Chapter 140: A Tiger in Trouble

Jiang Ling listened to his hoarse voice calling her name, tears welling up in her eyes.

"I thought you were dead, do you know..." She seemed to be complaining, her voice sounding both coquettish and scolding.

Zhou Jing soothed her cheek gently.

He curled the corners of his lips and coaxed in a low voice: "How could I die if I haven't married you yet?"

Jiang Ling's eyelashes trembled slightly, and in the blink of an eye, a crystal teardrop fell, "plop", and landed in the corner of Zhou Jing'an's eye.

The tears rolled down, against the red corners of his eyes, as if they were his tears.

"Ling'er, don't cry. It's my fault." His fingertips gently rubbed her cheek, wiping away her tears.

Jiang Ling glanced at his cracked lips and asked, "Would you like some water?"

Zhou Jing'an nodded, without even thinking of asking where the water came from.

"How are you feeling now?"

She helped him sit up and lean against the stone wall.

Zhou Jing'an nodded slightly and said it was okay. He rolled his eyes and saw the situation inside the cave clearly.

The cave was not big, and there was nothing inside except rocks. There was a fire at his feet, and his outer robe was draped on a large rock nearby to be smoked, and blood stains could be vaguely seen on it.

Next to the fire were three stones with sunken centers filled with clear water.

Jiang Ling sat down next to him and asked, "Were you lip-syncing me earlier to buy me time?"

"Yes." Zhou Jing'an turned to look at her, hesitated for a moment, then took her hand, his eyebrows slightly curved, and praised: "Ling'er is really smart, she guessed it right."

Jiang Ling raised her eyebrows slightly, "I knew you wouldn't be caught so easily, you really are cheating."

Zhou Jing'an raised the corners of his mouth and said in a cheerful voice, "So I am so powerful in Ling'er's heart?"

His face was now slightly flushed, stained with some blood, and his hair was no longer as neat and tidy as before, with a few strands of hair hanging down in front of his forehead. His eyes were bright, reflecting the firelight, and because he had just drunk some water, his lips were moist, and his smile added a bit of rebelliousness.

Jiang Ling was stunned for a moment before turning his head away and staring at the firelight and said, "Of course he has some skills."

Then he frowned in dissatisfaction, "But don't use such tricks again in the future. You also deliberately got injured during the last autumn hunt."

She snorted softly, "If you do this again in the future, no one will care whether you live or die."

Zhou Jingan said quickly, "I understand. I won't make you worry anymore."

He coaxed her a few more times, and found that the wound on her left arm seemed to be still bleeding, and immediately frowned: "Let me see your wound."

Just now, Jiang Ling deliberately avoided him and didn't let him see her.

"The wound is not deep, it's nothing serious." She turned to the side again.

Almost all the wound medicine given by Huhu was used on Zhou Jing'an. His wound was very deep and would definitely become ulcerated and inflamed if not treated in time.

Zhou Jing'an refused, "Let me take a look." He turned around and chased after her, forcefully turning her body over.

Jiang Ling had no choice but to turn around and said, "Look."

Her turquoise sleeves were soaked with blood, and when her fingertips touched the wound, she seemed to feel the blood still flowing out.

Zhou Jing'an kept silent with a sullen face. He took his sword and cut off a piece of clean fabric from his undershirt.

"I just bandaged it, it just broke open again." Jiang Ling said weakly.

"Where's the medicine?" he asked.

He could feel that his wounds were treated with medicine.

Jiang Ling's eyes flickered slightly, "I only brought one bottle, and I gave it all to you."

Actually, it wasn't a whole bottle, and there was still a little left, but she was afraid that his wound would reopen, so she planned to keep it for him.

Zhou Jing'an looked at her without saying a word, then suddenly quickly pulled out a small porcelain bottle from her waist, opened it and took a look, his expression became even uglier.

Clearly there is more.

Zhou Jingan pursed his lips, feeling angry and distressed.

"Um...is there more?" Jiang Ling couldn't get it in return, so he just laughed it off.

He didn't say anything, just stared at her, and his meaning was very clear: he would wait for her to take off her clothes so that he could bandage her.

The two of them remained in a stalemate for a long time. Zhou Jing'an said in a deep voice, "Do you want me to help you?"

Jiang Ling was helpless and said, "I'll do it myself." Then she started to undress.

-

The wound was on her left upper arm, and in order to bandage it she had to take off half of her clothes.

Although I had worn suspender skirts in my previous life, it was still so awkward to take off my clothes while he was staring at me in this situation.

"Um... turn around first."

Zhou Jing'an turned his head when he heard this and stared at the fire in a daze.

There was a crackling sound of burning and the rustling sound of clothes rubbing against each other in my ears.

The sound finally stopped, and he heard Jiang Ling say weakly: "Okay."

He pursed his lips, turned his head away, and then his brain seemed to suddenly freeze and he couldn't think.

-

The wound on her left arm was still bleeding, flowing down her arm and dripping onto the ground.

The blood was bright red, and because of this red, her skin looked even more smooth, white and tender like snow.

Her head was slightly turned to the side, revealing only her delicate profile. Her eyelashes were slightly drooping, and there was a blush on her cheeks, like a shy crabapple flower.

The dress was a double-breasted, overlapping piece. Even though only half of it was taken off, the other half couldn't cover anything.

Jiang Ling's left hand hung down, and her right hand tightly grasped the right lapel of her clothes to cover her body.

But it couldn't cover the entire body, so Zhou Jing'an only saw a corner of the small clothes with his peripheral vision.

Lotus root pink...

The moment Zhou Jing'an turned around, he felt a prick of the whiteness of her arm, and after catching a glimpse of the lotus root pink color, his whole body was burning.
