"Look, isn't that the Cloud Witch flying over from the sky?"
Just as everyone was discussing the kind witch, someone suddenly pointed to the sky and shouted loudly.
"Cloud Witch, have you finally returned?"
"Great! The Cloud Witch is finally back!"
Lin Xue felt utterly helpless about the world's terrible naming skills.
It's a beautiful name, like a cloud in the sky.
But when people call her by that strange language, she always feels that adding the word "witch" to her name makes it sound a bit childish.
"Everyone, are you having a party?"
The Cloud Witch sensed someone calling her name, so she descended from the clouds on her magic broom and came above the group.
"Cloud Witch, welcome to our party!"
"You've come all this way, you must be tired. Come down quickly, we have bear meat today!"
Seeing everyone's enthusiasm, Lin Xue put down her chopsticks, stood up, and looked up at the witch named Yun Duo.
This is clearly a Gypsy girl; she has long black hair, a slender figure, and a big smile that makes her seem very approachable.
"It seems we have some new guests. I'm also quite hungry. If you don't mind, I'd like to stay for lunch."
Yunduo jumped off the magic broom, then put the things away before walking into the yard.
"We'd love to welcome you!"
"Cloud Witch, let us introduce you. This is their teacher, who specializes in teaching them swordsmanship."
"Because a grizzly bear ran into the village yesterday, it was this Ms. Xue who helped defeat the bad bear, which is why we are able to have such a sumptuous lunch today."
"Thank you, Sun God! Thank you, Ms. Snow!"
Seeing everyone bow to her, Lin Xue quickly put her hands together in return.
The people here are great in every way, except they're too enthusiastic and like to bow all the time.
"Thank you, Ms. Xue!"
"Where are you from, and where are you going?"
When they first met, Yun Duo sensed the magical fluctuations emanating from Lin Xue and knew that she was also a witch.
But since Lin Xue didn't say anything, she naturally wouldn't expose it.
"I've been traveling all these years and have been to many, many places. Now that I've seen so much, I want to go back to my hometown and see my teacher!"
"After being away for so long, I always miss my hometown and family!"
Yun Duo was surprised that Lin Xue would say that, because as witches, they had always been indifferent to family ties.
Even if their parents were still alive, they wouldn't really welcome them becoming witches.
Her teacher, after she had achieved academic success and reached a certain age, kicked her out.
From the day they became witches, they were destined to be alone.
Furthermore, a second witch is not allowed to exist in the same area.
Of course, this refers to a permanent stay; it's fine if it's just a short stop or a passing through.
"Hearing you say that reminds me of my teacher!"
"But before I left, the teacher told me not to think about her and not to go back easily."
Yun Duo envied Lin Xue for being able to go back to her teacher. As a witch, she lived alone deep in the forest and had always been very lonely.
"Teachers always hope that students will have a better life and want us to focus on our spiritual practice."
"But I believe that spiritual practice begins with cultivating the mind. Since I miss it, I can go back and visit!"
"And my teacher is very old, she must be very lonely, just like us traveling alone."
“We encounter all sorts of people outside, and we are bound by many things.”
"The teacher is alone in his hometown and cannot go out, but our loneliness is the same."
Lin Xue only knew some of the rules among witches.
I don't know where the rumor came from, but it says that witches are apostles of the devil and should stay away from people and live alone.
Lin Xue didn't believe these nonsensees; as a human being, one cannot live without people.
Even people with autism will occasionally want to be close to people and seek out excitement.
We can live alone, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be lonely.
"Yes, loneliness is universal!"
"But this has always been the case, so what can we do?"
Cloud was a little disappointed; even the sweet apple pie couldn't cheer her up.
"That's why I want to go back and see. Who can guarantee I won't be welcomed when I go back?"
"After all, what old man would dislike a filial apprentice?"
Lin Xue smiled, raised her glass, clinked it with Yun Duo's, the two looked at each other and smiled, then drank it all in one gulp.
"You're right, I should find some time to go back and visit!"
"If it were me, I would be very happy to have someone visit me!"
"If it's someone I'm close to, that would be even better. I'll definitely prepare the most sumptuous meal to welcome her."
Originally, Yun Duo hadn't planned to go back to visit her teacher, but after hearing Lin Xue's words, she felt she should go back.
As the kind witch in front of us said, loneliness is universal, and so is happiness.
If the teacher appeared in front of her right now, she would be so happy she would go crazy.
Therefore, it is essential to visit your teacher and bring them joy.
"You're right, loneliness is universal, but don't forget, happiness is too!"
"I am also an old person, and what I love most is to be surrounded by my children and grandchildren. Even if the children are noisy, I will not find it annoying."
