Chapter 44: The Passerby in the True and False Heiress Story (Part 3)

After returning to her dormitory, Jiang Yue chatted with her roommates for a while, tidied up her clothes, put them in the wardrobe, and also took out her toiletries and put them on the wardrobe, which had multiple shelves.

After putting her things away, Jiang Yue took out her phone and asked her mother in the group chat if they had returned home yet. Her mother sent her a voice message saying they had arrived home and that she should get some rest.

The next morning, Jiang Yue was woken up by her roommate's alarm clock. She checked the time and it was already late. She was only ten minutes away from her own alarm, so she got up without going to sleep. She put on her school uniform, tidied herself up a bit, and went for a run. When she got back to the dormitory, everyone else was up too. After washing up, they agreed to have breakfast together.

The breakfast at the cafeteria was plentiful, with steamed buns, fried dough sticks, porridge, soy milk, and milk available. Jiang Yue took an egg, some vegetables, a cup of soy milk, some dried fruit, and a piece of bread, and that was her breakfast.

After lunch, we went to the classroom together. The teacher didn't say anything, just arranged the seats, told us what classes we would have each day, and then left. We didn't have any time to adjust before classes started.

Today was basically an exam. Their class wasn't taking any other kind of exam; it was a direct exam on first-year high school material. Jiang Yue was a little surprised, but judging from the expressions of the other students, they all seemed to know and it seemed normal, so Jiang Yue didn't ask any questions.

After a day of exams, Jiang Yue was a little bored. Since there was no set time to hand in the exam after it was over, she handed in her paper and started studying other courses.

After the exam, the teacher checked everyone's level and started lecturing. It was still a first-year high school class, but the pace was many times faster than usual. Jiang Yue wasn't sure if this was normal or not. Later, she secretly observed that other classes didn't seem to be like this, so she asked the teacher. The teacher thought Jiang Yue was having trouble keeping up, but Jiang Yue said no, she could keep up, but she was just curious.

"Because many students in our class have already figured out what they want to do in the future, such as taking exams or participating in competitions, the teaching pace will be faster, so that students will have more time to do their own things."

The teacher concluded by saying that this was how it was in Class 1; there were always students who couldn't keep up, and they eventually went to other classes to catch up with the regular pace of instruction. After hearing what the teacher said, Jiang Yue understood.

And so, a month passed uneventfully. The teacher had covered about half of the first-year high school curriculum, and it was estimated that it would be finished in about two months.

Seeing that some of her classmates had already started signing up for competitions, Jiang Yue also signed up for some physics, chemistry, and biology competitions. She had never participated in any of them in her three lifetimes, so she wanted to experience it in this one.

The day before the end of the month, Jiang Yue sent a message to her family in advance. The next day was a holiday, and Jiang Yue packed her things early. As soon as get out of class ended at noon, she went straight to the place where she had parked last time to find her family.

When they arrived, Jiang's mother and father were already there. Jiang's mother pulled Jiang Yue over and looked her over, saying, "You've lost weight." Jiang's father looked at her and said, "No, I think you've actually gained a little weight."

After saying that, Jiang's mother glared at him, and Jiang's father shrank back and said, "Then you say you've lost weight, so be it."

Jiang Yue smiled, took their arms, and got into the car. After getting in, Jiang's mother asked Jiang Yue what she wanted to eat, and Jiang Yue said, "Anything is fine. Mom will cook when we get home."

I was originally planning to get something to eat in the city, but after hearing what Jiang Yue said, I went straight home.

After arriving home, Jiang Yue didn't read any books, but instead accompanied her father to the river to fish.

When they arrived, Jiang's father started calling out to Jiang Yue. Jiang's mother laughed at him, saying that he couldn't even catch any fish himself, yet he was teaching his daughter. Jiang's father tried to argue, saying that he was unlucky, that the bait wasn't good, and that the weather wasn't right, etc. Jiang Yue and her mother couldn't stop laughing.

By the time Jiang Yue caught her third fish, her father hadn't caught a single one. Jiang's mother wanted to go home, but her father wanted to fish a little longer. After being nagged by Jiang's mother for a long time, he reluctantly packed his things.

After returning home, Jiang's father processed the fish Jiang Yue had caught. A neighbor saw this and exclaimed, "Hey! Come and see! Old Jiang caught some fish today! One, two… wow, three fish!" Jiang's father, without a hint of embarrassment, readily admitted, "What's the big deal? Isn't this just normal?"

Inside the house, Jiang's mother rolled her eyes to the heavens. "How shameless!" she thought. After everyone left, Jiang's father, seeing his mother's dark expression, quickly put on a forced smile and said, "That fish my daughter caught was the one I caught." He got more and more carried away, even convincing himself. Jiang's mother was truly impressed by his thick skin.

In the evening, the family enjoyed a happy dinner together. After dinner, Jiang Yue sat in the living room chatting with her parents, and Jiang Yue shared her experiences at school, including the fast-paced coursework and participating in competitions.

Jiang Yue's parents listened attentively, encouraging her to study hard and take care of her health. Jiang Yue felt a warmth in her heart; she knew her parents would always be her strongest support.

After staying at home for two days, it was time for Jiang Yue to go back to school. No matter how reluctant Jiang Yue's parents were, they had no choice but to let her go. After all, her studies were the most important thing. The two of them took Jiang Yue to school and left reluctantly. Jiang Yue breathed a sigh of relief. Having such parents is a sweet trouble.

Jiang Yue had only been studying for a few days when a chemistry competition she had signed up for started. During this time, Jiang Yue had been preparing for the competition, but she also knew her own abilities. Her competition teacher had told her that with her abilities, she was only at the provincial level and might not even make it to the national level, and asked her if she still wanted to participate.

Jiang Yue told her teacher that she wanted to participate, mainly because she wanted to gain some experience.

For Jiang Yue, time is her best friend. If she doesn't understand something in this life, there's always the next life or the life after that. She just wants to experience what it's like to participate in this kind of competition.

The teacher was mainly worried about damaging Jiang Yue's confidence. Seeing her like this, the teacher knew that she had prepared for the worst, which was good. The worst thing was that she would be arrogant and then become discouraged after being hit. Since she had already participated in the preliminary round in May, this time she was mainly participating in the provincial competition. In the afternoon, Jiang Yue got on the school bus and set off.

After arriving at the location, the teacher handed out the admission tickets, said a few words of encouragement, and then let them go in to take the exam. Jiang Yue followed the crowd in. As soon as she entered and found her place, she heard people next to her whispering about a handsome guy. Jiang Yue was close enough to hear them too: "Ahhh, my idol, Young Master Yang, is rich and academically brilliant. I heard that several university professors and even academicians want to take him as their disciple."

"Yeah, he's handsome, rich, and talented. I wish he could be my boyfriend!"
