Miao Yan opened the car window and looked out, only to see that the team outside was in chaos.
There were flames everywhere in the near part of the team, and several horses were neighing in fear. The driver of the carriage was trying to control it, and farther away, some bandits with big knives were fighting with the guards in the team.
Miao Yan felt that things were not going well. The bandits were fighting fearlessly with weapons and were evenly matched with the guards. Moreover, judging from the large number of people, the guards probably wouldn't be able to hold out for long if they rushed forward.
She looked at the lady and Coral in the car and said anxiously:
"Miss, the team encountered robbers and the guards started fighting with them."
The young lady had a look of fear on her face, but she remained calm.
"Miao Yan, tell the driver to go back to Grandmother's side."
"Okay, miss." Miao Yan nodded, lifted the curtain and told the coachman to turn the carriage around.
The team was arranged with the young lady's carriage in front and Old Lady Wang in the back. There were only a few guards and sedan chairs in the front of the team, and more guards were arranged next to Old Lady Wang's carriage in the back.
The team was marching in a mighty manner, with the front and rear separated by a large distance. The people at the rear probably didn't know what had happened. It would be safest to turn around and ask the team behind to provide support.
…
"Hurry~"
The carriage driver was very experienced. He changed direction in a moment and headed towards Old Lady Wang.
“Ah~”
After taking a few steps, a scream was heard outside the carriage and the horse pulling the carriage neighed.
"Miss, be careful."
Miao Yan's heart was tense. When she realized that something had happened to the driver, she quickly spoke out to remind him.
But it was too late. The carriage was running wildly, and the inside of the carriage was like a washing machine that was drying out. The three people fell and rolled into a pile.
"The carriage was frightened!" Coral shouted in horror.
Miao Yan tried hard to find her balance, but when she turned her head, she saw that the young lady's body seemed to be motionless.
"Miss, Miss, wake up!"
Miaoyan shouted as he stabilized his body and adjusted the lady's position.
“Swoosh~”
At this moment, the sound of two arrows breaking through the air came to my ears.
"Miao Yan, be careful."
As soon as Shanhu stabilized herself, she saw arrows shooting towards Miaoyan and the others, and couldn't help but scream.
At the critical moment, Miao Yan hugged the young lady and rolled to the side to avoid the arrows.
"Bang~Bang~" The arrow hit the carriage and made it tremble.
"no."
Miao Yan thought to herself, "If we don't get out now, this horse will drag them all down with it."
She took a deep breath and waited for a moment, thinking that the horse was running farther and farther away and there was no one chasing it.
Miao Yan put the young lady's body down, transferred his breath to his hands and legs, and got out of the car in one go.
There was an arrow stuck in the horse's back and it was bleeding profusely. There was a pool of blood on the driver's seat.
Miao Yan tentatively stepped onto the bike frame. The wind whistled in her ears, and her body was tossed about. She quickly grabbed the frame with one hand to steady herself. Then, she glanced around and found the floating reins.
Cold sweat broke out on her back and Miaoyan's heart was beating fast. She pulled the car door with one hand and slowly moved her whole body out of the car, then reached for the reins with the other hand.
Whether you will succeed or not depends on this!
Inside the carriage, Coral was paying attention to the young lady while looking outside.
"Ouch~"
After an unknown amount of time, a roar was heard outside the carriage and it slowly stopped.
Without the bumpy feeling of hanging by a thread, Coral sat down in the car and cried for a while.
"Coral, are you okay?"
Miao Yan came into the carriage from outside and asked in a slightly weak voice.
She had just tried several times to pull the carriage and had almost used up all her strength. Now she got into the carriage and leaned casually to the side, feeling the Bone Tempering Technique slowly running through her body.
Shanhu raised her head and saw Miaoyan's pale face. Her crying slowly stopped and she asked worriedly, "Miaoyan, are you hurt?"
Miao Yan shook her head slightly, but even raising her hand was a bit difficult.
"Yes, miss."
Seeing that Miaoyan was not injured, Shanhu remembered the lady who had fainted in the car just now, and hurried to see her, and found that she was still unconscious.
It was already late outside. When Miaoyu felt that she had regained some strength, she helped the young lady out of the carriage.
The horse is injured and will stop now, but it is not safe to stay in the car anymore.
The carriage happened to stop in a sparse forest. Since the two men were not familiar with the area, they picked up some dry firewood first.
The light of the fire dispelled a lot of anxiety. Fortunately, there was food in the carriage so they didn't have to go hungry.
"099, pay attention to your surroundings. Call me if anything happens."
Miaoyan had a big appetite. After she finished her meal, she saw Shanhu sitting by the fire and had fallen asleep.
She asked 099 to help her keep watch, and then practiced the bone-strengthening technique to recover her strength as soon as possible.
A sleepless night.
…
The next day, the sky was just getting light.
The fire had gone out last night. Miaoyan opened her eyes early and saw Shanhu still asleep in her clothes, lying on the haystack. She got up and picked up some firewood to light the fire.
"Hmm~ where is this?"
Perhaps it was the warmth that woke the young lady who had been sleeping all day.
Miao Yan said in surprise: "Miss, you are finally awake."
The young lady looked over when she heard the voice and saw Miao Yan in a dishevel, and the memories of yesterday suddenly flooded into her mind.
"Miaoyan, where are we now?" After the lady recalled the incident, she was happy that she had escaped danger, and then she became confused.
Miaoyan organized her words and recounted the story of the carriage losing control.
The young lady became worried and decided that the three weak women had to leave here as soon as possible, so she expressed her thoughts.
Miaoyan nodded, she thought so too.
She asked the young lady to eat some dry food first, and then went to call Coral who was standing beside her.
