"Oh no! Those bandits are charging up the mountain!"
"The baby's crying must have attracted them here. Let's run!"
"Hurry up, those in front! Forget about your belongings, saving your lives is the most important thing!"
After a period of chaos, Lin Xue and her companions rushed forward in a swarm.
Many families didn't even need the flatbed cart anymore; they just grabbed the person and ran.
Things can be earned back, but if a person is gone, you really have nothing left.
"My little wife, shall I carry you and run away?"
The oxcart was too conspicuous, and one family in the village had already abandoned it and fled.
"Husband, give the reins to our father, and let my elder sister-in-law and second sister-in-law take the little one and run together!"
"There aren't many bandits coming. Our village has so many able-bodied men. If we take up arms and fight them, we can hold them off for a while!"

After Lin Xue finished speaking, she picked up her husband's arrow basket.
Then he took out a large earthenware jar from his spatial storage and stuck the arrow into it.

The other two households also heard Lin Xue's words, and the brothers Liu Ping and Liu Qing had already abandoned their flatbed carts and gathered around.

The young men who returned were either holding machetes or axes.
His eyes were firm, his gaze fixed intently on the bandits running up the mountain.
As the bandits drew closer, more and more of them were hit by the arrows of the three Liu brothers.
Those who broke through the defense line were stopped in their tracks by several young men from the village who rushed forward later.
Those fleeing ahead turned red with rage upon witnessing this scene.
However, they did not stop. Instead, they helped the villagers who were separated from their families, carrying children and supporting the elderly, and ran forward as fast as they could.
This opportunity was fought for by the young men in the village. If they don't seize the opportunity and leave quickly, they will be letting down the children's good intentions.
"Brothers, this is a tough one!"
"Everyone, find cover and don't let them hit us."
After several men were hit by arrows, the bandits finally realized what was happening and hid behind large trees.
The person who was shot immediately foamed at the mouth and collapsed to the ground unconscious.
This made later bandits even more cautious.
"Let's fight and retreat at the same time!"
Liu Ping glanced at the bandits who were trying to get closer, and the group of them slowly retreated.
Several bandits successfully circled around to the back of the group, intending to launch a surprise attack.
Lin Xue had already seen their little tricks. Just as they jumped out from the side and behind, Lin Xue turned around and splashed the earthenware pot she was holding behind her.
A splash of water flew out and landed on the group of people.
"ah!"
The group only managed to let out a short scream before collapsing to the ground, unconscious.
"Liu Qing's family, what's in this earthenware pot?"
The young man standing next to her was so frightened by this scene that he stepped aside.
"Ha, it's nothing!"
"It's just a little bit of a sleeping potion!"
Upon hearing that it was just something that would induce sleep, the others breathed a sigh of relief.
