Modern Extra 11

What Zhou Jing'an meant by "don't mess around" was not quite the same as what Jiang Ling understood. After the clouds stopped and the rain stopped, Jiang Ling glanced at the sky and it was already twelve o'clock.

After living in Dagan for twenty years, she has long learned to judge the time by looking at the sky.

She clenched her fist and hit him, but Zhou Jing'an buried his head in her neck and rubbed it, asking her in a gentle voice if she was being good today.

He keeps his word and he won't do anything wrong.

Jiang Ling sighed softly and calmly set a rule with him, "No more than twelve o'clock in the future."

Zhou Jing'an, who was still rubbing the side of her face affectionately, paused and looked up in disbelief, "Why? Ling'er, are you feeling uncomfortable somewhere?" As he said that, he was about to check.

Jiang Ling was afraid that he would do something wrong again, so she quickly stopped him.

"You can't stay up late. It's bad for your health and will make you age faster," she said lightly.

Zhou Jing'an frowned and held her tightly with a look of grievance, obviously disagreeing with this rule.

Seeing him clinging to her like a big aggrieved dog, Jiang Ling wanted to laugh.

She deliberately lowered her voice and asked, "Why? Don't you want to?"

Zhou Jingan shook his head gloomily, "I don't want to."

"Rejected." Jiang Ling made the decision directly and pushed him. "Hurry up and lie down. It's time to sleep."

Zhou Jing'an raised his eyes to look at her, his eyes were filled with resentment. He sighed softly and whispered, "Ling'er always bullies people."

Jiang Ling laughed and pinched his face, "Hey, who is bullying who?"

He was full of energy, while she was so tired that she just wanted to sleep.

You're actually trying to turn the tables?

It's totally unfair.

"I won't bully Ling'er." Zhou Jing'an lowered his head and kissed her lips, using his beauty trap. His peach blossom eyes stared at her eagerly, wanting her to retract this unreasonable rule.

Jiang Ling closed her eyes to prevent herself from being soft-hearted.

She has been staying up late for so long and is so exhausted. She can’t go on like this, otherwise she will become bald sooner or later!

For the sake of her beautiful hair, Jiang Ling cruelly turned her back and covered herself tightly with the quilt. "Don't tempt me again. I won't be soft-hearted."

Zhou Jing'an's eyebrows drooped, and he stared at her back for a few seconds. Suddenly, his eyes lit up, and a smile flashed in his eyes. He went over, hugged her, and lay down safely.

"Okay, just listen to Ling'er."

Jiang Ling was so sleepy that she couldn't open her eyes and didn't hear the smile that could not be concealed in his words.

There was only half a month left before Su Yan's film, "Listening to the Cicadas in the Wind," started filming. Jiang Ling didn't have much work to do, with only two business events to attend. The rest of her time was spent training Zhou Jing'an.

Although she is not a professional actor, she has been acting for several years and has some experience to share.

The contract has been signed, and Su Yan sent them the script. The two have read it and found it to be a good script.

"I always act the stupid way, which is to read the script over and over again, understand it, and thoroughly understand all the story lines. Then I put myself in the role and live it for her."

This method can be roughly classified as experiential. She has never studied theory. She only took a few lessons from an acting teacher hired by the company when she first entered the circle. However, for people like them who are not very talented and only have a decent face, they were only taught how to express emotions in the simplest and most direct way. They would not teach anything more complicated.

After that, Jiang Ling explored her acting skills on her own, such as how to act happy, angry, and sad. She gradually discovered things beyond the rules taught by her teacher, and her acting became more flexible.

Actors like her who are experiential can handle simple roles, but they can't perform more complicated ones.

Jiang Ling still remembers that she took on a movie when she was 21 years old. At that time, she had been acting for three years, all of which were small roles. She was not very outstanding but she did not make any mistakes either. Gradually, she accumulated some fans.

The company wanted her to go further and signed her to play the third female role in a movie. She didn't have many scenes, but her character was very well-developed. She was a princess who grew up with great care in the early years, but her country and family were destroyed in the later years. She approached the male protagonist for an opportunity to take revenge, but she fell in love with him uncontrollably. Her assassination plan failed and she was besieged in the hall by thousands of archers. She cried and complained about the injustice of fate, every word was heartbreaking, and finally she pulled out her hairpin and committed suicide.

This character is undoubtedly very complex. He is not a simple naive person, nor is he a ruthless avenger. The last scene even has a long monologue. If performed well, it will be a highlight moment and will be very brilliant.

But she blew it.

The emotional segments are not clearly segmented, and there is no sense of accumulation of layers gradually reaching a climax. The emotions are not on top, which makes people feel sorry for watching it. The audience says that it is not satisfying, and they feel uncomfortable because they have a breath stuck in their chest.

Voices of ridicule and slander followed one after another, saying that she had wasted the role. It was the first time that Jiang Ling was subjected to such a large-scale online violence. She felt very uncomfortable at the beginning, feeling wronged, ashamed, and guilty about the role.

She took a break for a while, and continued acting after she adjusted herself. After that, the company had no plans to promote her, so she continued to play those unimportant and transparent roles. Although the voices of abuse still followed her like a shadow, she no longer cared.

It is a fact that she did not perform well, and of course she has to bear the consequences.

Therefore, she was very cautious in accepting roles afterwards. Whenever she encountered some challenges, she would practice again and again and polish her skills. She could not achieve perfection, but at least she would pass.

Jiang Ling now feels that it was a blessing in disguise for her. Falling down early is much less severe than standing higher and then falling down.

And the reason why her acting skills have improved so much now is also because of that incident.

This was the only method she could teach Zhou Jing'an. Fortunately, both of their characters were not complicated. He Xuan was cold and indifferent and didn't like to talk, but he was righteous. Xiao Hui was innocent and loved to laugh, but he was also thoughtful.
