Chapter 22: Quick Travel Guide: Viking Son of Fortune Zeus (Part 3)

Feng Ziang's cheeks flushed slightly, and he lowered his head, avoiding Zeus' gaze. "I just want to prove that I'm not a burden that only holds back."

Zeus reached out his hand and gently lifted Feng Ziang's chin, allowing him to look into his eyes. "You have never been tired," he said with tenderness in his eyes, "You are braver and smarter than you think."

Their eyes met, and Feng Ziang seemed to be able to feel the fire burning in Zeus' eyes, hot and intense. He lowered his head in panic, his heart beating like a drum.

"I...I discovered something,"

Feng Ziang tried to change the subject. He took out a worn-out animal skin from his pocket and said, "I found this in a cave. There seems to be something painted on it."

Zeus took the skin and examined it carefully by the light of the fire. On the skin was a map drawn with ancient symbols and totems, pointing to a mysterious place.

"This appears to be a treasure map,"

Zeus said with a hint of excitement, "Legend has it that the Sword of the God of War is hidden in this place."

"Sword of the God of War?" Feng Ziang's eyes suddenly lit up, "Let's go find it!"

Zeus looked at Feng Ziang with eyes full of affection. "Are you sure? This journey is full of unknowns and dangers."

"I'm sure," Feng Ziang answered without hesitation, "I'm no longer the coward who would just hide behind you."

The next day, they packed their bags, said goodbye to the simple villagers, and embarked on a journey to find the Sword of the God of War.

The two headed north, following the instructions on the map, passing through dense forests and climbing over steep mountains. The scenery before them gradually became desolate and mysterious.

“Look!”

Feng Ziang pointed to a mountain shrouded in mist in the distance, and said with excitement, "The place marked on the map should be there."

Zeus looked in the direction of Feng Ziang's finger, his brows slightly furrowed. He felt that a powerful force was lurking in the mist, waiting for their arrival...

The cold wind blew past, blowing up the snow on the ground. The mist-shrouded mountain peaks seemed like a sleeping beast, lying quietly in the distance. Feng Ziang and Zeus trudged through the knee-deep snow, and every step was extremely difficult.

"How long will we have to walk?" Feng Ziang exhaled a breath of white air. There were a few snowflakes on the tip of his frozen red nose, making him look particularly like a beauty. Zeus looked at him with golden eyes. Boys can also be so beautiful.

Zeus stopped and looked up at the sky. There was no sunlight in the gray sky. "We should be able to reach the foot of the mountain before dark. Let's find a sheltered place to rest tonight."

"Okay." Feng Ziang rubbed his frozen hands and continued to follow Zeus.

After walking for about an hour, they came to a valley. There were steep cliffs on both sides of the valley, and only a narrow passage leading to the depths. There were some animal skeletons scattered on the ground, which looked particularly eerie and terrifying.

"It feels eerie in here, are there any wild beasts?" Feng Ziang looked around vigilantly, feeling a little uneasy.

Zeus drew the short axe from his waist and whispered, "Be careful and follow me."

The two walked into the valley carefully. The further they went, the darker the light became, and the air was filled with a rotten smell. Suddenly, Zeus stopped, squatted down, and carefully examined the traces on the ground.

"What's wrong?" Fengzi asked nervously.

Zeus pointed at the footprints on the ground and said in a deep voice, "It's a pack of wolves, and there are quite a lot of them."

Feng Ziang was startled, but before she could react, a low wolf howl came from the depths of the valley, followed by a dozen pairs of green eyes lighting up in the darkness...

"What should we do?" Feng Ziyang consciously grabbed Zeus' arm, his voice trembling slightly.

Zeus looked around calmly, and finally fixed his eyes on the rock walls on both sides of the passage. "Let's climb up!"

As he spoke, he pulled Feng Ziang to the bottom of the rock wall and began to climb. The rock wall was covered with protruding rocks, which provided them with leverage points, but the wolves were approaching, and they didn't have much time left.

At this moment, Feng Ziang suddenly discovered that there was a special kind of vine growing on the rock wall. This vine was extremely resilient and long enough to reach the bottom of the valley. "Zeus, look!"

Feng Ziang pointed at the vine and said anxiously, "We can use it to swing to the other side!"

Zeus looked up and immediately understood Feng Ziang's intention. A hint of admiration flashed in his eyes. He grabbed the vine without hesitation, swung hard, and swung smoothly to the other side with Feng Ziang.

The wolves were blocked on the other side of the passage, roaring angrily, but unable to cross the abyss.

"We are safe." Feng Ziang heaved a long sigh and sat paralyzed on the ground, still in shock.

Zeus looked at Feng Ziang with praise in his eyes: "You are very smart and you stay calm in times of crisis. I am so sorry for you this time."

Feng Ziang blushed slightly, lowered his head and whispered, "I just don't want to hold you back."

Zeus reached out his hand and gently pulled Feng Ziang up. "Let's go. We have to hurry."

The two continued walking forward, passing through the valley, and suddenly a dense forest appeared in front of them. They walked through the forest and came to a stream, where they decided to rest for a while.

"The market is not far ahead. We can replenish some supplies here." Zeus said as he checked the map.

"That's great!" Feng Ziang said happily, "I haven't had hot food for a long time."

"Follow me and you can eat every day"

The two packed their bags and were about to leave when suddenly a familiar voice came from behind them...

"Zeus, why are you here?"

"Brother, do you know him?"

Feng Ziang and Zeus turned around at the same time, only to see a burly man with a full beard standing behind them, looking at them in surprise.

"Hera!"

Zeus also recognized the person and greeted him with a smile, "Long time no see, why are you here?"

Hera was a trader they met during their last hunting trip. She often traveled between tribes, selling some strange and bizarre things.

"It's a long story. I came here because I heard that things are not going well here recently, so I wanted to see if I could find any treasures." Hera said, her eyes fell on Feng Ziang, and she asked curiously, "Who is this?"

"He is mine..."

Zeus paused, and before he could figure out how to introduce Feng Ziang, he heard Feng Ziang speak first: "I am his younger brother, my name is Feng Ziang."

"younger brother"

Hera gave Zeus a meaningful look, then burst into laughter, "So that's how it is, so that's how it is."

Zeus shook his head helplessly, without explaining, and asked: "You just said that things are not peaceful here recently, what's going on?"

Hera suppressed her smile and said in a low voice: "I heard that a group of robbers appeared in the forest recently. They specialize in robbing passing merchants and travelers, and..."

He paused for a moment, and seeing that Zeus and Feng Ziang were both curious, he continued, "Also, I heard that this gang of robbers seemed to be looking for something, something very important."

"What?"

Feng Ziang asked quickly. He had a keen sense that what the robbers were looking for might be related to the artifact they were looking for.

Hera shook her head, indicating that she didn't know either: "I just heard it from someone, I don't know exactly what it is. However, I advise you to be careful and not stay in the forest for too long recently."

Zeus and Feng Ziang looked at each other, and saw a trace of solemnity in each other's eyes. They thanked Hera for the reminder, and then continued to walk towards the market.

The market was bustling with people, various commodities were displayed in a dazzling array, and the cries of hawkers continued. Feng Ziang and Zeus shuttled through the crowd, admiring the exotic customs while paying attention to the movements around them. The Viking men and women were particularly strong, and Feng Ziang was the only one who looked weak on the street.

Suddenly, Feng Ziang's eyes were attracted by something on a stall. It was an ancient wooden box with some strange patterns carved on it, and it looked very old.

"Boss, how much is this box?" Feng Ziang asked, pointing at the wooden box.

The stall owner was a skinny Viking old man. He looked up at Feng Ziang, and a gleam of light flashed in his cloudy eyes.

"This box is not for sale." The old man said in a hoarse voice.

"You're not selling it?" Feng Ziang was stunned for a moment, "Then why are you putting it out there?"
