Chapter 6 The Era of the Brother-Supporting Demon

"Lin Dabao started it, and my brother-in-law taught him a lesson just to teach him a lesson."

So that they will not, in the future, go out into the world and show the same disrespect to their elders as they do today.

"At that point, it won't be as simple as just teaching them a lesson; they might even lose their lives out there!"

Lin Xue stood behind Old Mrs. Wang, pretending to be very timid. She shrank her neck and silently took a few steps back.

Good heavens, why are they still arguing like this? When are they going to start fighting?

On the surface, she appears to be an innocent and harmless little rabbit, but inside she is incredibly excited.

She couldn't wait for the fight to start so she could take the opportunity to have some fun.

“My daughter-in-law is right. Your son has been spoiled rotten. He actually dared to point his finger at his elders’ faces. He has absolutely no manners!”

Seeing that her daughter-in-law hadn't let her down this time, Old Mrs. Wang felt a little more at ease, and didn't seem as angry as she appeared on the surface.

In Mrs. Wang's heart, as long as her third daughter-in-law stopped bringing everything back to her parents' home as before, and showed some independent thought and took care of her own little family, she would be content.

Grandma Wang really didn't dare to ask too much of her daughter-in-law.

"You, all of you!"

After being teased by her mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, Old Mrs. Lin completely lost face.

Is this still my timid, cowardly, and obedient silly daughter?

No wonder Da Bao said his sister took the grain home; she didn't believe him at first.

Seeing Lin Xue like this now, how could anyone not believe it?

If it weren't for the fact that she looked like her own daughter, Old Mrs. Lin would have doubted that the Lin Xue in front of her was actually her daughter, Lin Xueni.

"Mom, why are you making such a fuss at my door so early in the morning? I wonder what it's all about?"

Lin Xue didn't want to argue with this kind of person any longer, so she quickly sent him away. She also wanted to make something to eat as soon as possible, as she was quite hungry after all that work.

"You shameless slut, how dare you say that?"

You took all the grain from our house last night, didn't you? You heartless bastard, you're trying to kill the Lin family!

Do you want me, your old mother, to starve, or do you want your brothers and sisters to starve?

As soon as this was mentioned, Old Mrs. Lin got excited. She sat down on the ground, patted her legs, and started wailing.

"What nonsense are you talking about? Where did I take any of your grain?"

"It was you and your brothers who, a few days ago, took advantage of my husband's absence and stole all my food."

I was so hungry I had no choice but to go back and bring some back. My two children were crying their eyes out from hunger, and I had no other option.

As Lin Xue spoke with great emotion, she began to choke up, tears welling up in her eyes. It was so pitiful that the onlookers felt a lump in their throats.

"Besides, I didn't get a single grain of rice when I went to your Lin family's house last night."

Lin Dabao kicked me out the door, saying that I was like water spilled from a cup after marriage, and that I was never allowed to go back to my parents' home again!

If you don't believe me, you can ask around along the way and see if anyone saw me carrying grain back from your house.

"Oh dear, my life is so miserable. Not only did my own mother take away all the grain in the house with my brothers, but..."

Now they're turning around and blaming us, leaving us mother and daughter with no way to survive!

Lin Xue cried so hard, and everyone in Qingliu Brigade knew Lin Xue's usual behavior!

That's exactly what people call a "brother-supporting demon," a hopeless case.

She was completely controlled by her family. She would send even a bite or two of food back to her family, preferring to go hungry herself.

The people believed that the Lin family had taken away the grain allocated to Lin Xue's family.

But when it was said that Lin Xue had brought back the grain that the Lin family had taken, no one believed her.

"Oh my God, please strike this unfilial brat with lightning!"

"They say the most vicious heart is a woman's, and this is a vicious woman indeed! That heartless thing stole her mother's grain to support her old Wang family!"

Seeing that no one believed her, Old Mrs. Lin felt a little wronged and cried even more earnestly.

"You old scoundrel! I originally thought my third son's family's grain was being subsidized by his wife, but I never expected it was you, you old scoundrel, who brought your sons to forcibly take it away!"

Upon hearing Lin Xue's words, Grandma Wang disregarded whether they were true or not, and immediately turned her anger towards Grandma Lin.

"So what if I took some food from my daughter's house? It's none of your business, you old hag."

Grandma Lin was in the middle of something exciting when she heard someone interrupting her, so she immediately retorted.

"Go to hell with you, you think you're so great?"

"A down-and-out like you, always thinking about begging from my Wang family, don't you even know if I, Cao Huazhen, will allow it?"

Grandma Wang wasn't one to be trifled with either. She'd been wanting to get her hands on the old man for a while, so she just raised her paw and started scratching him.

"You old hag, I've had my eye on you for ages! You're always stirring up trouble between our Wang family and our daughter-in-law, and you've been stealing all my son's things like a rat. I'll teach you a lesson today!"

Seeing that their mother-in-law had gone up, Liu Suqin and Fang Baozhen couldn't just stand there. They followed behind Old Mrs. Wang and rushed forward.

Lin Xue naturally couldn't go up and fight; her own mother was on one side, and her mother-in-law was on the other, so it wasn't convenient for her to intervene at this time.

Even if there's no opportunity, I'll find one to go up and beat these scumbags a few times.
