Chapter 233 I am a love-brained person 9

Yun Chen stared blankly at the tightly closed door. His mouth drooped in frustration for a moment, and the stars in his eyes dimmed.

"Mom, my sister is ignoring Chenchen."

He put down the toy blocks in his hand, stood up, and ran to Yunmu with his short legs. He hugged his mother's legs with his chubby little arms and asked for comfort.

Mica is in the kitchen, cleaning.

She felt her legs being hugged, and her expression was stunned at first. Then she looked down and saw her son with a depressed look. After hearing what he said, she felt both amused and helpless.

With two children at home, she and Yun's father are under a lot of pressure as parents. They are often busy making money and don't stay at home much.

Yun Ranran is older and knows how to care for her parents. Whenever she has time, she will take the initiative to help take care of her younger brother. Yun Chen was raised under her care most of the time when he was a child, and therefore he is very attached to his sister.

I always want to share things with my sister.

Although Yun Ranran didn't hate her younger brother, she was not very interested in what he shared, especially after she entered high school.

High school students are under great academic pressure, and Yun Ranran has a lot of homework to do when she gets home.

Whenever Yunchen wanted to say something to his sister, he often got no response, so Yunmu became the object of his son's complaints.

She squatted down with experience, raised her hand and gently touched her son's slightly curled hair, and said with a smile: "Chenchen, I'm going to take an exam soon, so I might be in a bad mood. Let's all be more considerate of me, okay?"

"Chenchen knows."

Yunchen opened his big black eyes and nodded obediently.

Seeing this, Yunmu curled her lips and smiled: "Chenchen is the best. Mommy cut up your and your sister's favorite apples. Let's go to the living room to eat, okay?"

"Okay, but... give one to my sister as well." Yun Chen whispered to his fingers.

"Sister has some too, Chenchen, you eat first, and mom will bring some to sister later."

Yunmu smiled and picked up the fruit plate, took her son's soft little hand and walked into the living room, and placed a small portion of apples on the coffee table for her son to eat.

Then, she turned and went to Yun Ranran's bedroom, raised her hand and knocked on the door gently.

Boom boom boom——

Yun Ranran was sitting at the desk writing a paper. When she heard the sound, she stopped what she was doing and looked up, then she heard Yunmu's voice coming through the door.

"Ranran, open the door."

When she heard Yunmu's words, she pulled out a chair, stood up and opened the door.

At the door, Yunmu was holding a fruit plate with some apples and oranges cut into appropriate sizes on it. When Yun Ranran opened the door and saw it, she pursed her lips and looked a little silent.

"Mom, what's wrong?"

After a pause, Yun Ranran turned sideways to make way for Yunmu, and asked softly.

Yunmu looked at the situation in the bedroom and saw a pile of papers on the desk and no suitable place to put anything else, so she walked in a few steps and put the fruit plate on the bedside table.

Then, she turned around, smiled at her daughter and said:

"Ranran, Mommy cut some of your favorite fruits. Don't just focus on studying. Eat some to supplement your nutrition and take a rest."

Yun Ranran didn't seem very excited when she heard this. She just nodded and said calmly, "I understand, Mom. Put it there and I'll eat it later."

Then he turned sideways to make room for Yunmu so that she could leave.

But Mica didn't leave.

She sat down on the bed, smiled, and looked up at her daughter standing at the door. She patted the seat next to her and said, "Ranran, come sit down and chat with mommy."

Yun Ranran looked at the fine lines at the corners of her mother's eyes and the faint tiredness on her face. She pursed her lips and slowly sat down, but did not say anything.

In this conversation between mother and daughter, Yunmu was the first to speak.

"Ranran, your test scores dropped a while ago. Mom said you were a little harsh and your attitude wasn't very good. Do you still blame Mom?"

Yun Ranran placed her hands on the bed sheet, and unconsciously tightened them a little when she heard this.

Without looking up, she glanced at Yunmu out of the corner of her eye, then quietly denied, "No, I really didn't do well on the test. I was... wrong at the time."

When she said this, Jiang Yan's face flashed through Yun Ranran's mind for a moment, and a trace of sourness and pain surged in her heart, and her voice became a little dry.

Yunmu didn't know what her daughter was thinking. She only saw her lower her head and said this, then she smiled again and continued:

"Ranran, Mom has talked to your dad. We don't expect you to get great grades. Just keep a calm mind and don't put too much pressure on yourself."

Yun Ranran raised her drooping eyes and met the concerned smile in Yunmu's eyes.

The corners of her pursed lips relaxed, and after a slight movement, she spoke as if explaining, "I understand. I didn't put any pressure on myself. Mom, please go out. I have to do the test."

"Okay, go ahead and do your work, but don't forget to eat the cut fruit."

"I understand. I won't forget it."

After hearing this, Yunmu knew that her daughter was annoyed by her nagging. She shook her head helplessly, smiled, and left Yun Ranran's bedroom.

After she left, Yun Ranran stood up and closed the door. She held the door handle and hesitated for a moment, but did not close it tightly. She just closed it half-closed.

In front of the desk, Yun Ranran pulled over a chair and sat down, then raised her hand, picked up the pen and continued to work on the test paper.

But she got stuck on a difficult question after just a while. She worked it out on the draft paper several times but still had no idea, so she put down her pen in frustration.

"Why not have some fruit?"

Just then, she heard a voice in her head.

Upon hearing this, Yun Ranran glanced at the cut fruit on the bedside table, then retracted her gaze and lowered her eyes, muttering, "I haven't finished my paper yet. There's no rush to eat later."

After she finished speaking, she sighed and picked up her pen to start calculating again.

"The direction of the second step of this problem is wrong. Please apply the formula and try again." Tian Miaomiao's voice sounded again.

Through Yun Ranran's vision, she looked at the calculation steps on the draft paper and pointed out the errors.

When Yun Ranran heard this, the hand holding the pen paused, and then the tip of the pen slid across the draft paper, making a slight "rustling" sound.

I tried it according to the method Tian Miaomiao said, and the calculation went much more smoothly. It took only a few minutes to figure out the complete steps.

Yun Ranran did not get stuck on the remaining questions on the test paper and finished the whole paper quickly and smoothly.

She stopped writing and relaxed for a moment, looking at the fruit plate and muttering, "Do you... want to eat some fruit?"

Yun Ranran was the only one in the bedroom. It sounded like these words were spoken to Tian Miaomiao, but he was not asking for her opinion.

"Well, eat some fruit and take a rest."

Tian Miaomiao curled her lips silently when she heard this and spoke with understanding.

After hearing this, Yun Ranran stood up and took the fruit plate. After bringing it over, she started to eat it in small bites with a toothpick at the desk. The sweet apple relieved the dryness.

“The apples are sweet.”

Tian Miaomiao gave her evaluation with a smile.

Yun Ranran hummed softly, and quickly finished the plate of fruit, leaving only an empty plate behind, and continued to write on the test paper.
