Chapter 5 The First Strike Upon Reaching the Shore: Slaying the One I Desire

In this life, without the original owner's help and support, Zhang Yan's life is naturally not as easy as it was in the previous life.

Just as Zhang Yan was worrying about money, he happened to pass by a bar and saw that they were hiring waiters. The pay was much higher than working as a waiter in a restaurant or doing odd jobs at school.

Zhang Yan was in dire need of money, so after seeing the job posting, he went to apply.

Regardless of whether the bar is a mixed bag or not.

Because Zhang Yan looked quite good, he easily found a job at a bar.

So every night, Zhang Yan would work part-time at the bar.

After leaving school, Zhang Yan rushed to the bar.

When Zhang Yan arrived, the bar was already bustling with activity.

Young men and women swayed their bodies on the dance floor, accompanied by lively music.

People were chatting, drinking, and playing cards in the booths...

Within sight, couples were passionately kissing.

In this environment, Zhang Yan, dressed in a waiter's uniform, was serving customers.

If a guest encounters trouble, help them resolve it.

"You, yes, you, come here and tidy up this table."

Just as Zhang Yan was lost in thought, a woman dressed in haute couture called out to him from not far away.

After hearing the sound, Zhang Yan looked over and saw several young, wealthy women who looked to be in their forties drinking and having fun.

Then, when he realized that the person being called was him, Zhang Yan immediately responded.

"Good guest." He then walked toward the group of wealthy women.

After getting closer, Zhang Yan restrained himself from looking at it for too long and bent down to clean up the crumbs on the table.

"Hey buddy, how long have you been here? I don't think I've seen you before?" A lazy female voice came from in front of Zhang Yan as he was busy.

"Sister, I haven't been here long, only about a month," Zhang Yan replied, raising his head with a slight smile.

"Hmm, I knew it. If I've seen this handsome face before, why don't I remember it?" the rich woman said teasingly.

The other wealthy women nearby also chuckled knowingly.

"Sister, you're joking. I'm just average." Zhang Yan said with a hint of embarrassment after hearing the rich woman's words, scratching his head and laughing.

"You look so young, you must still be in school?" the wealthy woman then asked.

"Sis, I haven't graduated yet."

"No wonder, you have such a youthful face." There was a hint of amusement in her voice.

"How did you come up with the idea of working part-time at a bar?" The wealthy woman then picked up her glass of wine, took a sip, and continued to ask.

Her face showed a hint of nonchalance, but when she looked at Zhang Yan, she sized him up for a while, and a look of satisfaction appeared in her eyes.

“My family can’t support me, so I need money and I’m doing part-time work here.” After hearing the rich woman’s words, a hint of sadness flashed across Zhang Yan’s face, but he replied in a flat tone.

However, as if realizing that it was working hours and he couldn't show a bad attitude to the customers, Zhang Yan quickly changed his expression.

"Hmm, stop busying yourself, sit down and chat with me." The wealthy woman then gestured to the seat next to her and said to Zhang Yan, her expression carrying a peculiar meaning.

It seems that as long as Zhang Yan obeys, he will surely reap a great reward tonight.

The other wealthy women nearby exchanged knowing glances and smiled knowingly.

He picked up the glass of red wine on the table while watching what was happening before him.

Upon hearing the rich woman's suggestive words, Zhang Yan immediately understood her true meaning.

After all, Zhang Yan had been at this bar for a while, and even if he hadn't actually experienced some of the things there, he had seen quite a bit.

Naturally, I am very familiar with this.

However, because Zhang Yan was still a college student and had high aspirations, he naturally did not want to follow the crowd like others.

In addition, the wealthy woman was much older than him, so Zhang Yan was not really willing to accept it.

"Sis, I have things to do later. I'll chat with you another time. I'll go take care of my work now." Zhang Yan said to the rich woman with a smile after cleaning up the crumbs on the table.

It looked very natural.

However, the wealthy woman who heard Zhang Yan's words did not have a good look on her face, especially since there were other wealthy women present.

He was very unhappy about losing face.

"Wait, open the red wine on the table." The wealthy woman then instructed Zhang Yan with a serious expression.

A thin layer of condensation permeated the air.

"Okay, sis." Zhang Yan could only reply with a smile after hearing the rich woman's words.

Just as Zhang Yan was about to open the wine bottle, the wealthy woman called over the young man who was also selling wine.

"Want to close a deal?" the wealthy woman asked the young man selling wine, a hint of amusement in her eyes.

"Sister, I'd like to..." Upon hearing the rich woman's words, the young man selling red wine's eyes lit up, knowing a sale was coming. He replied with a beaming smile.

There was a hint of flattery in her voice.

"Drink this bottle of wine." The wealthy woman then pointed to the red wine that Zhang Yan had just opened and said.

A faint smile appeared on her face.

Following the wealthy woman's gesture, the wine salesman looked at the wine on the table.

Although he hesitated a little, he still smiled and replied to the rich woman.

"Great sister, I've never tasted such good wine before. Thanks to you, I can finally satisfy my craving today."

The wealthy woman's face showed a hint of satisfaction upon hearing what the wine salesman said.

Especially when she saw Zhang Yan next to her, a hint of displeasure appeared on her face.
