Chapter 17 The Eldest Princess, Equal Creation of the Dead Scum 17

"I don't know how I'm going to face your uncle when we get back," Zhong Xiangyu's father said with a worried expression.

"Father, I'm sorry to my cousin."

"This incident probably happened because I offended someone without my knowledge," Zhong Xiangyu said with a serious expression.

He has always treated his cousin like a younger sister. He never objected to any of her marriages before, because he felt it didn't matter who she married. At least he had grown up with her since childhood and knew her well.

However, he later met the person he loved and became somewhat resistant to the marriage. But now that that incident has happened, it's no longer something he can decide.

He wronged his cousin by making her go from being the principal wife to a concubine.

"It's good that you know."

“After we get back, come with me to your uncle’s house to apologize,” Zhong Xiangyu’s father said solemnly.

"Yes, Dad, I will."

"Okay, that's good to know."

Not long after, he returned to his residence.

Upon returning to the mansion, Zhong Xiangyu was greeted by his own mother.

"Such a big thing happened, why didn't anyone send me a message!"

"My poor son, how did he get hurt like this?"

"Quickly, go and call the doctor!" Zhong Xiangyu's mother said, her face pale.

"Yes, Madam." A maidservant stepped out from behind Zhong Xiangyu's mother; her attire revealed her to be a servant.

"Madam, it's just that I didn't want to bother you," Zhong Xiangyu's father quickly explained.

"I didn't want you to worry when you went out to burn incense."

"What do you mean by disturbing me? With something this big happening, you should have sent someone to inform me right away," Zhong Xiangyu's mother said irritably.

Meanwhile, Zhong Xiangyu, standing to the side, looked aggrieved and complained of pain after his mother appeared.

This made Zhong Xiangyu's mother very distressed.

"I understand, it was my fault, I didn't think it through," Zhong Xiangyu's father quickly replied, seeing his wife's expression about to change.

"Good to know."

"Come on, son, let's go inside quickly." Then Zhong Xiangyu's mother led him into the room.

The doctor arrived shortly after I lay down on the bed.

After the doctor finished examining Zhong Xiangyu and he finished taking his medicine, Zhong Xiangyu's mother stayed with him until he fell asleep before leaving.

After stepping out of the room, Zhong Xiangyu's mother looked at Zhong Xiangyu's father with a grim expression.

"Come on, come back with me."

“Yes, Madam.” Zhong Xiangyu’s father said, as if he had known this all along.

I knew his wife would interrogate him again.

"Tell me, what happened?" Zhong Xiangyu's mother asked after entering the room and sitting down in a chair.

"Madam, I don't know the specifics, but it seems our son offended someone outside and got punished."

"Because we bullied someone, my son and I just went to the Prince of Pingxi's mansion to apologize."

“From now on, we’ll have a daughter-in-law, and she’ll be from the Prince of Pingxi’s family,” Zhong Xiangyu’s father said.

"As for Jiang Nuanyi, I feel a bit sorry."

"I don't know how to face my brother and sister-in-law now that this has happened," Zhong Xiangyu's mother said with a troubled expression.

"Sigh, there's nothing we can do about it. After all, she's the legitimate daughter of the Prince of Pingxi's family, and we can't possibly let her be a concubine."

"Don't worry, we'll go together then," Zhong Xiangyu's father comforted him.

"I'm afraid we won't be able to get in the door," Zhong Xiangyu's mother said helplessly.

"We'll talk about it later, Madam, please don't look so worried," Zhong Xiangyu's father quickly coaxed.

"It's all your fault, you gave birth to such a good son!"

"Without you, how could I have been born?" Zhong Xiangyu's biological father said jokingly.

"You're asking for it." Zhong Xiangyu's mother then raised her hands.

After seeing that his wife was no longer frowning, Zhong Xiangyu's biological father played along for a while.

Soon, a commotion erupted from the room.

Three days later

After Zhong Xiangyu recovered, the three of them went to Jiang Nuanyi's residence together.

After a series of difficulties, the three were finally allowed to enter the mansion.

"Cousin, I...I..." Jiang Nuanyi didn't know what to say when she saw Zhong Xiangyu, and words just started flowing before she could finish.

"Cousin, I'm so sorry." Zhong Xiangyu then looked apologetic.

"Cousin." Jiang Nuanyi called out to Zhong Xiangyu after hearing his words, her emotions all contained in that address.

After exchanging a few more words, Zhong Xiangyu left.

Jiang Nuanyi looked at Zhong Xiangyu's back with a complicated expression on her face.

In the past, she could have chosen not to fight for it, but now she has lost her position as the principal wife and has been reduced to a concubine.

The way she acted in front of her cousin just now showed that she was genuinely aggrieved.

Secondly, she wanted her cousin to feel guilty, so that he would be more tolerant of her in the future.

Thinking of this, Jiang Nuanyi took one last look at her cousin's back before turning and leaving.

Half a month later,

On the day after Zhong Xiangyu's wedding, a sedan chair entered through the back door.

"Master, the female lead is very popular right now," Xiaobai said to Mo Qian in the space.

"What's wrong?" Mo Qian asked after putting down the storybook in her hand.

"Master, the female lead is now taking advantage of the fact that no one knows that those timeless masterpieces are actually other people's work, and she's been showing off her literary talent at several banquets." Xiao Bai said with a mocking expression.

"If she found out, she'd probably curse her to death!"

"Okay, I understand." After listening, Mo Qian lowered her head and looked at the storybook again.

It's so boring, not as interesting as the storybook in her hand.

"Master, stop looking! The female lead is meeting with the Third Prince." Xiao Bai was speechless after seeing Mo Qian's expression.

"So what if they meet? It's perfectly normal for the male and female leads to meet," Mo Qian said calmly.

"That's true, no, Master, shouldn't you move around a bit?"

"You've become a bit lazy ever since you dealt with that scumbag couple," Xiaobai said with a helpless expression.

"What do you know? I'm just thinking about it carefully, figuring out what to do next," Mo Qian retorted after hearing Xiao Bai's words.

Although she was somewhat carefree, she couldn't admit it in front of Xiaobai, otherwise she would lose face.

"Then Master, what have you come up with?" Xiao Bai then asked, but judging from its expression, it was clear that it did not believe Mo Qian's nonsense.

"Don't ask around. You'll find out soon enough. Just wait and see," Mo Qian said with a serious expression.

"Hmph," Little White grumbled, dissatisfied.

I was speechless.

However, no matter what, she is its owner, so we should give her some face.

"Alright, alright, Xiaobai won't ask anymore," Xiaobai then relented.

"Yes, this is my good Xiaobai." Mo Qian said with a satisfied look.

Then, he lowered his head again to read the storybook. The misty rain and the pattering of raindrops on the banana leaves made it the perfect time to read a novel.
