Chapter 17 The Cannon Fodder Concubine 17

"Brother!" Li Er was startled when he saw the emperor suddenly sit up.

The other burly men nearby were also astonished by this sudden turn of events.

"What's there to be afraid of! Live meat is fresher," the eldest brother said to the crowd.

"What my elder brother said makes sense."

"Li Er, hurry up and continue, we're all hungry and waiting to eat." The other burly men had also calmed down by this time and were laughing and joking.

"You deserve to die! Stop it!" The emperor was horrified at the sight before him.

The way they died before was already painful enough, and now they're being eaten!

“Your son has already given you to us, so stop struggling and obediently go into our belly.”

"How could you eat people?! Release me at once!"

"Stop talking nonsense, Li Er, get to work."

After hearing his elder brother's words, Li Er stepped forward again.

"Brothers, hold him down, little brother, get the meat for the older brothers."

"Alright." Several burly men ignored the emperor's struggles and went straight up to hold down the emperor's limbs.

Then, Li Er gripped the knife again and cut off a piece of thigh meat.

"Ah!" the emperor screamed loudly.

"Shut up, you're so noisy!" A burly man next to him said, and then found a piece of rag and stuffed it into the emperor's mouth.

Then, Li Er cut off several more pieces, and the emperor's thigh was now completely unrecognizable.

Then, several strong men released the emperor's limbs.

They gathered around the campfire and began grilling meat and playing around.

The emperor, standing to the side, reached out and ripped the rag out of his mouth, then rolled on the ground in frustration.

It kept wailing.

"ah!"

"Kill me now!"

"It hurts!"

"Let me die!"

...

Meanwhile, the burly men had already started skewering and grilling meat, and before long, the air was filled with the aroma of meat.

Then, the emperor watched as the flesh taken from his body was fed into the mouths of those burly men.

Fear, hatred, and resentment were intertwined.

"This meat is quite chewy, guys, let's all try some."

"Here it comes! You can have a few more bites today."

...

As the barbecue was consumed, it was quickly eaten up completely.

The burly men, still hungry, turned their attention to the emperor.

Then came another round of dismemberment and mutilation, and the emperor died in agony.

The emperor died.

Burn him!

Burn him!

"Burn him alive!"

...

Once the emperor regained consciousness, he heard shouts that filled his ears, filled with malice.

Then I felt my limbs being bound.

When the emperor opened his eyes, what he saw was a group of villagers shouting themselves hoarse.

"Let me go!"

"Damn it, let me go!" Even though the emperor was furious, it had no effect.

This only angered the onlookers.

It turned out that the area had not received rain for two years, causing the land to dry up and resulting in no harvest. Even daily drinking water became a problem, and people had to fetch water from the mountains.

One day, a Taoist priest came to this place and, after some calculations, traced the origins back to the man who had possessed the emperor.

Because the man was ugly and had blasphemed the Rain Goddess, the Rain Goddess punished him.

To break this curse, the man's impure soul must be cleansed by the fire of the sun before the sweet rain will fall upon the world.

That's how the scene of the emperor regaining consciousness came about.

"The time has come, light the fire!"

After he finished speaking, a man carrying a bonfire walked up the platform and approached the emperor.

As the emperor watched the man approach, his face was filled with fear. Although he had died many times, the pain of death was still deeply etched in his mind.

"Let me go!"

"Get away!"

"Don't come any closer!"

However, despite the emperor's reluctance, the man still approached the emperor step by step.

Then, he raised a torch, slowly approached the emperor, and set the emperor's outer garment on fire.

The fire quickly spread.

"ah!"

"No!" The emperor felt the burning pain spreading throughout his body as his clothes caught fire.

The meat was also burning, and soon it felt as if the whole person was surrounded by flames.

Roars, howls, and angry shouts echoed from the flames.

The onlookers just cheered excitedly.

The emperor endured this for about fifteen minutes before dying in agony.

He felt deeply aggrieved by the injustice of fate before he died.

The emperor died.

After regaining consciousness, the emperor could still feel the immense pain of being consumed by flames in his soul. It took him a while to fully recover.

After seeing the scene before him, he wished he would never wake up.

He was now standing on the execution platform, preparing to be tortured!

Beside him were a dozen or so other people who had been tied up like him and were about to be tortured.

Looking down, one sees a crowd of people gathered below the execution platform.

The room fell silent as the judge stated the charges and offenses.

Everyone opened their eyes wide and turned their gaze to the execution platform.

The officers walked up to the prisoners one by one, each carrying instruments of torture. They were all burly and had angry glares.

The emperor was terrified when he saw the scene before him.

Having just gone through a gruesome and excruciating experience of death, even though beheading is only a single blow and not as painful, the thought of having my head chopped off still fills me with dread.

However, no matter how terrified the emperor was or how much he wanted to stop it, it was all in vain.

He was wearing shackles, and someone was controlling his body from behind.

The dozen or so people standing nearby, like the emperor, all looked terrified, but they were helpless and could only wait for their fate to unfold.

His mouth was blocked, and all his anger and hatred were stuck in his throat.

Despite the terror on everyone's faces, the executioner approached and stood still step by step.

Why?! Why?!

Why did he have to go through all this?!

They have to suffer these deaths again and again!

The emperor roared inwardly, his face revealing his indignation and resentment at the injustice of fate!

Despite this, the executioner's knife did not retreat at all; instead, it became even sharper.

Time seemed to stand still at that moment, and the executioner raised his knife high, aiming at the emperor's head.

The onlookers couldn't help but hold their breath.

It's high noon.

"Execute immediately!"

"Execute!" As the executioner tossed out the token, the executioners gripped their broadswords tightly and swung them forcefully.

The emperor's head, like the other heads, was tossed high into the air, splattering blood everywhere, before finally rolling to the ground.

His face showed extreme fear and panic.

The emperor died.

...

And so the emperor, in the cycle of reincarnation, repeatedly experienced life and death...
