That evening, as the little fox returned bathed in moonlight, Ike's gaze followed it.
"Little fox, you didn't do any work today." He pointed to a few dry branches, propped his chin up, and squinted, looking somewhat unhappy.
After Jun Qi walked in, he remembered to close the door. After hearing what Aikeli said, he lightly jumped onto the table, tilted his head and said, "Didn't you say that these things are not needed until next month? There's no rush."
So what's the big deal if I skip work? You watched me leave anyway.
"Did you go look for that little mole?" Ike reached out and stroked the little fox's fur. It was very soft, after all, it had just been washed last night and was very fluffy.
The smile on her face became a little strange when she heard Jun Qi say "no rush," as if she was waiting to see a good show.
Jun Qi was no longer bothered by the human's occasional rubbing of his fur. He nodded to the other person; yes, he was going to see the little mole.
Erik looked at the crystal ball, the one he usually used for prophecy. Inside the crystal ball, tiny starlight twinkled, constantly surging and outlining a beautiful picture, continuously extending and flowing.
Recalling what he had just seen, Ike became even more curious about the little fox and the little mole; he had never seen such a certain answer before.
"Are you really not considering staying? It's just helping me process medicinal herbs, and your little mole really likes the berries I grow," Ekri coaxed.
On the one hand, I thought it would be nice to have a little guy to keep me company, and I'd also have a free helper. On the other hand, I was genuinely interested in the story of a fox and a mole and wanted to learn more about it.
Jun Qi hummed, looking clearly disappointed. He had accomplished nothing during the day, not even managing to build a decent home.
...
Later, Jun Qi and Xu Qiaoqiao would still play together from time to time. To be precise, they were looking for a new home for the future. Jun Qi still wanted to move out of Ai Keli's place.
These past few days, as he pushed that stone mill, he finally understood why Erik had that inexplicable smile when he heard him say those words.
These tangled branches are really hard to deal with. It took him a whole day to grind the tangled branches, which were the size of a baby's finger, into powder.
At that moment, Ike looked over there, working hard to push the millstone. His forelimbs pushed the handle of the millstone, while his hind limbs supported his body weight and stood on the side, his expression very serious.
cute.
Ekri squinted slightly, thinking to himself, "If only there were a little mole spinning a wheel next to me, then the golden sunlight would shine down, illuminating the room and making it feel so full of life."
Because of this matter, Jun Qi has been very busy these past few days. After all, he promised the other party to grind these damned things into powder, and if he couldn't do it, he would be breaking his promise.
For several days in a row, Xu Qiaoqiao hadn't seen Jun Qi, and she was a little puzzled. Had Jun Qi encountered some difficulties? He hadn't come over for the past few days, so Xu Qiaoqiao decided to go find him herself.
In addition, since Papa Mole and Mama Mole haven't returned for the past few days, I have some free time for now. Once they come back, I won't be allowed to go out alone unless they accompany me.
But Ike's cabin is too far away. Should we go find Ou?
But she doesn't know where Ou lives yet.
When Xu Qiaoqiao thought of this, a sudden inspiration flashed in her mind. She remembered what Jun Qi had said before. He had asked a carrier pigeon to find out where she lived. So, by the same logic, could she ask him the same question?
The animals must be quite enthusiastic.
As Xu Qiaoqiao pondered, she opened the window and looked at the sky outside, hoping to find a carrier pigeon. But instead of a carrier pigeon, she saw a little swallow flying over. Her name was Laura, and she had moved here a year ago.
However, Laura was a lazy little swallow. She was not diligent at all. When Laura flew back to her nest with some twigs in her beak, she noticed a little head bobbing around by the window near the tree roots.
"Little one, what are you looking for?" The little swallow flew back to its nest, shook its wings, and said to the little mole below who was looking around.
Xu Qiaoqiao immediately raised her head and looked towards the source of the voice. It was Little Swallow Laura: "I'm looking for a carrier pigeon." She honestly stated her purpose.
"What do you need the carrier pigeon for?" Laura's voice was a little muffled. She was gracefully grooming her feathers. She had only been flying for a short time, and her feathers were already a bit messy. She needed to groom them properly.
Xu Qiaoqiao narrowed her eyes, watching Laura's movements: "Do you know O. and Henry? I don't know where they live. I heard that carrier pigeons are all-knowing, so I want to go and ask them."
After listening to the little mole's words, Laura stopped grooming herself. She flapped her wings, looked at Xu Qiaoqiao with her round eyes, and flew directly down from her little nest, landing right next to the window.
"I know this, why didn't you ask me?"
"I can tell you!"
A few words kept flashing in Laura's eyes: Ask me, I know.
Xu Qiaoqiao blinked and smiled happily: "Really? Can you tell me?"
Hearing Xu Qiaoqiao's words, Laura proudly raised her head, clearly satisfied with Xu Qiaoqiao's reaction. She walked around and said as she walked, "This is really troublesome. Well then, I'll tell you, little mole. You'd better listen carefully. I'll only say it once."
