Chapter 238 I'm a Love Brain 14

In the bedroom.

Yun Ranran tossed and turned in bed several times but still couldn't fall asleep. In the end, she could only stare blankly at the dark night outside the window.

Tian Miaomiao sensed that she was in a bad mood, so she asked with a smile, "Ranran, what are you thinking about when you're not sleeping?"

Yun Ranran raised her hand and placed it on the pillow to support her head. She blinked and sighed, "I don't know what I'm thinking about. I'm just so upset that I can't sleep."

After saying this, Yun Ranran thought about what happened before, paused, and suddenly spoke up: "You didn't tell me back then in the car, was Jian Zifan's kidnapping related to Jian Yanwan?"

When Tian Miaomiao heard the topic change so quickly, she didn't react for a moment. After recalling for a while, she remembered that Yun Ranran mentioned the guess she made to her in the car.

Yun Ranran didn't know enough information and her guess was wrong, so she didn't answer at that time.

When asked again now, Tian Miaomiao was at a loss for words and didn't know how to explain to Yun Ranran. Jian Yanwan was actually concerned about the changes in the plot, not the kidnapping case.

She hesitated for a moment and said, "Maybe there is, maybe not. The police should be able to find out the result of the investigation. After all, the bad guys can't get away, so let's just leave it alone."

Yun Ranran remained silent after hearing this. She looked at the dark night outside the window for a while before speaking:

"You have a point. Jian Yanwan is just a young girl. If she was related to the kidnapping case, the police would have taken her away long ago."

What the two people said was somewhat inconsistent, but strangely enough they matched.

After Yun Ranran figured it out, she stopped dwelling on Jian Yanwan and the kidnapping case and turned to talk about other things: "You said before that Jian Yanwan also had a strange encounter. Is it the same as our situation?"

"About that." Tian Miaomiao said vaguely.

She didn't mean to fool Yun Ranran by saying this. It was just that both questions were difficult for her to explain, so she could only go along with Yun Ranran's own words.

"Then when we talk, can Jian Yanwan hear us?" Yun Ranran was a little worried when she heard that.

Tian Miaomiao smiled and explained, "No one can hear us. I used other methods to block our communication, so no one else can hear what we say."

When Tian Miaomiao heard the conversation between Jian Yanwan and the system bound to her, she took this concern into consideration and cast a secret mental shield.

This shield is said to be invulnerable to all kinds of attacks. Whether it is really that effective or not is another matter, but it can definitely block the two people's voices from being heard outside.

Yun Ranran felt relieved after hearing this mysterious explanation. Ever since she learned how she escaped from the kidnapping case, she had an indescribable trust in this voice inside her body.

Since she said so, Yun Ranran believed that she could do it.

The two chatted for a long time, and the night outside was getting darker.

At this time, Yun Ranran finally began to feel sleepy. As she was half asleep, she remembered something and asked faster than her mind could tell: "Can you tell me, what's your name?"

These words were obviously spoken to another person inside her.

Tian Miaomiao smiled and said softly, "Just call me Miaomiao. It's late, go to bed."

Hearing this, Yun Ranran murmured "Miao Miao" repeatedly, and then couldn't resist the sleepiness and gradually fell into a sweet dream.

The next two days are the weekend, and Yun Ranran has Tian Miaomiao, her personal tutor, and her test-taking speed has greatly improved.

After finishing, she had some rare free time. Thinking that Yunmu didn't look well these past two days, she went out to the restaurant run by her parents to help out.

Yun's father and mother run a very common fast food restaurant.

It was almost noon and many customers came to the nearby restaurant to eat. The small restaurant seemed a bit crowded under these circumstances.

Yun Ranran came out wearing a pair of overalls and short sleeves that were convenient for movement. Her long hair was tied into a long braid that hung down on her shoulders. Her refreshing and neat outfit and fair and delicate facial features made her particularly conspicuous in the crowd.

As soon as she walked into the restaurant, she heard Yunmu calling her.

"Ranran, why are you here?"

Yunmu was standing at the door of the kitchen, wearing a dark brown apron. Her hair on her forehead was hanging in wisps due to sweat. When she saw her daughter coming in, she put down the order receipt in her hand and asked in a voice of surprise and joy.

Yun Ranran walked over and stood at the dining table, explaining, "Mom, I came to the store to help out. I'll pack your order for you, you go ahead and do your work."

As she spoke, she picked up the order, looked at it, and started helping to pack the takeout order.

Yun Ranran used to come to the store to help out often on weekends. She was very familiar with the situation in the restaurant and didn't need Yunmu to tell her what to do. She could just help with the work directly.

Seeing that her daughter was packing the food very well and that there were indeed many customers in the store, Yunmu did not refuse her daughter's kindness. She smiled and turned around to serve the customer who had just come in to order food.

The Yun Family Restaurant was busy until around 2:00 PM, when the number of customers gradually decreased.

After Yun Ranran packed up the stack of orders, she watched the delivery man take away the last order. She felt a little tired, so she sat on a stool to rest.

Turning around, I saw Yunmu holding a rag and cleaning the plates from the last table.

She thought for a moment and stood up to get two cups of water. After Yunmu finished cleaning up, she handed one of the cups to her and said with concern, "Mom, after you finish cleaning up, sit down and rest for a while and drink some water."

Yunmu took the boiled water of perfect temperature and took a sip, then said with a smile on her face, "My daughter has really grown up... cough cough... cough cough!!"

Before he could finish his words, Yunmu couldn't help coughing a few times, and his thin body was shaking violently.
