Chapter 4 Quick Guide to the God of Elements (XIX)

Without any hesitation, I mobilized all the elemental power in my body and attacked the man in black.

The man in black robe was bound by the old wizard's spell and could not move. He could only watch us rushing towards him. His eyes were full of fear and despair. He screamed wildly and tried to break free from the restraints, but it was all in vain.

Morpheus's attack was swift and fierce, pouring down on the black-robed man like a violent storm. Every time his dagger passed through a place, it would leave a wound deep enough to see the bone. The black-robed man wailed in pain, but the wounds on his body healed at a speed visible to the naked eye.

"Don't worry, his self-healing ability is limited!"

While attacking, Morpheus shouted to me, "We just need to inflict enough damage on him before he recovers!"

I nodded, and concentrated all my strength on my fists, punching the man in black again and again. Each of my punches contained violent elemental power, enough to shatter boulders, but only left shallow wounds on the man in black.

"Damn it!" I cursed inwardly. The black-robed man's defense was too strong.

"Zi'ang, use this!" Morpheus suddenly threw something to me.

I took it subconsciously and found that it was a stone emitting a faint glow.

"This is Morpheus's elemental magic book!" Morpheus explained, "It can enhance your elemental power!"

I was delighted, closed my eyes and studied elemental magic, imagining the elements that exist in nature, condensing silicon into stone, and carbon into charcoal, giving it life and turning it into a seed in my hand. Suddenly, I felt a strong force surging into my body, and my strength and speed were greatly improved.

"Brother, why didn't you give me such a good thing earlier?"

"roar!"

I roared and attacked the man in black robe again. This time, my attack finally worked. My fists rained down on the man in black robe, and each punch was enough to tear his skin and flesh.

The man in black robe could no longer withstand such a fierce attack. He let out a miserable scream and was blasted away by me, hitting the altar heavily.

"Now!"

Morpheus seized the opportunity, and in a flash he appeared in front of the man in black robe, and the dagger in his hand pierced his heart without hesitation.

"Well……"

The black-robed man let out a final unwilling roar before his body turned into a ball of black mist and disappeared into the air.

At the same time, the wooden staff in the old wizard's hand also made a crisp sound and broke into two pieces. He swayed and almost fell, but fortunately Morpheus supported him in time.

"Old wizard, are you okay?" I hurried forward and asked.

The old wizard waved his hands and said weakly, "I'm fine, I just consumed too much energy. You did a good job and successfully prevented this disaster."

I looked around. The originally dim altar was now enveloped by a soft light, and the rune in the center of the altar had disappeared. There was a fresh breath in the air, as if everything had returned to peace.

"Where's Alice?" I suddenly thought of Alice and asked quickly.

"Don't worry, she's fine."

Morpheus pointed to the side of the altar and said, "She was sealed by the black-robed man, but now the seal has been lifted."

I looked in the direction Morpheus pointed, and sure enough, I saw Alice. She was lying on the ground with her eyes closed, and she seemed to be still in a coma.

"Let's go see her," I said.

"Um."

We walked over to Alice, and I reached out to feel her breath. I found that she was still breathing, so I felt relieved.

"Let's take her back to Elemental Town."

"good."

I nodded and picked up Alice.

The three of us walked out of the altar together. The sky outside was already turning pale, and a new day was about to arrive.

"Let's go home." Morpheus looked into the distance and said softly.

I turned to look at him. He had a trace of fatigue on his face, but more of a look of relief and ease. I nodded and walked side by side with him towards the direction of the Elemental Town.

The old wizard walked behind us, looking at our backs with a gratified smile on his face.

"A new era is coming..."

I held Alice in my arms and walked side by side with Morpheus on the road to the Elemental Town. The morning sun shone on us, dispelling the chill of the night and illuminating the road ahead of us.

"We are back!"

I looked up and saw a group of residents running towards us, their faces filled with happy smiles and their eyes shining with hope.

"I'm so glad you're okay!"

"You are our heroes!"

The residents surrounded us, cheering enthusiastically and celebrating the end of the disaster. I saw many familiar faces, all of whom had helped Morpheus and me before, and their eyes were full of gratitude and admiration.

I put Alice gently on the ground. She slowly opened her eyes and looked around in confusion.

"Alice, you're awake!"

"Where's Wesley?"

Alice looked at us with a worried look on her face: "Weasley, died."

“Can I go see him?”

Life is like this, passing away so quickly, in times of war, no one knows who will leave first. I looked at her, and a sense of regret surged in my heart. If I had more power, could I have prevented this from happening?

"Ziang," Morpheus walked over to me and gently held my hand, "Thank you."

I turned to look at him. Tears sparkled in his eyes, but there was a happy smile on his face. I knew that he was thanking me for everything I had done for him and for Elemental Town.

"Silly boy, do we still need to thank you?" We hugged each other tightly, feeling each other's heartbeats, and whispered in his ears.

Morpheus' body trembled slightly, and then he hugged me even tighter, as if he wanted to merge me into his bones and blood.

The old wizard and Alice stood aside, looking at us quietly, their eyes full of blessings and envy.

"Ahem," the old wizard's voice sounded not far away, "Although it is very late now, some things still need to be done as soon as possible."

I turned to look at the old wizard, who had a mysterious smile on his face.

"Come with me, children." The old wizard turned and walked towards the town square.

Morpheus and I looked at each other, and we both saw a hint of doubt and expectation in each other's eyes.

We held hands and followed the old wizard...

The square was crowded with people, and the residents of the Elemental Town gathered here, their faces filled with joy and expectation. The old wizard stood on a high platform in the center of the square, wearing a gorgeous wizard robe and holding a staff inlaid with gems in his hand.

Morpheus and I stood opposite the old wizard. Under everyone's gaze, we felt a little nervous, yet extremely happy.

"Today, we hold a grand ceremony here to witness the oath of a young couple. They will become the guardians of our elemental world!"

"Old wizard, what are you doing?"

"Young man, you are so shy, why don't you follow your heart?"

"What?"

"We here respect the individual. Look, Feng Qingxue's partner is her demon god Lucas, and Yun Chuanyue's partner is his spirit weapon Yuekasi. Even if we are not of the same race, we can still be together bravely. Young man, do you want me to say anything else? Don't you like Morpheus?"

"Ahhh! Help, why did you say that? I'm really embarrassed."

"Hahaha"

"It's okay, we will bless you"

The old wizard's voice was loud and solemn, and his words seemed to carry magic, echoing throughout the square.

There was a burst of enthusiastic cheers from the crowd. Morpheus and I held hands tightly, feeling the warmth of each other's palms.

"Together, together"

The old wizard raised his staff, muttering something, and colorful light emanated from the gem on the top of the staff, enveloping Morpheus and me in a dreamy halo.

"Feng Ziang, are you willing to be Morpheus' partner, love him, protect him, be loyal to him, and never separate no matter you are rich or poor, healthy or sick?" The old wizard's voice echoed in his ears.

I gazed at Morpheus in front of me affectionately. My figure was reflected in his eyes. There was love, determination, and a hint of subtle shyness.

"I'm Feng Ziang! I do!" My voice was firm and powerful, echoing throughout the square.

"Morpheus, are you willing to be Feng Ziang's partner, love him, protect him, be loyal to him, and never separate no matter you are rich or poor, healthy or sick?" The old wizard turned to Morpheus and asked solemnly.
