After school.
Yun Ranran was packing up her things at her seat when she heard several classmates in the front row talking about Jiang Yan who had just been hit by a ball and was sent to the infirmary.
She paused, and a look of worry appeared on her face.
Tian Miaomiao watched Yun Ranran's actions from the side, and turned her head to the other side without being annoyed.
The few students who were discussing the matter only said a few words, and then didn't mention it anymore. They turned around and left the classroom chatting about other gossip.
Yun Ranran slowly packed up her things and left following a few classmates. Seeing this, Tian Miaomiao slowly followed.
She couldn't stay too far away from Yun Ranran, because if the distance was too far, she would be pulled over by an invisible force.
After trying a few times, Tian Miaomiao didn't want to go through the trouble anymore, so she took the initiative to follow behind Yun Ranran and consciously acted as a behind-the-scenes ghost.
She watched Yun Ranran coldly as she walked home. Her face had a conflicted expression all the way, as if she was constantly struggling mentally, and she walked extremely slowly.
It was a journey of more than ten minutes, but it ended up taking me almost half an hour to get back.
The only consolation was that although Yun Ranran was very conflicted, she ultimately did not go to the school infirmary to see the injured Jiang Yan.
Tian Miaomiao thought that this was progress to some extent.
When they got home, Yun Chen was doing his homework. Yun Ranran was in a bad mood and went straight into her bedroom, lying on the bed without saying much.
Seeing this, Tian Miaomiao, having nothing to do, drifted to Yun Chen's room and watched him clumsily write with a pen in his little hands.
She has temporarily let go of the task and plans not to think about it or look at Yun Ranran's daily entanglements. Let things develop naturally and save herself some energy.
If you don't pay attention to the tasks, time will pass quickly day by day.
Tian Miaomiao found fun ways to distract herself every day. Yun Ranran, despite her emotional struggles, slowly regained her focus on studying. In another midterm exam, she achieved a pretty good grade.
I do the papers one by one every day, and the college entrance examination is approaching.
That day, Yun Ranran was a little late when she got home because she spent some more time sorting out her wrong questions after school. When she passed a slightly dim alley outside the school, she happened to run into two gangs fighting.
“Hit me!!”
A cold male voice came from the alley.
Yun Ranran didn't want to meddle in other people's business, but when she heard the voice, she felt it was somewhat familiar. She walked over secretly and looked into the alley to see what was happening.
In a dark alley.
She saw Jiang Yan and a few other boys beating up another group of people.
The boy who was being beaten kept begging for mercy. Jiang Yan stood by and watched without saying a word, but his face had a frighteningly cold expression.
Yun Ranran was frightened by this situation and took a step back, making a noise. The next second, Jiang Yan looked towards where she was.
Tian Miaomiao was stunned when she saw this scene while floating in the air. Then she calculated the time and suddenly realized that this was the second time Yun Ranran and Jiang Yan met.
However, she remembered that in the original owner's memory, Jiang Yan should have been beaten. Why did it seem to be the other way around now?
Yun Ranran hid at the entrance of the alley, leaning against the wall, her heart beating fast. Thinking of Jiang Yan whom she had just seen, an indescribable sense of tension came over her.
She felt that perhaps she shouldn't have walked in out of curiosity.
The sounds of punching and kicking continued in the alley.
Yun Ranran turned her back and breathed nervously, so she didn't notice that someone was walking quietly towards her.
Tian Miaomiao noticed it while floating in the air, but had no way to remind him.
She could only watch as a figure appeared in Yun Ranran's sight. When she realized something was wrong and looked up, she bumped into a familiar face.
"Jiang Yan..."
Yun Ranran screamed in surprise, but came to her senses halfway through her words. She raised her hand to cover her mouth in fear, took a step back and leaned against the corner.
The alley is dimly lit.
Even so, Yun Ranran could clearly see the sharp glare in Jiang Yan's eyes. He stood a step away, his hands in his pockets, staring at her silently with a cold expression on his face.
Yun Ranran didn't know why, but she felt an unspoken sense of oppression from Jiang Yan in front of her. She covered her mouth with her hands, and her heart was beating uncontrollably.
"What are you looking at?"
Jiang Yan was wearing a pure black T-shirt. He bent down slightly to close the distance between the two of them and spoke softly, while faint cries of pain and pleas for mercy could be heard from the side.
"I didn't see anything... I just... just..."
Yun Ranran lowered her head and huddled in the corner, speaking nervously and stammering. She fell to the ground, holding the schoolbag behind her, and continued to retreat to the corner.
Jiang Yan chuckled softly in his throat and straightened up, looking at her and said in a cold voice:
"How dare you come and join in the fun, you're so timid?"
"I……"
Yun Ranran lowered her eyes slightly and stammered, not knowing how to explain why she had just come here.
She hadn't thought of coming here at first, but when she heard Jiang Yan's voice at that moment, she walked into the alley to see what was going on.
"I'll leave right away."
Yun Ranran didn't dare look at Jiang Yan. She pursed her lips and whispered, then staggered to her feet with the help of the wall, took a step to the side and wanted to leave.
"Wait." Jiang Yan put one hand on the wall to block Yun Ranran's way.
Seeing the arm blocking her way, Yun Ranran finally raised her eyes and turned to look at Jiang Yan, and asked nervously, "What else... is there?"
"Next time you encounter something like this, stay away and don't get involved."
Jiang Yan curled his thin lips slightly with a hint of smile, looked at her and said something meaningful.
