Chapter 53 The Era of the Brother-Supporting Demon (Fifty-Three)

The next day, Lin Xue and Wang Guoqing took their household registration books to the housing management office.

The Wu family had been waiting there for a long time. The one who came was Wu Xianfeng, the second son of the Wu family, who was the captain of the county's security team.

It's said that having connections makes things easier, and their transfer of ownership went very smoothly.

"We're going back to the county today. Here are the house keys; I'm giving them to you now!"

"You can go and see the house after work at noon. The furniture left behind is for you. If you're not comfortable with the door locks, you can change them later!"

"If you encounter any trouble in the future, you can come to me in the county. Although I am just a small security team leader, I still have some connections in our county!"

Before parting, for reasons unknown, Captain Wu said the following to Lin Xue and the others.

Lin Xue and her husband thanked them repeatedly before parting ways.

At lunchtime, as soon as I stepped out of the gate, I saw Old Mrs. Wang waiting there.

"Mother, why did you come today!"

They asked that question, but they knew perfectly well what was going on in their minds.

It seems Wang Guoqing really guessed right; Old Mrs. Wang couldn't wait even for a moment.

“I heard from Guoqing that you bought a house in town. I was worried that you might get scammed, so I came to check it out and give you my opinion!”

Grandma Wang held Lin Xue's hand, thinking how capable her third daughter-in-law was.

Grandma Wang knew very well how capable her son was, and the money to buy the house must have come from her third daughter-in-law selling her game.

She'll have to talk to the old man about giving some subsidies to the third son's family, instead of letting her daughter-in-law take all the money.

Sigh, how much she used to look down on this daughter-in-law, how much she's being slapped in the face now.

Fortunately, Old Mrs. Wang had a thick skin and didn't care about these trivial matters.

He was now holding Lin Xue's hand affectionately, asking about the house.

"Guoqing, over here!"

As soon as Wang Guoqing came out of the gate, Lin Xue immediately greeted him.

The three of them then went together to the newly purchased courtyard.

The Wu family has left, leaving only an empty house.

Lin Xue opened the door with the key and found that the house had not changed much.

The large furniture is still in the house, but the owner's belongings have all been moved out.

Most of the vegetables in the garden were taken away, leaving only a small portion, presumably for them.

"Oh my, third son's wife, you really bought a great house! Look at this bed and table, they're all made of good wood, they won't break even after decades of use!"

Grandma Wang would touch the bed, then the cabinet, and then the large square table.

A moment later, he ran into the kitchen to take a look around, and when he looked again, he was already busy in the vegetable garden.

"We don't need to buy any more furniture for these rooms, but we do need to buy some blankets, pots and pans!"

Lin Xue looked around the house and found that there were still quite a few things missing.

"You don't need to buy blankets and pots and pans, I'll have your older brother bring them over later!"

"You don't need to buy any groceries; I can bring them from home later."

Having already spent so much money on the house, Old Mrs. Wang didn't want the two of them to spend a single penny more.

"Mother, you can decide all of this!"

"The east wing of this house is reserved for you and Dad, and Guoqing and I will live in the west wing!"

"You can arrange the other rooms as you see fit. Once all the stuff is brought over, the children can move in!"

Bringing all her belongings over would take a lot of effort, but Lin Xue didn't mind.

He has already provided accommodation for the Wang family's children, so there's no reason for him to feel bad about asking them to do a little work!

She's not a saint; she's only willing to make concessions because she can profit from it!

They rely on the old lady to help take care of their own children, so what's wrong with making things a little easier for the family?

Isn't that what we should do?

"Don't worry about these things, I'll handle them perfectly!"

When it comes to things she's good at, Grandma Wang is always very confident.

After viewing the house, Lin Xue took the two of them to a state-run restaurant.

Two days later, the house was ready, and the children had already moved in.

Grandma Wang still slept with Wang Mancang and Wang Yating.

Wang Yaqin slept in one room by herself, while the two brothers, Wang Manjiang and Wang Manliang, slept in another room.

Sisters Wang Yali and Wang Yazhen share a room.

At this point, five of the six bedrooms have been occupied, and the remaining one has been left vacant as a guest room.

Since the old lady moved to the city, Lin Xue and Wang Guoqing have stopped eating at the factory.

Factory food never tastes as good as home-cooked food.

They even treated Xiao Shen to a meal as a token of their gratitude for the introduction. Grandma Wang also brought a lot of seasonal vegetables from the village, so much so that Xiao Shen's bicycle could hardly hold them all when he left.

Old Wang would also stroll back to his courtyard after get off work to chat with Old Mrs. Wang for a while.

However, because he had to guard the warehouse at night, he still couldn't go back to the courtyard to stay with Old Mrs. Wang.

But this is already very good, at least everyone is close to the edge.

Time flew by and it was almost Chinese New Year's Eve.

With the children on winter vacation, Grandma Wang took her whole family back to the countryside.

Lin Xue and the others waited until Old Wang's family got a holiday before going back together.

Winters in Northeast China are very cold, and the snowfall is heavy, making the journey difficult.
