Since the first snow, the weather has been getting colder day by day.
Jiang Ling's taste was not very stable. In addition, he had been depressed these days and had a poor appetite, so he ate much less.
But last night everyone had a lively meal together, and Jiang Ling ate a little more, which was rare for her.
As a result, when I woke up this morning, I felt bloated and couldn't eat much of the delicious breakfast in front of me.
Zhou Jing'an's eyes were filled with worry. He brought a bowl of yam and lily porridge to her side, scooped it up to her lips with a porcelain spoon, and coaxed her gently, "Have a few more bites, okay?"
Jiang Ling pouted and shook her head: "I don't want to eat."
"How can you not eat?" Zhou Jing'an frowned and asked her patiently, "Then do you want to eat something? I'll ask them to make it."
Jiang Ling lowered her eyes and thought for a moment, blinked, looked at him and raised the corner of her lips: "I want to eat candied haws."
Zhou Jing'an put down the porcelain bowl, smiled and stood up, "I'll go buy it for Ling'er."
After saying that, he turned around and walked away.
When he returned on horseback, carrying a bunch of hay stakes in his hand, Jiang Ling was walking in the small garden.
Today she was wearing a rose-red Shu brocade cotton dress with a thick white cloak on the outside. Her collar was decorated with a circle of fluffy fox fur, which made her little face look bright and beautiful.
Jiang Ling looked up at the green plum blossoms that were growing well, and couldn't help but look forward to seeing them bloom.
Her eyes were shining, her face was as white as jade, the tip of her nose was red from the morning breeze, but her lips were raised, and she looked in a happy mood.
Zhou Jing'an stared at her infatuatedly, then walked over lightly, held a bunch of candied haws in front of her, and said softly, "These are new candied haws. Miss, would you be so kind as to buy a bunch to try?"
Jiang Ling's eyes were suddenly filled with red. The candied haws were plump and bright, with shiny candies revealing the red hawthorns inside. The sight of them made people salivate.
She looked back in surprise and saw Zhou Jing'an's gentle eyes.
"Why did you buy so much?"
Zhou Jing'an held up a bunch of candied haws for her to admire, and said softly, "They look nice, so I bought them all."
Fortunately, the weather is cold, so the food won’t go bad even if it’s not eaten.
He looked at Jiang Ling's happy face and thought he had made the right purchase.
Jiang Ling's eyes were bright as she looked at the twenty or so candied haws and reached out to take a string.
He opened his mouth and took a bite. The sour hawthorn mixed with the sweet sugar in his mouth made his dull taste buds explode with sour, sweet and juicy fireworks in this cold winter day. Jiang Ling smiled with joy.
"tasty."
Her mouth was stuffed with candied haws, and she could hardly speak clearly, but she still spoke words of praise and raised her hand to let Zhou Jing'an try one as well.
Zhou Jing'an usually didn't like these snacks, but he ate them without hesitation. He lowered his eyes to savor them for a moment, then nodded in an exaggerated manner, "It's really good."
Jiang Ling laughed and hit him, realizing that he was acting. She turned around and admired the bunch of candied haws, each one red and cute.
Zhou Jingan took her hand and found it was indeed a little cold, so he frowned and said coaxingly: "It's cold outside, let's go back to the house."
Seeing that her nose was frozen red, he turned around and handed the candied haws to Ye Song, and stroked her face with his warm palms.
Jiang Ling was eating a candied haws and had no words to speak, so she nodded and let him pull her back to the house.
She was eating a candied haws in her left hand, while Zhou Jing'an held her right hand in his palm and placed it on the charcoal brazier to warm it. When her little hand was no longer cold, Zhou Jing'an took her left hand to warm it again and switched to holding the skewer in his right hand.
Jiang Ling saw him bending over and roasting the food seriously, holding her hand as if he was doing official business. She pulled her hand back playfully, pointed at her nose, and blinked, "It's cold here too."
Not only the tip of the nose, but also the cheeks were red from the cold.
Zhou Jingan said, "It's so cold today, and it just snowed. Don't go out easily, and don't play in the snow."
Jiang Ling refused, "I still want to build a snowman and have a snowball fight."
Zhou Jing'an frowned, put his arm around her waist and held her in his arms, then lowered his head to kiss her nose and cheeks, feeling a chill.
While kissing her, she whispered, "No, it's cold and the snow is slippery. What if you fall?"
Jiang Ling put the skewers aside and looked at his serious face, thinking about how to make him relax.
"Are you still cold? How about having someone make you a bowl of ginger soup?"
Before he could finish his words, Jiang Ling reached out and pulled his collar, raised her head and kissed him.
A kiss, a word.
"I want to play in the snow."
She stared at him and kissed him again.
"I just want to play."
She blinked, her eyelashes fluttering, and kissed again.
"I want you to play with me, too."
Jiang Ling pouted, grabbed his collar, and called him softly, "Zhou Jing'an~"
The ending note swirled, floating around and seducing his heart.
Zhou Jing'an's heartbeat quickened quietly, and his hands holding her became a little stiff.
The Adam's apple rolled slightly and the eyelashes trembled slightly.
It's over, his heart told him, you've fallen.
Jiang Ling blinked at him with her bright eyes, pulled his collar down with her left hand, and hooked his neck dishonestly with her right hand.
The two were so close together that Jiang Ling only needed to lift her chin slightly to kiss his lips, but she stopped, staring into his eyes and smiling, her voice very soft and gentle, "My husband, please stay with me."
Zhou Jing'an felt the heat rising to his head, making his throat dry and itchy. He could only swallow continuously, his eyes moving back and forth between her eyes and lips, with only one sentence echoing in his mind - why hasn't Ling'er kissed him yet.
"I... Ling'er..."
He opened his mouth, his voice was hoarse, but he couldn't say anything. He just stared at her in a daze.
Jiang Ling kissed him again as if to give him a sweet treat, and the soft touch aroused a shudder in him.
