After class in the afternoon, Jiang's mother was already waiting for her at the school gate. She picked her up and took her directly to the rice flagship store. Jiang Yue had originally thought that she would have to wait a while to get the car after selecting the options, but unexpectedly, there was a cancellation. According to the salesperson in the store, it was originally bought by a boy for his girlfriend, but they broke up after a few months and he didn't want the car anymore.
The car was identical to Jiang Yue's low-end configuration, except for the color. Jiang Yue wanted blue, but this car was pink. However, Jiang's mother liked the color, so Jiang Yue didn't mind. After completing the formalities, she drove home.
When they got home, Jiang's father looked around at the car. He was quite curious about the color. The next day, Jiang Yue drove to school and rented a parking space on the way, otherwise there would be nowhere to park. The color also sparked discussion among other people.
After school, Jiang Yue continued to practice drawing talismans. In fact, she had already learned how to do it and had even created many new talismans. She also drew several talismans for her parents, some for them to carry with them and some to be engraved on their bodies. This way, if they forgot to bring their talismans, they would have some buffer time in case of trouble and could hold out until Jiang Yue came to save them.
A month passed by uneventfully like this, and tomorrow is National Day. During class today, everyone was a little distracted, discussing whether to go home or go out to play during the holiday.
Jiang Yue was thinking that the plot was about to begin, the curtain was about to rise, and the world was about to fall into chaos. She needed to get some protective items for her two elders, and then there was Master Mingzhen, who had been kind to the Jiang family, so she couldn't just ignore him.
Just as Jiang Yue was lost in thought, the class bell rang and the teacher arrived. Jiang Yue put her thoughts aside and listened attentively to the lesson. After class, the counselor came in, reminded everyone to be careful during the holiday, and then left.
After packing her things, Jiang Yue was about to head to the cafeteria because she had classes in the afternoon. As she left, one of her close roommates chased after her: "Xiao Yue, where are you planning to go for the National Day holiday?"
"Longhu Mountain, what about you?"
Because Master Mingzhen is there, Jiang's father would take Jiang Yue there every year. In the past, it was all for recuperation. This year, Jiang Yue has just started practicing the exercises. She has always practiced on her own. Although Jiang Yue would ask for help through WeChat when she had questions, her parents were still worried and wanted someone to take a look in person before they could feel at ease.
"I'm planning to go home and not go out anymore. Are you going to Longhu Mountain because you're religious?"
"That's part of the reason. By the way, how do you plan to get back? By plane or train?"
"I bought a long-distance bus ticket. I wanted to take the train, but I couldn't get train tickets, and plane tickets are too expensive to afford."
Jiang Yue looked at her carefully and confirmed that she was going to have a bloody disaster related to transportation. In the last world, she was bored and learned about fortune-telling methods. She should be able to tell the difference about an ordinary person.
Jiang Yue thought that their relationship was still good, and they would often go out for meals together. She decided to help out if she could. On her way to the cafeteria, Jiang Yue asked Bai Ze to help her snag a train ticket.
After getting the food, Bai Ze noticed that someone had canceled their ticket and immediately booked it for her. A short while later, her roommate, who was playing on her phone, saw a text message saying that the train ticket purchase was successful.
"Wow, I managed to snag the train tickets at the last minute! I was thinking of canceling the order later when I got back. I could have just canceled the bus tickets. Wait a minute, I'll buy you a drink."
Just as the person ran away, Jiang Yue checked her face again and found that the previous bloodshed was gone. Jiang Yue breathed a sigh of relief; it was good that she was alright.
After taking a bite of food, Jiang Yue asked Bai Ze to call the long-distance bus company and tell them that there was a safety hazard with the bus and ask them to investigate. Whether they listened or not was none of Jiang Yue's business. Even if they didn't listen, no one would die, but the long-distance bus company would definitely lose money.
After dinner, her roommates went back to the dorm to rest. Jiang Yue's mother had bought her a house near the school, so she could go there to rest for a while at noon. During the last class in the afternoon, some students arrived with their suitcases. After class, the holiday officially began. Jiang Yue took out her phone to check the time, then looked at the messages in the class group. The counselor still reminded her to be careful. Putting her phone away, she said to Wang Rou next to her, "Are you taking the train today?"
"Yes, around 7 p.m.
"So, are you going back to your dorm and stay there for a while, or are you going straight to the train station?"
"Let's go to the train station. There are a lot of people today, and we might have to wait in line for a long time. If we get stuck in traffic, it will be even more troublesome."
"Oh, okay? I'll drive here and take you to the station."
"Okay, thank you, Xiaoyue."
"Let's go then."
Jiang Yue and Wang Rou arrived at the parking lot, where many classmates cast envious glances. After all, Jiang Yue's pink car was quite eye-catching. The journey was relatively smooth, except for a slight traffic jam near the train station. Upon arriving at the train station, Wang Rou gratefully thanked Jiang Yue and then dragged her luggage to queue for entry.
After dropping off the person, Jiang Yue drove home. When she arrived, her parents were also packing. They planned to go back to their hometown for a few days, and several suitcases were already placed nearby.
"Mom? Isn't this a bit too much stuff? Do we really need to bring so much stuff for just one week back?"
"Is it too much? Not really, it should fit two cars."
"By the way, have you packed your luggage? Make sure you bring a change of clothes, so you don't go back without any clothes to wear."
"I've packed everything up. Do you need my help?"
"No need, go inside and see if you need anything else, we don't need you to worry about us."
"OK."
After finishing her conversation, Jiang Yue returned to her room, looked at the suitcase on the floor, checked the room again to make sure nothing was left behind, then took the suitcase downstairs, put it in the trunk, and saw that there was still some space in the trunk.
Then they put the suitcases that Jiang's mother had packed into the car, and even the back seat, which was empty, was filled with things, and the passenger seat was piled with food.
"Yue'er, is the electric car's range enough? It's a 700-800 kilometer trip. If not, let's drive your mother's car instead. Gasoline cars are easier to refuel."
"It's okay, my range is a full 1,200 kilometers, even if it's discounted, it's still enough. Besides, you can charge it at highway service areas, and if it doesn't work, you can just charge it."
"Will there be places to charge my phone when I go back to my hometown?"
"Yes, I asked my grandma and she said there are places to charge in the village. Besides, I can also charge at home with a portable charger, it's just a bit slower."
"That's good. Remember to fully charge your phone tonight, and then go to bed early. We're leaving first thing tomorrow morning."
"OK".
"Alright, everything's set up. What would you like to eat today? I'm going to cook."
