When Zhen Huarong woke up, she found herself lying on the beach.
"Where am I?" She tapped her head, though she was scared inside, she maintained a calm expression.
"Didn't I go out to sea with Xiaodie to relax? Did the boat capsize?"
She stood up and found that she wasn't wet at all, which made her even more flustered.
Because this means the boat didn't capsize; she was abandoned there!
Zhen Huarong frowned, unable to understand why her best friend would do such a thing.
"Perhaps, Xiaodie is also on this island."
Zhen Huarong stood up, looked at the jungle not far away, gritted her teeth, and went inside.
She is a lawyer and this is her first time living in the wild.
Suddenly, Zhen Huarong was stunned. Was she a lawyer?
Looking back on her past experiences, she felt a sense of absurdity, as if she were watching another person's life unfold.
But that really was her past. A look of doubt flashed in Zhen Huarong's eyes, but at this moment she still had to look around the island to see if there were any other people, or find a place to spend the night.
Zhen Huarong had a hunch that there were definitely other people on the island, and Xiaodie might be here too.
She was a little anxious. Xiaodie was a real rich girl, and she didn't know how scared she was.
She pursed her lips, feeling somewhat guilty. If Xiaodie hadn't deliberately left her here, then she would have truly dragged Xiaodie into this mess.
If she hadn't broken up with her boyfriend and was in a bad mood, Xiaodie wouldn't have taken her on a cruise on her own yacht just to cheer her up.
Ugh, that sense of absurdity is back in my mind!
At the same time, there's a sense of incongruity; does she have a boyfriend?
She does have a boyfriend.
But will she have a boyfriend?
Zhen Huarong kept frowning, but she couldn't explain why she had that strange feeling.
She doesn't seem like the type to have a boyfriend? Are boys cuter than girls?
Zhen Huarong shook his head. The jungle was fraught with danger; he should focus on his work.
She picked up a particularly thick stick and carefully probed the grass along the path before stepping on it.
Otherwise, stepping on a snake would be quite frightening, as Zhen Huarong is somewhat afraid of snakes.
What's there to be afraid of about snakes?
If we actually catch it, we can even eat some meat. We might as well just boil the snake meat in water, slice it up, and eat it. It's both tender and chewy.
Here it comes again, that sense of unease making Zhen Huarong frown deeply.
Looking at this jungle in front of me, I felt a sense of unreality.
She is indeed afraid of snakes, so why does it seem like she has caught and even eaten snakes?
The method of slicing and eating snake seems to be deeply imprinted in my mind.
Moreover, when she thought about it, she didn't feel scared at all; in fact, she even salivated.
Zhen Huarong sighed and shook his head. "Let's find Xiaodie first."
Regardless of the reason for that feeling, Zhen Huarong was certain that she and Xiaodie were very good friends, and her concern and worry for her now were genuine!
Zhen Huarong walked deeper into the jungle, but only so that people would know she was there.
She tore her clothes to shreds and tied the scraps to conspicuous trees along her path.
Along the way, she also used her clothes to collect a lot of edible fruits, as well as a lot of fungi.
Soon, she was lucky enough to spot a cave.
She ran over in a few steps and found that the location was particularly good.
The terrain is not low, which means that the water will not rise, and small wild animals will not easily enter the cave.
It's not very high, which means it's still easy for people to get in.
Moreover, judging from the traces of grass and trees outside, there were no signs of being trampled by wild beasts, which means that this cave does not have a wild beast owner.
She went up and looked around carefully. There was no animal droppings outside the cave, which meant that no wild animals would come here and it was safe!
After quickly analyzing the situation in his mind, Zhen Huarong placed the fruit and wild mushrooms on the ground.
She looked around the jungle; she had to look for other people. She couldn't give up!
Zhen Huarong saw a lot of gold bars, and she peeled off the outer skin of the gold bars.
We need to keep the clothes to keep warm; we can't tear them all off.
Zhen Huarong used the gold bar to weave a simple basket and put the scraped skin inside.
While making the basket, that sense of incongruity resurfaced in her mind, after all, she had no memory of ever learning how to weave a basket.
However, at this point, she didn't care as much as she had at the beginning.
Her life was simple. As a lawyer, she was born into a middle-class family and attended kindergarten, primary school, junior high school, and high school in a very proper manner.
She only refused to listen when her parents asked her to choose business administration, insisting on choosing law instead, which strained her relationship with them for a time.
However, because she was an only child, her parents eventually gave in.
After graduating from university, I worked as a divorce lawyer at a law firm.
Later, she fell in love with her boss, who was also a lawyer.
Not long ago, the two had a big fight over the matter of getting married.
Their boss thinks they are still young and there's no rush for them to get married.
But she felt that they had been dating for seven years, and she was almost thirty, so it was time to get married.
Because they couldn't reach an agreement, the two had a big argument.
This time, she was truly desperate, which is why she sought help from her good friend Hu Die.
Previously, because Hu Die didn't like her boyfriend, Zhen Huarong would never tell Hu Die if they argued.
