Gu Jiangli knew that Lotus would always take her very seriously when it came to things concerning him.
So when Lotus said she would teach the Chen brothers a lesson, she would definitely not hold back.
After returning home, she told Mr. and Mrs. Gu what had happened at Linglong Garden that day.
She brushed off the fact that she had fallen into the water and focused all her attention on the fact that Jiang Huaizhi was coming to propose marriage.
Mr. and Mrs. Gu were both happy and worried.

"Did you see the Chen brothers last night?"
Lotus said in a muffled voice, "Yeah, I went and beat them both up."
"What?" Gu Jiangli's drowsy state vanished instantly. She jumped out of bed. "You beat them up? Are you alright?"
Lotus is, after all, a little girl. Even if one of the men is a child, she might not necessarily have the upper hand in a fight with two men.
