Chapter 634 Sin Island 4

For some reason, Lin Kai started to like getting close to her again.

Zhen Huarong drew another conclusion from him: "At birth, human nature is inherently base!"

However, Lin Kai still had his pride, and after being repeatedly met with Zhen Huarong's cold shoulder, he gave up.

After being given the cold shoulder by Zhen Huarong, he actually got closer to Wang Chun Chun.

Zhen Huarong kept thinking to herself, "It'll be soon, it'll be soon..." She didn't actually know why she had such thoughts, but she felt that after three more days of peace, the balance of this small society in the cave would soon be broken.

Sure enough, not long after arriving on the island, on the fourth day, after dinner, Wang Chun Chun first had a stomachache, and then vomited black blood and died.

The black blood told everyone that she had been poisoned.

This incident immediately silenced the other eight people present.

They had already assumed that Ellie's other American friend, Tony, the man who wanted to do something to Butterfly, was dead.

In fact, both Zhen Huarong and Hu Die knew that what they believed was true.

He really died, killed by Zhen Huarong.

They had explored almost the entire island during this time, but still couldn't find any trace of Tony.

But because they didn't find Tony's body, they could comfort themselves by thinking that perhaps Tony was still alive on the island, somewhere they didn't know, or that there might even be other people on the island.

However, Wang Chun Chun died just like that.

"Who the hell did this? Step forward!" It wasn't Lin Kai who said this, but Wang Haonan.

His eyes held fear and a sense of despair.

This young master comes from a good family and has never had to worry about money since childhood; he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

However, being placed on this isolated island was already enough to make him despair. After all, what was more frightening than returning to the life of primitive people was that they didn't know when they could go back.

Now that his life was being threatened, he was naturally not at peace.

Lin Kai's expression was also grim: "Why? What contradictions can't be explained clearly? Why kill someone? What is the reason?"

Lin Kai's gaze fell on Jiang Shi's face, which startled Jiang Shi so much that she immediately hid behind Jiang Ci.

He glared at Lin Kai twice, clearly disliking the man, because they all knew he was Zhen Huarong's ex-boyfriend. "What are you looking at here for? Her cause of death is still unclear. Do you want us all to fight amongst ourselves?"

Lin Kai lowered his head, his expression unreadable. He simply closed Wang Chun Chun's unseeing eyes.

Zhen Huarong was very indifferent when she saw this scene.

She didn't think Wang Chun Chun was a good person. Perhaps if Wang Chun Chun hadn't taken action, it would have been Jiang Shi who died.

That's right, she was almost certain that it was Jiang Shi who made the move.

She said, "She was poisoned, but as you all know, we ate the same thing..."

Before she could finish speaking, Jiang Shi quickly interrupted her, "Perhaps she ate something when she went out to find food during the day, and it's only taking effect now. There are many medications with this kind of effect in important medicines."

While this statement isn't entirely accurate, it's the best we can say.

Perhaps everyone thinks that someone poisoned the food.

Their gazes occasionally swept over Jiang Shi, who was the most likely candidate.

Firstly, after competing openly with Wang Chun Chun several times, they were also caught fighting in private twice.

The relationship between the two of them can be described as very bad.

Now that Wang Chun Chun is dead, and Jiang Shi is studying traditional Chinese medicine, she is highly suspicious.

However, no one had any evidence, and everyone remained silent.

However, after that, everyone kept their distance from Jiang Shi, including Ellie.

Her face was pale. Perhaps she never imagined that what was considered a trivial matter of fighting over a man would escalate to the level of life and death.

This incident directly helped her grow, as evidenced by the fact that she never spoke coldly to Hua Rong or Hu Die again.

The loss of a life, within this cave, seemed to awaken something within everyone.

Zhen Huarong watched coldly, almost certain that Jiang Shi was the murderer who killed Wang Chun Chun.

As for how it was done... this is a jungle, full of herbs that can be used to poison people.

But aside from her initial panic, Jiang Shi didn't reveal any further flaws.

Zhen Huarong wasn't worried either, since she and Hu Die hadn't touched Jiang Shi's interests and didn't need to worry about their lives.

Of course, we still have to be careful. Although we didn't openly approach Hua Rong twice, we did run into her twice when we went out to find food these past two days.

After their chance encounter, Jiang Ci started looking at her strangely.

If he was still a naive young boy on the first day, his eyes have become much more profound now.

Before Zhen Huarong could decide what to do, Hu Die had already moved closer to her. This time, her eyes were somewhat cold. Of course, this coldness was not directed at Zhen Huarong, but it was still clear that it was very different from her usual demeanor.

"I always felt that Jiang Ci's gaze towards you was strange. Should we strike first?"

Upon hearing this, Zhen Huarong raised an eyebrow. She looked at Hu Die carefully, then put her hand on Hu Die's shoulder and looked intently into her eyes.

“Xiaodie, you need to stay calm and not let yourself be controlled. He hasn’t done anything yet. Even if he did, as long as it doesn’t warrant death, I will forgive him. That man that day was just an accident.”
