Jiang Ling gave Zhou Jing'an a comforting look and asked, "Why are there no records of Da Gan in modern books? What's going on?"
Fox looked at Zhou Jing'an, who was looking at it eagerly.
"Well," it said with a grin, "because Da Gan is in another parallel world."
Zhou Jing'an was stunned. "Parallel... parallel world, what is it?"
Jiang Ling cooperated with the performance and asked in surprise: "There really is a parallel world? I thought it was all fake."
Foxy wagged his big tail, "If time travel is real, how can the parallel world not be real too?"
"Oh, right." Jiang Ling smiled, turned to look at Zhou Jing'an, took out his phone, searched for information about the parallel world, and handed it to him, "Take a look."
Zhou Jing'an took it and looked down at it.
Jiang Ling and Hu Hu looked at each other and waited quietly for his reaction.
This was indeed difficult for Zhou Jing'an to understand, as it concerned the existence of Da Gan, and Zhou Jing'an looked at it very carefully.
Seeing that Fox was bored, Jiang Ling let it go for a walk by itself. This was its new home and it had never been here before.
The fox flew away, wagging its tail.
Jiang Ling stroked Zhou Jing'an's back and said softly, "Don't worry, take your time."
An hour later, Zhou Jing'an finally put down his phone.
Seeing this, Fox explained, "Da Gan is in another world that is progressing at the same time as us, that is, a parallel world. There, the rules of operation are the same as this world, but the development trajectory is different."
It explained in great detail: "For example, why does Da Gan exist in that world but not in this world? It's because when Da Shun fell, the successor was different and the dynasty established was also different. Therefore, Da Gan did not exist in this world, and the Da Gan where Zhou Jing'an and the host lived was in another parallel world."
Hu Hu spoke very clearly and seriously.
Even Jiang Ling listened to it for a while.
She looked at Zhou Jingan and said with a smile, "How is it? Are you relieved?"
Zhou Jingan pursed his lips and asked, "In that case, can you let me see Dagan?"
He wanted to make sure it was true.
"Dagan happened thousands of years ago, so Daagan after my death will also know about it, right?"
Jiang Ling couldn't help but look at Hu Hu, feeling a little nervous.
But Foxy waved his hand, and a void screen appeared before them. "Simple, you want to see how long it's been since you died?"
Zhou Jing'an pondered for a moment, "How long has Da Gan survived?"
"Three hundred and twenty-eight years," Fox replied, "it's counted from the time Feng Gan established the Great Gan."
He was stunned. Da Gan's survival time was shorter than he thought.
"Can I see what Ah Xian looks like when he's old and what Da Gan looks like when he's destroyed?"
Foxy raised an eyebrow and waved, and a scene appeared before their eyes.
The picture shows the familiar Zhou Mansion. Zhou Xian is holding a hoe and tending to the flowers in the small garden of Qiyun Pavilion. He has a beard and is thinner than the two people remembered, but he is in good spirits.
Jiang Ling was stunned, yet surprised.
"I didn't expect Ah Xian to look like this when he gets old."
Zhou Jing'an said nothing and looked at the screen carefully.
After Zhou Xian had taken care of the flowers and plants, the garden was still full of vitality. He entered the main hall of Qiyun Pavilion. There was a portrait hanging in the hall, and the picture was moving forward. It was of Jiang Ling and Zhou Jing'an.
The two people in the portrait are wearing wedding clothes, sitting upright, talking and laughing, and they look very well-matched.
Jiang Ling was stunned. "When did this painting come into being?"
Zhou Jing'an touched his nose and said a little embarrassedly, "After you left, I often came to Qiyun Pavilion and hung up all the portraits of you and me inside. I remembered that I forgot to paint a portrait as a souvenir for our wedding, and I felt sorry for it, so I asked an artist to paint one based on the portraits of you and me when we were young."
"Is that so?" Jiang Ling smiled faintly, "The drawing is quite similar."
The scene continued. Zhou Xian first bowed to the portrait, and then walked around the Qiyun Pavilion. Just as Zhou Jing'an said, the whole room was hung with portraits of Jiang Ling, many of which she had never seen before.
Jiang Ling looked at Zhou Jing'an in surprise, making his ears turn red.
He glanced at Hu Hu and whispered, "Ling'er, I'll talk to you later."
There are others here.
Jiang Ling chuckled and didn't ask anything else for the time being. Zhou Jing'an hurriedly asked Hu Hu to switch to the scene of Da Gan's demise.
It was a winter day when the iron hoofs of Nanzhao trampled on the imperial palace in the capital. The ground was covered with snow and the people fled in all directions. The emperor at that time had already been protected and escaped. The palace was easily taken over by Nanzhao and changed its name from then on.
Zhou Jing'an felt sad and sighed softly.
"It was the last king of Dagan who was extremely licentious and tyrannical, which led to the disaster. Dagan was already at the end of its strength at that time." Fox explained and closed the screen.
Jiang Ling also advised: "That will happen more than two hundred years from now, and it is not something you can control. Day and night change, this is a fixed number."
He lowered his eyes and nodded, "I know."
Jiang Ling patted his back and said, "We ran away. Were we talking about parallel worlds? So you feel relieved now, right?"
Zhou Jing'an nodded gently, and his heart slowly calmed down.
As long as it's true, it's fine.
Jiang Ling bid farewell to Hu Hu, holding his face and whispering comfortingly: "I didn't expect the parallel world to be real, but at least Da Gan is really there. You and I can prove it, right?"
Zhou Jingan hugged her tightly.
"I will always be with you, Zhou Jing'an. No matter whether Da Gan exists in this world or not, I will always be with you."
Her voice was as gentle as the wind, but it was not the biting night wind that never stopped, but the morning breeze that carried the fragrance of flowers and sunshine.
