Chapter 13 Quick Guide to the God of Elements (Part 28)
"Okay, I'll believe you for now."
"But we can't just follow you. We need to confirm first whether what you said is true."
"I understand." I nodded. "I can prove it to you with the power of the elements."
As I spoke, I released my elemental power, and a huge divine beast appeared, and a powerful force spread in the room.
"Morpheus's, Elemental Spirits"
"What a powerful force!" A trace of surprise flashed across Moro's eyes. "It seems you didn't lie to us."
"There's no time to lose, let's set off now!" I said, and prepared to leave.
"Wait a minute," Ledis stopped me, "I have one last question."
"You say." I looked at her, feeling a little uneasy.
"What if we refuse to help? This would be fatal." Lettice's eyes became sharp, as if he could see through me.
I was silent for a moment, then slowly said, "I hope you won't regret it. Although not participating in the battle can save your life temporarily, no one knows how you will live in the future or how long you will live."
Ladis did not say anything else. He just looked at me deeply, then turned to Morrow and said, "Let's go."
I watched them leave with mixed feelings. I knew this was just the first step, and there would be more difficult challenges waiting for me.
I rode on my horse and galloped towards the Temple of Elements. The sun had already set and night had fallen. I felt a little chilly, but what chilled me even more was that I felt that things were not going well for Morpheus...
"The life and death of mortals is like that of ants. What does it have to do with you? Mortals eat meat. Do they feel sorry for animals? Humans invented farms, and many animals can only be locked up in small spaces until they die. If there are demons in this world, you and I are demons."
Suddenly, I heard a voice, deep and eerie, which made me shudder. I pulled the reins and the horse neighed and stopped.
The Temple of Elements was already in sight, but Morpheus did not wait for me as promised. A bad premonition came to my mind, I dismounted, tied the reins to a stone pillar nearby, and walked quickly into the temple.
The temple was empty and quiet, with only a few long-burning lamps emitting a faint light. Murphys was not there, and the old wizard was not there either. An inexplicable sense of uneasiness and restlessness spread in my heart.
"Are you looking for me?" Morpheus' voice suddenly came from behind me. I turned around in surprise, but found that his face was pale, with a hint of fatigue and loss between his brows.
"What's wrong with you? What do other castles say?" I asked anxiously.
Morpheus forced a bitter smile and shook his head, "My physical strength is getting weaker and weaker."
"How could this happen?" I looked at Morpheus. His hand turned pale when he raised it. He was 1.9 meters tall but his hands were so thin, and he looked so frail.
"My original body has long been dead, and this body is just a remnant of my soul."
Morpheus' voice dropped. "Forgive me for leaving the burden to you, ahem."
"So, everyone I meet in town is a training for me, right?"
"Zi'ang, we have our own difficulties, don't blame Morpheus"
"Old wizard, please stop talking."
"Were we married? That was also my illusion."
"We were married before. I'm sorry, Ziang. I was the one who hypnotized you that day because I wanted to cultivate a trustworthy person. Only someone with a special relationship would save the world for me, right? There is no such thing as good things without reason in the world."
"So, your kindness to me has a purpose. You made me fall in love with you just so that I can help you protect this world."
"I started with this purpose because I didn't have much time left."
"If I were someone else, you would also try to make others fall in love with you, right?"
I clenched my fists, my heart filled with anger and powerlessness. No matter what, I felt very unhappy, the feeling of being used by others.
"Zi'ang, I'm sorry, please forgive me"
"So you're telling me now because you're dying."
"Ahem"
"You are so cruel. Not only did you lie to me, you also told me you were going to die."
"I'm sorry, actually I'm also very sad, because I really fell in love with you these days"
"But you're going to die, how can I live my whole life with a dead person?"
"If you want to leave, I'll let you go"
Feng Ziang's heart is conflicted. He wants to leave Morpheus but also wants to be with him. He loves him but hates him, and is afraid that he will never see him again after he leaves. After thinking it over, Feng Ziang said firmly, "I will protect the things you like in this world for you."
"Don't lose heart. I'm here with you, as well as Alice. We will work together to convince more people!"
The old wizard's firm tone also gave Feng Ziang strength. He also wanted to protect this world. Even if humans were really sinful, they had already been punished.
In the next few days, the troops were divided into two groups. Morfeas continued to lobby other castles, while Feng Ziang took Alice to run around in the elemental world, delivering the news of the invasion of dark forces to every corner.
Feng Ziang came to the bustling elemental market and shouted loudly to the bustling crowd; he went deep into the remote elemental tribe and told those isolated clan leaders about the coming crisis; we even risked sneaking into the dangerous elemental forbidden land, just to tell the truth to those deceived elemental guardians. The most difficult thing is to unite everyone.
"Go away! Don't waste your energy!" A burly elemental warrior blocked our way. He held a huge battle axe in his hand, his eyes full of disdain. "We won't believe your lies! Get out of our territory!"
I took a deep breath and was about to speak, but Alice stopped me.
"I know what you're worried about," Alice stepped forward, her tone firm and sincere.
"You are worried that we will destroy the balance of the world and bring you war and disaster. But please believe us, we love this land as much as you do, and we will not do anything to harm it!"
"You keep saying that you love the current peace, but do you know what true love is?"
The Elemental Warrior sneered, "True love is to protect its peace, not to spread panic and provoke war like you do!"
"We did not start the war, but the dark forces forced it on us!"
I couldn't hold it in any longer and shouted back, "Are you willing to sit and wait for death rather than take up arms and defend your homeland?"
“That’s enough!”
The Elemental Warrior roared, "I'll say this one last time, get out of our territory, or I'll be rude to you!"
"Let them stay."
"Let them stay."
We looked back and saw an old man in a grey robe walking towards us slowly. He was leaning on a twisted wooden staff, with a long white beard hanging down to his chest, and a strong elemental force emanating from his body.
"Great Elder!" When the elemental warrior saw the old man, he immediately knelt on one knee respectfully.
"He's just a guard. His duty is to protect this place. Of course he doesn't understand what you are saying."
"I have heard about your story," the elder said, his eyes sweeping over the three of us.
"I know you have a lot of questions, but now is not the time to explain,"
The elder said in a serious tone, "The dark forces are about to invade. We must unite as one to protect our homeland!"
More and more forces were moved by Feng Ziang's sincerity and determination, and they expressed their willingness to join the alliance to fight against the dark forces together.
Looking at this powerful coalition of various elemental forces, Feng Ziang's heart was filled with excitement and pride. This army embodies the hope of all living beings!
