Chapter 194 - The Panda Couple

Everyone was initially cheering when they saw the new panda suppress Er Ya, thinking that this would stop the panda from being so arrogant.

The next second, Er Ya, the panda, pounced on him.

Oh dear, it seems this panda cub isn't up to the task either.

The panda cubs nearby all lowered their heads and stopped looking over there. It seems they'll still be suppressed by Er Ya.

Xu Qiaoqiao pounced on him, nuzzling her head against his chest and making happy "ee-ee" sounds. Her paws couldn't help but reach for his soft ears. Jun Qi held Xu Qiaoqiao, letting her do as she pleased.

This is a great benefit!

When the tourists saw Er Ya like this, they cheered excitedly, just like groundhogs in the ground. They were all Er Ya fans. Although they came here to see pandas, Er Ya was the main attraction.

I looked all day and didn't find Er Ya, which was a bit disappointing. But just before I was about to leave, I saw this perk, how could I not be excited?

The excitement from Jun Qi's pounce on Xu Qiaoqiao had subsided, but then Xu Qiaoqiao did this again, causing everyone's faces to flush. It's likely that the story of Er Ya forcibly taking a man from the common people will spread.

After spending some more time getting close to Jun Qi, Xu Qiaoqiao remembered what the zookeepers had mentioned about the meeting.

Adding to what happened this afternoon, Xu Qiaoqiao was incredibly curious about the content of their meeting. Although she knew it was definitely about herself and Junjun, she was still curious.

"Uuuuuuuuu~"

Xu Qiaoqiao let out a howl at Jun Qi, and then started walking towards the zookeeper's office, where they held their meetings. The office had a large tea room that could accommodate zookeepers from both districts.

After Xu Qiaoqiao left, Jun Qi followed. He was a little bigger than Xu Qiaoqiao. The two pandas, one big and one small, sneaked towards the zookeeper's office. Because of Xu Qiaoqiao's imposing presence, no other panda cubs dared to follow them.

The sun was just setting on the horizon, casting a warm yellow glow that painted the sky a bright orange. The weather was nice today; although the temperature was dropping, the sun was still shining brightly.

"Ugh."

As she walked into the office, Xu Qiaoqiao suddenly stopped and called out to Jun Qi, telling him to be careful and not to make any noise so that the zookeepers wouldn't hear. After all, eavesdropping is something you can't let the other party know.

After hearing Xu Qiaoqiao's words, Jun Qi didn't quite understand, but nodding was the right thing to do at this moment.

This gesture was taught to me by Xu Qiaoqiao. Nodding means agreeing and shaking your head means disagreeing. Good or bad, these are all things that Xu Qiaoqiao taught me within this month.

Xu Qiaoqiao tiptoed inside. The door wasn't closed, so she easily entered, while also reminding Jun Qi of something.

The two pandas slowly walked in. The tea room was right next to them. Xu Qiaoqiao leaned against the wall and pressed her ear against it. The wall wasn't very soundproof, and the keepers inside were quite loud, so Xu Qiaoqiao could easily hear what they were saying.

Seeing Xu Qiaoqiao doing this, Jun Qi followed suit, pressing his ear against the wall and wiggling his toes. He heard the humans inside chattering away, but he couldn't understand a word, so he simply stopped listening.

But the movements remain the same.

He moved forward, pressing himself against Xu Qiaoqiao, rubbing against the fur on the back of her neck. A hint of fatigue showed in his eyes, indicating that he was tired from playing with Xu Qiaoqiao all day. He blinked, yawned, and then fell asleep leaning against Xu Qiaoqiao.

Xu Qiaoqiao patted Jun Qi's arm and listened attentively to what was being said inside.

"You mean, let Qiaoqiao come to your jurisdiction?"

Brother Zhou frowned, as if he always had this somber and sentimental image. He clasped his hands together, pondering the possibility of this decision.

Xiao Jing nodded and said, "Yes, Brother Zhou, I think you've already seen how Er Ya and Qiao Qiao get along. In that case, Qiao Qiao won't have to be sent back."

Xiao Jia chimed in, "Yes, I also think this suggestion is good. Or maybe we should remove that barbed wire fence. After all... Qiao Qiao is close to Er Ya, and Er Ya is pretty much the same. With so many panda cubs, they won't bully Qiao Qiao."

Upon hearing this, everyone's expressions became quite strange, especially after seeing the photo of Junqi and Qiaoqiao that appeared to be kissing and the video shared by the two bears. They couldn't help but laugh, but dared not laugh out loud.

Brother Zhou said, "If Qiaoqiao goes to your place, what will happen to Xiaojia? Among the zookeepers there, only Xiaojia can get close to him, although he sometimes beats her up. What if your zookeepers manage to control Qiaoqiao?"

The rest of the sentence was left unsaid, but everyone understood what was going on. Could it be that they were going to bring Xiaojia over as well?

They already have few pandas, so they also have few keepers. If one leaves, it means that everyone will have to shoulder more work.

Should we send Junjun over here?

Xu Qiaoqiao frowned. Why was that?

Could it be that because my affair with Junjun was discovered, they want to make it easier for Junjun and me to meet in the future?

This reason seems a bit far-fetched.

Let's keep listening.

Xiao Jing spoke up: "How about letting Er Ya and Qiao Qiao meet every day through that barbed wire fence? Everyone thinks that's not a good idea, so let's just let them stay together."

"And this is also beneficial for reproduction."

As for the real reason, they had already discussed it. Panda reproduction is a very serious issue. If Er Ya and Qiao Qiao were to develop a relationship from a young age, then when they grew up, there would be no need to develop a relationship between pandas.

After all, pandas are selective when it comes to choosing a mate; they only want to mate with the opposite sex they like, and they won't even look at the opposite sex they don't like.

In layman's terms, it means that both parties must be in love.

After all, pandas only have one estrus cycle a year, and only one opportunity to mate. Missing it would be a great pity.

Xu Qiaoqiao didn't understand these principles, but the keepers who dealt with pandas every day must know them. Xu Qiaoqiao was a little confused. What did this have to do with reproduction? She couldn't help but look at the panda cub that was sleeping soundly against her.

It would occasionally rub against the fur on the back of her neck, as if it were dreaming of something delicious, and it would also nip at her shoulder, not with much force, just looking at it gave off a silly and innocent vibe.

Mmm, so cute.

A faint blush crept onto Xu Qiaoqiao's face. She couldn't resist gently patting his head with her paw before continuing to listen to the person inside.
