"It's exactly what you think!" Upon seeing Gu Jiangli, Sun Chan showed no embarrassment whatsoever. Instead, she was as excited as if she had been injected with chicken blood, shouting, "Young Master and I have been having an affair for a long time! You didn't see wrong!"
Jiang Huaizhi shoved Sun Chan hard, and Sun Chan fell to the ground, landing face-first in the dirt.
"Don't talk nonsense! There's nothing between us." Jiang Huaizhi's face was obviously flustered. He turned to Gu Jiangli and hurriedly explained, "Jiangli, it's not what you saw. She suddenly pounced on me. I was about to push her away when you came in. There really is nothing between us."

Gu Jiangli chuckled, her laughter laced with sarcasm.
She stepped forward slowly, repeating Sun Chan's words: "A harmonious couple? A husband and wife in perfect harmony?"
Sun Chan raised her chin, about to agree with the statement, but Gu Jiangli's raised hand suddenly fell, catching her off guard with a "smack".
Sun Chan's head fell heavily to the side, she covered her face with one hand, and looked at Gu Jiangli in disbelief:
"You dare hit me?"
Gu Jiangli looked at her with disdain, shaking his hand as he said, "You've really gone too far, you're capable of anything. You were the one who believed Jiang Huaisong's rumors, you were the one who helped Jiang Huaisong attack Huaizhi, and you were the one who went against Huaizhi!"

She was embarrassed, but still stubbornly insisted:
"Gu Jiangli, don't be so smug. If word gets out what happened in this room today, it'll make everyone look bad! I might lose face, but I'm not afraid! You'll lose face too, Brother Huaizhi will lose face, and the whole Jiang family will become a shameless laughingstock!"
