Chapter 313 Vampires in a Western Fantasy World (6)

After finishing her meal, Jiang Yue took out her laptop and opened a website. She had recently found this website, which contained historical documents compiled by vampires. It contained a lot of little-known history, as well as travelogues compiled by vampire scholars. It looked quite interesting.

Since the puppets had been released for some time and some treasures and shipwrecks had been found, Jiang Yue mainly wanted to see if there were any similar locations mentioned in the documents, so that she could use that as an excuse for future excavations.

Since Jiang Yue didn't use Bai Ze to cheat, it's a long process. However, finding the treasure will take at least until Jiang Yue graduates from university, which is a few years away. She's not in a hurry, so she can take her time.

After Jiang Yue snapped out of her reverie in the book, she checked the time and it was almost 11 o'clock. She tidied up and went to bed. The next day at school, her classmates were still gossiping about yesterday, saying that they hadn't assigned enough homework.

During lunch, a friend brought up the party again. Despite having one more person trying to persuade her, Jiang Yue still resolutely refused. She felt that such gatherings had no meaning or value whatsoever; they were more like a gorilla mating contest, something Jiang Yue always avoided.

She thought that refusing would solve the problem, but unexpectedly, David came over to Jiang Yue during class in the afternoon and asked, "Isabelle, are you and Alex really going to the party tomorrow?"

"What?" Jiang Yue's expression at this moment was exactly like that of the old man on the subway looking at his phone.

"I don't know if Alex and the others are going or not. I'm not going. Who said I was going?"

"Edmund and his gang said you would go; look at what they said in the group chat."

Jiang Yue took the phone and looked at it. It was true. However, they didn't say that Jiang Yue was going. They just gave irrelevant answers when someone asked them, giving the impression that they were going. Jiang Yue frowned. This person was quite disgusting. No matter how she replied, it wouldn't be good.

If you don't say anything, people will assume you agree. If you say you're not going, but they haven't explicitly invited you, it will make you seem presumptuous. Jiang Yue returned the phone to David and thanked him.

After David left, several of the girls surrounded Jiang Yue and began to speak up for her: "Edmund's family has some connections, and he does some really disgusting things. Alex and the others used this kind of trick once when they first entered school, and now he's using it on Isabel."

"What do we do now? Should we hide for a while?"

"No need, we can just ignore him. You haven't asked me about this, so I'll just pretend I don't know."

"So you're just going to let him go like that?"

"Didn't he also spread rumors about Alex and the others? This is the second time. They're bound to take action."

After comforting her friend who was standing up for her, Jiang Yue felt speechless. It wasn't a big deal; he was just trying to annoy her. If she made a big fuss about it, it would be a sign that she respected him. The best thing to do was to ignore him and treat it as a clown performance.

After school in the afternoon, Jiang Yue went out for a meal with her girlfriends and ended up running into the male and female protagonists again. It's all because this town is too small and there are only so many places to play. Jiang Yue released her senses to sense her surroundings and breathed a sigh of relief when she didn't find any extraordinary creatures.

After finishing our meal, I dragged a few friends who wanted to watch the show away from here. If something happened and a fight broke out, you little cannon fodder would be the ones to die. Watching the show? After walking a bit further away, the girls were still a little disappointed. Are other people's couples really that easy to ship?

After strolling around for a while, the party ended, and everyone went home. Jiang Yue returned home and turned on her computer to start her reading for the day.

Now that I have the exact location of the treasure, and I was just thinking about whether to work backward from the results to find the specific documents, my phone suddenly rang.

Jiang Yue picked up her phone and saw it was an unfamiliar number. She wondered who it was before answering: "Hello, who is this?"

"It's me, Edmund." The other person's voice came through, carrying a hint of arrogance.

Jiang Yue frowned and asked, "Is there something you need?"

"Come to the party tomorrow night," Edmund said bluntly.

"Sorry, I'm busy." Jiang Yue refused without even thinking.

"Don't be so rude, I specifically invited you." Edmund's tone was somewhat displeased.

"roll."

After cursing, Jiang Yue hung up the phone. What was this guy trying to pull on her like that? As soon as Jiang Yue put down her phone, it rang again. She saw that it was Edmund calling. Jiang Yue decisively hung up and blocked him. She felt that arguing with him would lower her status.

After hanging up the phone, Jiang Yue continued reading her documents. She was too lazy to argue with him over such a small matter, but a while later, one of her friends called her: "Isabel, take a day off tomorrow. Edmund is asking for your address and saying he'll teach you a lesson."

"Really? Thanks, Amanda. I'll hang up now."

After hanging up the phone, Jiang Yue laughed in anger. Damn it, he really doesn't know what's good for him. She took out a puppet and said to Bai Ze, "Bai Ze, go find out how he plans to deal with me, and then you know what to do?"

"clear!"

After saying that, Bai Ze controlled the puppet to go out. Jiang Yue picked up her phone and looked at it. Her close girlfriends had all sent messages, all reminding her to be careful of Edmund, saying that he was a bit unscrupulous in his actions and that she should take a few days off to avoid trouble. After replying to their messages, Jiang Yue lost all interest in reading.

After reflecting on whether he had acted too easily bullied—daring to taunt such a small fry like Karami—Bai Ze returned: "How was it?"

"He intended to break the owner's leg, so I broke all the legs of his family. I also handed over some of his family's criminal records to his father's rival. The criminal records are as follows."

Jiang Yue looked at the dozens of pages of records. She hadn't expected that this family had killed several people. "Because the owner's current identity is special, it's not good to make them disappear directly. People might associate it with the owner. Let the 'law' punish them. When I submitted the evidence, I asked them to expedite the process. The owner should have a result before school ends tomorrow."

"It's fine to handle it this way. That way, even if others think of me, they'll just say I was lucky."

After dealing with this family, Jiang Yue's anger subsided somewhat. This unexpected disaster was thus properly resolved. She couldn't concentrate on reading anymore and could only go to bed early.

The next day, Jiang Yue went to school as usual. Sure enough, there were many more people sneaking around to look at her. It seemed that many people knew about Edmund's threat to deal with her. Jiang Yue wasn't familiar with them and didn't care what they were saying behind her back. After arriving at the classroom, she checked her phone. Her girlfriends weren't so naive after all; there were several missed calls from them.
