"Haha, finally caught you!"
Lin Xue tied up the little hen's two feet, then picked up about ten wild eggs from the henhouse, scooped them up with the hem of her clothes, and happily prepared to head back.
"Hmph! Hmph!"
Startled by the strange noise, Lin Xue stopped in her tracks.
"What we feared most has come to pass!"
I didn't see any wild boar tracks when I came here before, so how come these wild boars have come here now?
Lin Xue didn't dare to go back just like that. She put the pheasant and its eggs back in their nest, then quickly climbed up a tree and looked into the distance.
"one two three!"
"Why are there only three, and they're all just small wild boars?"
Lin Xue breathed a slight sigh of relief after carefully counting and finding that there were only three wild boar pups.
The wild boar weighed about 100-200 pounds. She estimated that she could probably handle it with her current strength.
After surveying the terrain, Lin Xue slid down from the tree.
Following the route we had previously observed, we headed towards the direction of the wild boar.
She had even chosen her weapons: a few large rocks scattered in various places.
Upon reaching the vicinity of the wild boars, Lin Xue picked up a large rock and smashed it down on the head of one of the boars.
"Ang~ga!"
The wild boar that was hit only had time to thrash around a couple of times before it died.
The other two wild boars, startled, ran off in two different directions.
Lin Xue hurriedly chased after one of them, and halfway there picked up a stone she had previously chosen, raised it, and threw it at the wild boar that was running for its life.
Seeing that the thrown stone had hit its target, Lin Xue immediately chased after the third wild boar without looking back.
Fortunately, the wild boar, in its panic, accidentally bumped into a tree and tripped twice over vines on the ground, so it didn't run too far.
Lin Xue quickly caught up, picked up a stone from the roadside, and used the same method to send the little wild boar to its death as well.
"Whoosh~ Whoosh~ Whoosh~"
After doing all this, Lin Xue leaned against a tree trunk and began to breathe heavily.
Oh my god, that scared her to death.
Fortunately, the three little wild boars were dealt with, but we couldn't stay in this place for long and had to leave quickly.
Lin Xue grabbed the hind legs of the two wild boar pups and headed towards where Grandma Wang was.
After not seeing Lin Xue return for a while, Old Mrs. Wang squatted back down to pick mushrooms from the ground.
When she heard the sound, she looked up and saw her third daughter-in-law dragging a wild boar toward her.
"Oh my God! How did I end up with this thing?"
"Snowy, are you alright?"
"Let me see you quickly. How can you be so brave? What if something happens to you? How am I supposed to explain this to Guoqing?!"
Grandma Wang wiggled her short legs and tiptoed over to Lin Xue's side.
Ignoring the two wild boars on the ground, he pulled Lin Xue over and thoroughly examined her from head to toe.
"Mother, I'm alright!"
"You stay here and watch over it. There's another wild boar behind us. I'll go and bring it back!"
Lin Xue was worried that if the wild boar carcass was left there, other wild animals would come and eat it.
Although they were very touched by Grandma Wang's actions, they couldn't just throw away the meat they had worked so hard to catch.
"besides?"
Upon hearing that there was another wild boar, Old Mrs. Wang felt not happy, but rather a chill ran through her body.
How come her third daughter-in-law is so capable?
I thought that killing two wild boars would be the best I could hope for, but I ended up missing another one.
"Walk slowly, do you need my help?"
Grandma Wang was very anxious when she saw Lin Xue disappear in a flash.
Then look at the two wild boars on the ground and the pheasant in the basket.
Sigh, I guess I'll just have to accept my fate and stay here guarding the place.
Soon, Lin Xue brought the wild boar back as well.
At the same time, he was holding a pheasant in one hand and tightly clutching the hem of his clothes, inside which were wild eggs he had picked up earlier.
"Oh my goodness!"
"Third brother's wife, how are you so capable? You said you caught so many wild boars, how did you manage to hunt them all?"
If she hadn't just checked, the old lady would have never seen anyone escape unscathed after killing three wild boars.
"Just fight it like that! See a wild boar, grab a rock and smash it on the head, it's that simple!"
Lin Xue spoke lightly, but Old Mrs. Wang did not think so.
This child is definitely not telling the truth because he's afraid I'll worry.
"Mother, what should we do with these wild boars?"
Lin Xue glanced at the three wild boars on the ground. These days, large game hunted in the mountains must be handed over to the village, but Lin Xue was reluctant to give the meat to the village for nothing.
Why should she share the wild boar she hunted with others?
When the original owner was on the verge of starvation, those people didn't give them a single grain of rice.
"Taking this meat out should get us a lot of grain and money!"
"Third brother's wife, if you trust me, leave this matter to me!"
After thinking it over in her heart, Old Mrs. Wang realized that her family had some connections, even though the authorities had been stricter in recent years.
But as the old saying goes, for every policy from above, there's a countermeasure from below.
A living person can't die from holding in their pee.
"Mother, aren't you planning to hand it over to the authorities?"
From the old lady's words, Lin Xue could tell that she had no intention of handing it over to the authorities.
Thinking about it that way, I just asked the question.
