It was bright outside, and sunlight streamed into the room through the open windows.
Gu Ziyuan slept very well that night. When he woke up and saw Chang Miaoer huddled in the corner, he felt a little better in an instant.
He was dressed in white pajamas, strolled to the window and said, "Shadow!"
The next moment, a man in black suddenly appeared at the window.
He bowed his head and clasped his fists, saying, "Master, I am here."
"How is the situation with the Third Prince?"
"Nothing's wrong for now. The several waves of assassins who were ambushing us have been dealt with, and the survivors have been taken back to the Dark Guard Battalion for interrogation."
"Well, you continue to have people keep an eye on him and protect the Third Prince."
"Yes!" Shadow said with a fist.
Gu Ziyuan watched the shadowy figure disappear in front of the window and admired the scenery on the water for a moment.
Seeing that it was getting late, he turned around and went into the room and kicked the corner.
“Wake up!”
Chang Miaoer suddenly opened her eyes and saw the small room in front of her and the faint smell of fish in the air. She realized where she was in an instant.
She looked up and met Gu Ziyuan's half-smile not far away.
"If you're awake, get up," he said.
Chang Miaoer didn't know what this man was going to do next, so she slowly stood up.
Without internal strength, not sleeping for a night is simply a challenge to the limits of the human body.
In the second half of the night, she couldn't hold on any longer and fell asleep without realizing it. When Gu Ziyuan called her, her head was still a little dizzy due to lack of sleep, so her face was a little dazed.
Chang Miaoer didn't react for a moment to what Gu Ziyuan said.
"What?" she asked.
Gu Ziyuan raised his eyebrows and repeated patiently, "Come here and help me get dressed."
A trace of silence flashed across Chang Miaoer's eyes.
Is this old man incapable of taking care of himself? He still needs help dressing himself?!
She walked over and saw Gu Ziyuan holding up his arms like a big boss. She felt an urge to tie him up, but the next moment, the empty internal energy in her body made her calm down.
Wait a little longer until you find a way to restore your internal strength.
Chang Miaoer followed his request expressionlessly, slowly and fumbling to put his clothes on him one by one.
Only when tying the belt at the end does she need to put her hands around her waist to tie it.
Chang Miaoer didn't stand firmly, and the two of them were very close to each other for a while. She put her hands around Gu Ziyuan's waist through his clothes, and the temperature from under his clothes burned her for a moment.
Gu Ziyuan's eyes were drooping and his thin lips were tightly pursed. For a moment, he felt a little regretful for letting Chang Miaoer help him get dressed. Who was torturing whom by touching him like that?
Chang Miao'er had no idea what he was thinking. She withdrew her hand with a straight face and tied the belt as if nothing had happened.
Whenever something happens, as long as she is not embarrassed, others will be embarrassed.
Gu Ziyuan felt a little embarrassed and ashamed. He waved his hand and asked Chang Miaoer to stand aside and did not ask her to come over to tie her hair.
…
The next few days.
Gu Ziyuan didn't let Chang Miaoer continue to help him dress, but instead used different methods to make her exhausted.
Fortunately, Chang Miaoer finally understood the situation on the ship in the past few days.
Gu Ziyuan and she are now on a cargo ship heading to Beijing. He is traveling alone with his men and no one knows what his plan is. He may have kidnapped her just to vent his anger.
Chang Miaoer thought about the occasional scenes of Gu Ziyuan negotiating with the man in black, and guessed that he was not as simple as he seemed.
She was glad that she did not act rashly at the time, otherwise the probability of successfully escaping would be very small.
Chang Miaoer is waiting, waiting for an opportunity.
That night.
Chang Miaoer stood in front of the desk grinding ink with an expressionless face, and the light from the oil lamp flickered and swayed.
She couldn't help but yawn.
Gu Ziyuan was painting a landscape painting with great interest under the oil lamp.
Chang Miaoer took a look and found it quite nice.
But are you sure it's okay for you to draw in the dark in the middle of the night?
Gu Ziyuan glanced at Chang Miaoer out of the corner of his eye, and seeing that she looked sleepy, he paused.
"Miao'er, it's time to add water." he said.
What a big boss!
Chang Miaoer opened the door expressionlessly and went to get hot water.
At this moment, a fire lit up not far from the door.
This was on a boat in the middle of the river. Suddenly, there was light in the darkness. Chang Miaoer knew something was wrong at a glance. She stopped moving to go out and turned back into the house.
Gu Ziyuan heard her footsteps and looked up and asked, "What's wrong?"
"Something's wrong outside." Chang Miao'er knew this was not the time to delay, so she told him everything that had happened on the river. "As soon as I went out, I saw a fire not far away on the river."
"Someone come here." Gu Ziyuan stood up and said.
"I'm here." A figure in black suddenly appeared.
Chang Miaoer's eyes flashed slightly when she saw this.
Gu Ziyuan glanced at Chang Miaoer and asked, "What's the situation outside?"
"It looks like they've encountered pirates. A fight has already broken out outside," the secret guard replied.
Gu Ziyuan's face grew a bit more serious when he heard that. This time he and the Third Prince were acting separately, one in the dark and one in the open. He didn't have many secret guards with him, and if they accidentally ran into bandits here, there was a real possibility that they would capsize in this ditch.
After thinking for a moment, Gu Ziyuan said decisively: "Find a small boat to retreat."
This merchant ship has been targeted, and they are in great danger if they stay here. As the situation is unclear, it is better to retreat as soon as possible.
Chang Miaoer was also brought along.
In the darkness of night, the front of the merchant ship was covered in blood, and the screams and the howling laughter of the pirates blended into one.
Gu Ziyuan's men found a small boat, and several people retreated quietly and got on the boat smoothly.
