Qiaoqiao saw was the tempting berries on the ground. She blinked and couldn't resist going over to eat a few.
It's very sweet.
However, this is not a staple food. If Junjun is still not awake after finding the lemmings, then we'll come back and pick some more.
As for whether Jun Qi would eat this furry animal, Xu Qiaoqiao hadn't even considered it. It was good enough that there was food to eat; Jun Qi certainly wouldn't be picky about food.
Thinking this, Xu Qiaoqiao walked forward. She had a good memory; she had seen them hunting when she came out with her uncle before. Generally speaking, lemmings are animals that are neither social nor non-social, so they shouldn't move their burrows.
It was midday, and the sun was high in the sky. Xu Qiaoqiao felt a rare heat, a feeling of summer, and she shivered uncomfortably.
Following the route she remembered, Xu Qiaoqiao arrived at a sandy area that looked somewhat desolate, completely different from the previous forest.
Xu Qiaoqiao lowered her head to sniff the air and listened carefully to the sounds in the soil. Soon she noticed that something was different.
It's the taste of food!
Xu Qiaoqiao's eyes immediately lit up. She sniffed the ground carefully several times, and after finding the right spot, she took a deep breath. To be honest, she felt quite embarrassed thinking about what she was going to do next.
But she later discovered that this was the most convenient and quickest action for Arctic foxes, and for the sake of food, a little silliness didn't matter.
Xu Qiaoqiao's mindset has long since changed.
Thinking of the steps her uncle had taught her, Xu Qiaoqiao blinked, took a few steps back, and then suddenly jumped, slamming her head down into the ground.
At the same time, using the strength of its limbs, while biting the lemming with its mouth, it grips the lemming's body tightly with its claws.
A few seconds later, Xu Qiaoqiao dragged the lemming off the ground. Seeing its corpse, she smiled happily.
See, hunting isn't difficult at all.
She thought proudly, but one isn't enough; she needs many.
Xu Qiaoqiao licked the blood from her lips, then carried the plump lemming back home. She had no choice; her strength was limited at the moment. If she were more skilled, she could catch several at once, just like Panda's father.
Jun Qi slept for a long time. When he woke up, night was approaching and some colorful clouds appeared on the horizon. They were red and, together with the azure sea, looked quite beautiful, like a painting.
The first thing Jun Qi did upon waking up was to look for the little fox. He then touched the area around him but couldn't find any sound from the little fox's ears. However, he did smell some blood.
He looked down toward the source and saw several dead lemmings lying there, their necks clearly bitten off.
Jun Qi blinked. What was going on?
He has no memory of when these things got here.
He was a little nervous, and reached out to touch the drone, but again, he found nothing.
Jun Qi: Where are the toys?!
Drone: Heh, you only think of me now?
Jun Qi immediately turned to look around. The sky outside was starting to darken, so the light was also dimming. However, Jun Qi bent over and searched for a long time, but couldn't find the drone.
He was somewhat dazed. Oh no, the toy the little fox had given him was gone.
When Xu Qiaoqiao returned, she saw Jun Qi looking dazed. What was wrong?
Is it because you're worried about not being able to see me?
She let go, put down the berry she was holding, rushed to Jun Qi, jumped into his arms, stretched out her head, and kissed his chin.
Honey, what's wrong?
