He just looked slow and leisurely, and only paced forward after everyone behind him had rushed out. The blade flashed with a cold light, reflecting the dark clouds that were slowly gathering in the sky.
When Zhou Jing'an raised the knife, he was still thinking - go home quickly, Ling'er is still waiting for him.
-
Flames shot up into the sky and smoke billowed.
Chang Shu casually threw the tinder aside, and the burning sparks flashed twice.
The exquisite and beautiful courtyard in front of her was ablaze with flames that shot up into the sky. The three large characters "Zhenxiaxie" were burning with a red glow, illuminating the excitement and jealousy in Chang Shu's eyes.
She whispered softly, "Such a beautiful pavilion, what a pity."
I don't know who she was talking to, she just stared at the burning fire in front of her. Chang Shu's face suddenly twisted and her voice sounded like it was poisoned.
"Since I can't live here, it doesn't matter if it's burned down or destroyed!"
She laughed heartily, her eyes reddening as she laughed, but she was still filled with resentment. "It's a pity that bitch Jiang Ling isn't here! It would have been so much better if she and this Zhenxiaxie had been buried in the sea of fire together!"
"Wow! You're such a bad-hearted bastard!"
A female voice suddenly came from behind her, and Chang Shu was stunned.
Aren't you supposed to be watching? How come someone's here so soon?
But before she could figure out what was going on, she was kicked to the ground and fell right in front of the tinderbox.
Zhou Huanan retracted her foot, her hands on her hips, and angrily cursed, "How dare you ask someone to send me away! Fortunately, I reacted quickly and caught you in the act!"
Chang Shu covered her back in pain, "How did you know?!"
Zhou Huanan ordered people to put out the fire quickly, and then asked people to tie her up. I was so angry that I wanted to laugh after hearing what she said.
"Do you think we can't see your little tricks?"
She waved her hand, and someone brought over a dozen servants who were tied up.
Zhou Huanan scoffed, "Without our deliberate laxity and acquiescence, would you have been able to enter my Zhou family?"
She didn't want to talk to her anymore, so she waved her hand and had her taken away. She looked at the half-burned Zhenxiaxie and felt annoyed.
"I finally managed to get this job from my brother, but I was caught off guard by Chang Shu."
Zhou Huanan pursed her lips and frowned, muttering softly, "Brother, you won't scold me when you see how much of the ancestral hall and the Pillow Cloud Pavilion have been burned."
