"Then what should we do? Just wait?" Du Jiaoniang said with a look of utter despair after hearing Li Juedi's voice.
His voice was filled with deep panic.
"Where is Father?" Li Jue asked, his face showing annoyance after hearing Du Jiaoniang's words.
Then, as if suddenly realizing that Li Zhan was not in the room, he quickly asked.
"Your father has entered the palace." Upon hearing Li Juedi's words, Du Jiaoniang's already unpleasant expression darkened further. Her voice betrayed a hint of panic.
"Now that this matter has spread, there's nothing we can do. We can only hope that there's no evidence."
"Only in this way can the General's Mansion remain safe and sound," Li Jue said immediately after hearing Du Jiaoniang's words, his face clouded with gloom.
"Jue'er, what if we get caught?!" Du Jiaoniang said anxiously after hearing Li Juedi's words, her face showing a hint of fear.
"There's nothing we can do now, we can only wait for Father to come back and see what news he has," Li Jue said with a grim expression.
Upon hearing Li Jue's words, Du Jiaoniang's face turned panicked and anxious.
For a moment, the entire room fell silent.
Only the old lady kept her eyes closed, praying incessantly.
Fifteen minutes later,
"Old Madam"

"Something terrible has happened! The General's Mansion is surrounded!" Just as everyone was anxiously waiting, a scream suddenly came from outside.
The three people in the room changed their expressions upon hearing the sound, their faces turning ashen.
"What happened?" the old lady asked hurriedly after hearing the servant's words. Her voice was filled with urgency.
"Madam, the outside has suddenly been surrounded by the Imperial Guards, and the eunuch has come along with them."
"I saw that things weren't going well, so I came back to report," the servant said quickly after hearing the old lady's words.
His face showed a hint of panic. His voice was filled with fear.
Upon hearing the servant's words, Du Jiaoniang immediately slumped to the ground, her face showing a hint of panic.
Soon after, everyone heard a bustling sound coming from afar.
Then, the emperor's personal eunuch entered the room with an imperial edict in his hand.
Following closely behind him were the Imperial Guards.
"Father-in-law, what brings you here?" The old lady's face turned extremely ugly upon seeing this scene, but she still tried to remain calm and asked.
His voice carried a hint of seriousness.
"Receive the decree." After hearing the old lady's words, the eunuch ignored her and first scanned everyone in the room.
His gaze intensified, especially on Du Jiaoniang and Li Jue.
Then he addressed the crowd.
His voice carried a hint of indifference.
Meanwhile, the old lady and the other two, upon hearing the eunuch's words, composed themselves and knelt down to receive the imperial decree.
The father-in-law then opened the imperial edict and began to read it aloud.
"By the grace of Heaven, the Emperor decrees that the General's Mansion is now harboring the descendants of an enemy state, and is now in a state of... and his son is in a state of..." The eunuch read out the words of the imperial edict word by word.
The three who heard the news from the imperial edict all turned deathly pale, looking extremely grim.
Du Jiaoniang and Li Jue were particularly crazy!
The old lady collapsed to the ground, looking utterly dejected!
After reading the announcement, the eunuch waved to the Imperial Guards behind him.
"Take him away!" The voice was cold.
"Don't grab me! Let go!"

Meanwhile, the people outside the execution ground cheered loudly.
Soon, the executioner picked up a dagger, raised it high, and aimed it at Du Jiaoniang's neck!
"No!" Du Jiaoniang was completely disoriented and terrified.
The sound was somewhat broken!

Then, with a "crack!" sound, Du Jiaoniang's head was thrown high into the air before landing on the ground.
A look of fear and terror appeared on its head!
With Du Jiaoniang's death, the previously crowded execution ground gradually became less congested.
Amid the surging crowd, a horse-drawn carriage was parked at the very back of the open space.
At the door curtain of the carriage, a hand is in a state of lifting it open.
Then, he lowered his hand, and the curtain covered the inside of the car.
"Miss, I never imagined that the General's new wife was from an enemy country," Xiao Lian said to Mo Qian, her face still showing disbelief.
