"Mom, are you okay?"
Seeing this, Yun Ranran frowned and hurried over to support Yunmu's body and asked.
Yunmu waved her hands when she heard this. Yun Ranran helped her sit on a stool and after a while, she said, "It's okay. I might have caught a cold these past two days. I cough from time to time."
Yun Ranran frowned, wanting to speak but stopping herself. Looking at the smiling Yunmu, she finally said, "Then Mom, you should take some medicine and take care of yourself."
"Yeah, I see."
Yunmu said with a light smile in her tone.
“Welcome!!”
Just then, the automatic doorbell at the hotel entrance rang, and several tall and thin boys strode in. They were all wearing jerseys and their faces and bodies were covered in sweat, as if they had just finished exercising.
"Is there any food left?"
One of the boys just sat down and shouted towards the kitchen.
Father Yun heard the voice from the kitchen and poked his head out, saying, "Yes, yes, just order whatever you want."
Seeing this, Yunmu wanted to get up and go over to entertain these young boys, but as soon as she moved, her daughter next to her grabbed her hand.
"Mom, I'll go, you take a rest."
Yun Ranran stopped her mother's movements and walked to the cashier after saying this. She said to the boys who had come in, "What do you want to eat? Come over here and tell me and I'll place your order."
"Tell me what you're eating."
The boy who just spoke shouted to the others, then stood up and walked to the cashier. When he looked up and saw Yun Ranran standing behind the counter, he was stunned for a moment.
"Yun Ranran?!" he asked uncertainly.
Yun Ranran looked up at the man. At first, she didn't remember who he was. After looking carefully for a moment, she remembered that this was a boy who often followed Jiang Yan.
It seems his name is...Haozi!!
"It's you."
After Yun Ranran remembered who the boy was, she habitually looked up at the people sitting at the dining table, trying to find a figure.
"Don't look, Brother Yan is not here."
Haozi noticed her gaze, leaned on the counter with his arm, moved closer and said something jokingly.
It has been a while since I last met Jiang Yan.
Yun Ranran found that when she met someone related to him, she still couldn't change her bad habit of looking for Jiang Yan. She withdrew her gaze and didn't respond to Haozi's words.
She just lowered her eyes to look at the ordering interface, pursed her lips and said lightly: "Tell me what you want to eat, I will write it down."
Seeing her cold look, Haozi felt a little bored and had no interest in continuing to chat about other things on an empty stomach. He turned around and asked others what they wanted to eat, bought the food, paid for it and sat back down.
There weren't many other people in the restaurant, so the food came out quickly.
It didn't take long before the sounds of several boys wolfing down their food could be heard in the somewhat empty restaurant.
Yun's father and mother had been busy receiving customers and had not had time to eat since noon. Now that they had some free time, Yun's father cooked two dishes and brought them out, and they had lunch with Yun's mother at a table in the restaurant.
Yun Ranran ate something at home before going out, so she didn't sit down to eat with her parents. She just sat at the cashier counter, looking at the scenery outside the window boredly.
After a while.
There were two knocks on the cash register.
Yun Ranran looked up and saw Haozi, with his blond hair, standing nonchalantly beside the counter. He smiled at her and said, "Do you have any refrigerated drinks? Bring me a few."
"They're all in the refrigerator. I'll get you any drinks you want."
Yun Ranran stood up and took Haozi to the refrigerator, pointing at the drinks inside.
Haozi didn't say anything. He just walked over, opened the refrigerator door, took out a few bottles, and placed them on the table beside him. Then he said, "That's all. Let's pay."
Yun Ranran counted the money and took it. Then she saw a few bottles of drinks being taken over. Several boys gulped them down in just a few minutes.
After finishing the meal and finishing the drinks, a few people got up and walked out, chatting and laughing.
When Haozi passed by the cash register, he raised his hand and knocked a few times.
"what?"
Yun Ranran looked up expressionlessly and spoke to him.
Haozi lowered his head mysteriously and said in a low voice, "I'll tell you a piece of news for free. There's a basketball game at school next Monday. There's a surprise for you when you get there!"
Looking at his winking expression, Yun Ranran knew without hesitation that the surprise he was talking about was Jiang Yan.
She was in a complicated mood after hearing the news. She lowered her eyes and remained silent.
Haozi mentioned it casually, then caught up with the boys who came with him and walked away. Not long after, he disappeared from Yun Ranran's sight.
Yunmu watched the two of them chatting for a while and asked, "Ranran, do you know that boy just now?"
Hearing this, Yun Ranran came back to her senses and suppressed the chaotic thoughts in her heart. She nodded casually and said, "I know him. He's a classmate of mine from the same school."
When Yunmu heard this, she smiled and said, "We're classmates at the same school as you, but why didn't you give us a discount?"
"No, we're not very familiar with each other, just collect it normally."
Yun Ranran was playing with a pen on the counter and said to Yunmu without raising her head.
Yunmu shook her head and stopped talking after hearing this.
The weekends always go by quickly.
Yun Ranran went to school on Monday. There was only less than a week left before the college entrance examination. Tian Miaomiao put a lot of effort into helping her find and fill in the gaps. She spent every day in a sea of questions and finally did not go to watch the basketball game that Haozi mentioned.
Tian Miaomiao was very pleased about this, and she felt a strange sense of accomplishment that her daughter had grown up.
Next came the first turning point in Yun Ranran’s life, the college entrance examination.
