Zhou Jing'an clung to her and refused to let go. Jiang Ling let him hold her and asked him about what happened after her death.
"After you left, I couldn't muster the energy to do anything." When Zhou Jing'an said this, his eyebrows drooped, as if he recalled the scene at that time, "If that fool hadn't come to me, I might..."
Jiang Ling lifted his face and made him look into her eyes. "Hmm? Are you going to abandon the Great Gan Dynasty and the entire Zhou Mansion and follow me?"
Zhou Jing'an was looked at by her like this and didn't dare to speak when he heard her question.
He quietly held her tighter and pursed his lips, "Ling'er, don't be angry. I remember everything you said to me before you left."
Jiang Ling was dying at the time and was held in his arms. Seeing him crying, he had no choice but to tell him not to dwell on trivial matters or to hurt himself. He told him to live well and take good care of himself and his children.
She looked at Zhou Jingan's guilty expression and pinched his face helplessly, "Why are you always like this? You make me worry."
Even though she's dead, she still can't let go.
Zhou Jing'an held her hand and placed it against his cheek, rubbing it affectionately, his eyes full of longing. "If you hadn't foolishly promised me to take me to see you, and told you to tell it to tell me not to do anything stupid, I don't know how I would have gotten through the remaining ten years."
He spent another ten years in an ordinary way. Although he suffered many injuries in his youth and was ill in the following years, he died of old age.
In the miserable days that followed, seeing Jiang Ling was his only hope.
Jiang Ling stroked his cheek along with his strength and sighed helplessly, "It's only been ten years. Is it because you were injured too many times earlier that you have developed a chronic illness?"
He shook his head and said indifferently: "In the Dagan Dynasty, it is considered a long life."
Jiang Ling wanted to ask him something else, but when she heard the nurse's voice in the corridor, she suddenly remembered that now was not the time to gossip.
Zhou Jing'an had just arrived, and unlike her who had traveled from the present to the past and was still able to adapt, he had now come to a completely unfamiliar world.
"We'll talk about it in detail later. I'll give you a basic introduction first."
At least Qingqing and the dean will come back soon, so don't let anything get out of hand.
Zhou Jing'an became serious, looked at her and nodded.
But being asked to learn so much all of a sudden, Jiang Ling really didn't know where to start and was a little overwhelmed.
Should I start with history, or talk about evolution, or explain what the cell phone with the broken screen next to her is?
Jiang Ling scratched his head and thought for a long time before deciding to tell him what his current identity was. Otherwise, if the nurse called him and he didn't respond, he would be exposed.
She glanced at the private hospital's sign and said, "Zhou Jing'an, you are a doctor now. A doctor is a doctor from the Great Gan Dynasty, not an imperial physician. You are a common doctor."
Zhou Jingan nodded, "Okay."
Only now did he take a serious look at the furnishings in the room. The more he looked, the more unfamiliar it seemed. He frowned and pursed his lips, "Ling'er, but I only know a little bit about medical skills, and now this..."
Jiang Ling thought for a moment and said patiently, "We are now in a time thousands of years after the Great Qian Dynasty. Whether it's medical skills or other aspects, there have been great developments. Nowadays, there is not only Traditional Chinese Medicine, which you are familiar with, but also Western Medicine, which was introduced from abroad. The hospital we are in is a place where Western medicine is treated."
Zhou Jing'an blinked, tried to understand, and nodded.
"Do you have any memories of this?" Jiang Ling suddenly asked. Didn't she still have the original owner's memories when she traveled through time? If she had some memories, it would be much easier to explain.
Facing Jiang Ling's expectant gaze, Zhou Jing'an shook his head hesitantly, "No."
Jiang Ling was deflated. Well, she was traveling through time and space into the body of an existing person, and Zhou Jing'an was simply a reappearance, so of course he would have no memory.
If you foolishly sent him here, then at least you should be responsible for popularizing modern knowledge to him, right?
She sighed, looked up at Zhou Jingan who had a confused look on his face, suddenly tilted her head and smiled, raised her hand to lift his chin and took a closer look.
"Logically, even if you traveled through time, you should be a fifty-year-old uncle. How come you are so young?"
It's unscientific and very strange.
Thinking of this, Jiang Ling wanted to laugh again. None of the things she had experienced were scientific.
Zhou Jing'an stared at her, his ears burning. "I haven't looked in the mirror yet. Do you like the way I look now, Ling'er?"
Jiang Ling looked at him with a frown, pretending to be profound. Finally, she smiled at his increasingly unsure expression. "I think you're about 25, young and handsome. I like you."
He breathed a sigh of relief, took her hand and squeezed it, saying softly, "Ling'er always teases me."
Jiang Ling suddenly remembered something, "Although you are a doctor now, your medical skills are completely inadequate. Why don't you quit?"
Otherwise, if a doctor really did this, wouldn't that be harmful to others?
Zhou Jing'an had no objection, so Jiang Ling picked up her broken phone and tried to send a message to Qingqing. Fortunately, it went through, so she asked her to bring a computer over.
Since Zhou Jing'an could appear out of nowhere, then resigning wouldn't be such a hassle, right? Just send an email and it would be fine. She called out to Fox a few times, wanting to get some clarification.
"Let me show you the things in the room first. Get familiar with them first, and then I'll explain everything to you in detail when we get home, okay?"
Zhou Jing'an nodded and followed her obediently.
"This is a chair, called a sofa here. That's a TV, a stage? It's pretty much that. There are all kinds of programs in it. And this, eh? What is this?"
