“Father, just look at this wine pot and you’ll know.”
“Thief, this time you want to target my mother.” Mo Qian then said with a serious expression.
After hearing Mo Qian's words, the Emperor ordered the wine jug that had been filled with red wine to be brought to him.
Then, under everyone's watchful eyes, he took the wine pot, fiddled with it for a moment, and then suddenly turned it around.
"So that's how it is!"
It turns out that the inside of this wine pot is divided into two parts. By rotating the top lid, you can adjust the different liquids inside and pour them out.
"No wonder those of us who drank the wine are all fine now, I see," the Emperor said with a look of sudden realization.
"May Your Majesty enjoy boundless blessings!" the crowd responded in unison.
As the series of events unfolded, the previously relaxed and pleasant atmosphere in the main hall immediately turned somber.
They only relaxed after confirming that the emperor was alright.
"Qian'er, how did you find out?" the Emperor then asked.
“Father, I was feeling a bit restless earlier, so I went out of the main hall and happened to stumble upon this conspiracy when I reached a rockery.”
Mo Qian casually made up a story.
"You're talking nonsense! I never went to the artificial hill, it's clearly a lake..." In desperation, the eunuch confessed to the conspiracy.
"Speak! Continue! I want to know who that damned person is who dared to cause trouble in my palace," the Emperor said sternly.
"Father, afterwards I heard a woman instructing the eunuch on how to do things. Even this wine pot was brought out by that woman, all so that Mother could poison him," Mo Qian then said.
"Do you recognize that woman?" the Emperor quickly asked.
“Your Majesty, it’s the palace maid who serves Consort Shu,” Mo Qian said, pointing to the person.
The people around them were all quietly listening to Mo Qian tell them the details.
But when the eldest princess actually pointed out the murderer, he couldn't help but be a little surprised.
This is said to refer to the palace maids serving Consort Shu, but it actually refers to the mistress.
"Your Majesty, I'm innocent! It wasn't me! How could I dare to do such a treasonous thing!" Consort Shu's face showed a moment of stunned surprise after hearing Mo Qian's words.
I don't know how the conversation ended up focusing on her!
"Consort Shu, what else do you have to say?!"
"I could tolerate you being a bit too strong-willed normally, but now you've actually poisoned the Empress!" the Emperor said angrily.
The others had already looked at Consort Shu when Mo Qian pointed her out.
"Your Majesty, I really didn't do it, please believe me!" Consort Shu cried out loudly, trying to clear her name.
As for the woman who was identified next to Consort Shu, she also seemed to be protesting her innocence.
"Your Majesty, Zhenzhen could not have done such a thing. I beg Your Majesty to investigate thoroughly." A middle-aged man dressed in the robes of a third-rank official stepped forward and knelt before the Emperor.
"Father, please tell the Emperor that I didn't do this." When Consort Shu saw her father, she seemed to have found her pillar of support.
The Third Prince's mother, who was watching the situation unfold, smiled.
She had planned everything long before she even started.
Although everything seemed foolproof, she still left one step unresolved at the very last moment, just before implementation.
The person serving Consort Shu, Li Xin, was one of her people.
Apart from a few of her close confidants, no one else knew.
This story begins ten years ago. When Li Xin first entered the palace, she was often bullied by other palace maids because of her somewhat timid personality.
She met him by chance, because Li Xin looked very similar to her before she got up.
This inevitably made her think of herself.
Back then, when she was being bullied and beaten, she always fantasized that someone could save her and help her escape.
That's why she stepped in to help Li Xin when she saw him being beaten and scolded.
After that, although those who beat and verbally abused Li Xin toned it down somewhat, they still bullied her secretly.
On the third time she encountered him, she called out to Li Xin.
Although she had helped her before, they had no interaction.
This time, however, she spoke to Li Xin with a serious expression.
“If you don’t stand up for yourself, the wicked will not stop, but will become even more wicked. Don’t expect someone to help you every time. This is the last time.”
After saying these words, she left.
Although she left, she still wanted to know what Li Xin would ultimately choose.
So they sent people to secretly observe Li Xin's actions.
Upon learning that Li Xin had used various underhanded tactics to bring those who had bullied her to their doom.
Some were sent out of the palace because they were lame, or because they were disliked and punished by the mistresses they served. Others were sent to places to do hard labor, and so on.
Although her expression didn't change when she learned this, she was still somewhat happy inside.
Why can't the person who gets bullied turn the tables and become the bully?
After receiving the results, she withdrew her contact and stopped paying attention to Li Xin.
Unexpectedly, later, when Li Xin had risen to the rank of second-class palace maid by the side of Consort Shu, she secretly came to find him.
They acknowledged her as their master.
Because of her previous actions, Li Xin completely accepted her from the bottom of his heart.
This is why Li Xin took the initiative to step forward in this plan.
Willingly.
As for the other person, it was the eunuch Zhang Sheng.
That's another story altogether.
However, they all lead to the same goal and are both credible.
“It definitely wasn’t her who did it,” Mo Qian then said.
"Qian'er, what's going on now?"
