The tweezers she used were not medical tweezers, but the kind specifically designed for removing fish bones.
After removing most of the fish bones, Lin Xue began to chop the fish meat into a bouncy mince.
Then I added the chopped wild vegetables and started stirring.
Add seasonings and oil, and continue to stir in one direction.
After preparing the dumpling filling, Lin Xue moved the cleaned table over.
He sprinkled some flour on the table, then picked up the dough and kneaded it a few more times.
"We're starting to make dumplings. You two hurry up and come over here to learn with me, so you won't be left without dumplings to eat when you're away from Mom!"
After getting everything ready, Lin Xue called the two children outside in, and the three of them started making dumplings together.
Since Zhu Zi wasn't good at making dumpling wrappers, Lin Xue handed him the task of rolling them out. Although it wasn't very smooth, it was still usable.
This thing can't be rushed; you can only master it through practice.
Sure enough, by the time he had reached the twentieth or thirtieth, Zhu Zi had already mastered the skill of rolling out dumpling wrappers.
Although not every dumpling wrapper is perfectly round yet, the speed has at least more than doubled.
Little Flower is very good at making dumplings; her little hands may be small, but they are very skillful.
Following Lin Xue's example, I picked up a dumpling wrapper and placed it in my left hand, then picked up some filling and placed it in the middle of the wrapper.
Fold the dumpling wrapper in half and pinch it closed. Then place one half of the wrapper in the web between your left thumb and forefinger, and bring your right hand up to meet it. Pinch the two webs together.
A round, plump little dumpling was then wrapped.
Lin Xue prefers this method of pinching dumpling wrappers to pinching them little by little.
She felt that wrapping it up this way was faster and it looked cuter.
"Mom, we only bought two pounds of flour, how come we were able to knead such a big lump of dough?"
"I think this weighs more than two pounds."
As he rolled out the dough, looking at the densely packed little dumplings on the table, and then at the remaining half of the dough, Zhu Zi blinked in confusion.
"Cough cough!"
"How would I know anything about this? Hurry up and wrap them up. Wrap a lot for lunch, and you can send some to your dad to try later!"
"Then I'll bring a bowl to each of the neighbors on the left and right. I've done a lot of foolish things these past two years. If it weren't for our two good neighbors who have taken care of you both, our family might have fallen apart long ago!"
Lin Xue makes dumplings extremely fast; one pillar simply cannot keep up with her pace.
So after wrapping for a while, she would snatch the rolling pin from Zhu Zi's hand and roll out twenty or thirty pieces herself.
Then the rolling pin was returned to Zhu Zi so that he could continue rolling out the dough.
"Okay, I'll take them over once the dumplings are cooked!"
Zhu Zi was also a very kind child, and he always remembered the care the neighbors had given him and his sister.
If his family hadn't been so poor that they had nothing to offer, he would have long wanted to repay the two families on either side.
By the time all the dumplings were cooked, it was almost eleven o'clock.
Lin Xue searched for a deep lunchbox at home, but actually, she couldn't find one after searching for a long time. She had to secretly take out an old one she had used before from her space.
He filled the lunchbox with dumplings and told Zhu Zi to deliver it to Liu Hai as soon as possible.
Liu Hai and the others usually eat around 11 o'clock, so it's just right to send the food over at that time.
"Xiaohua, take this bowl of dumplings to your Aunt Wu first. Be careful on the way, don't fall!"
Seeing that Zhu Zi had left, Lin Xue took out a large bowl, filled it with dumplings, and asked Xiao Hua to deliver it to the neighbor's house.
"Okay, Mom!"
"I've eaten Aunt Wu's dumplings before, but they didn't have any meat in them, just cabbage!"
"Although they were all made of Chinese cabbage, the dumplings tasted so good. I still remember them even now."
"I'll give this bowl of dumplings to Aunt Wu; she'll be very happy!"
Xiaohua carefully carried the bowl of dumplings, muttering to herself as she went out the door.
"This child is really good!"
Watching Xiaohua's retreating figure, Lin Xue murmured to herself.
"bite!"
"The kids are all good kids, they just didn't have a good mother!"
The system seemed to have been watching all along, and upon hearing Lin Xue's remark, it immediately jumped out.
"Who can argue with that? The original owner had a good personality, but ever since she got involved in gambling, she's completely changed!"
Lin Xue continued to scoop out the remaining dumplings and put them into bowls and basins of all sizes throughout the house.
We cooked a lot of dumplings today. Even though we scooped out a small portion, there were still more than half left in the pot, bubbling in the boiling water.
"So, no matter how good a person is, they must not get involved in gambling. Otherwise, no matter how wealthy you are, you will eventually end up with your family ruined and your life destroyed!"
629 wholeheartedly agreed with Lin Xue's words.
"Mom, I gave the dumplings to Aunt Wu. She didn't want them at first, but she accepted them after I told her that we had made a lot at home and that the fish was caught by our own family!"
"Aunt Wu also gave me a bowl of her family's pickled vegetables, which she made herself. They're so delicious!"
Xiao Hua happily returned to Lin Xue's side, carrying a bowl of pickled vegetables.
Lin Xue served her another large bowl and asked her to deliver it to another neighbor, Aunt Zhang.
"You're so great, baby! Take this bowl to Aunt Zhang's house too. Your brother should be back soon, then we can start preparing dinner!"
After watching the little girl leave, Lin Xue took some ginger, smashed two cloves of garlic, and chopped some chili peppers to make a dipping sauce.
