Chapter 58 Quick Transmigration! Conquering Michael and Lucifer (5)
The moment Feng Ziang stepped into the dilapidated temple, a strong stench of decay hit his face, as if it was a cold air coming out from the cracks in the ground.
He frowned, covered his mouth and nose, and looked around vigilantly.
The temple was dark, the walls were mottled, dust was flying, and there was a suffocating feeling of oppression in the air.
"Squeak--" The dilapidated temple door slowly closed, making a creepy sound.
Feng Ziang's footsteps were particularly clear in this silent space. Every step seemed to knock on his heart, making him feel a little uneasy.
He reached out from his waist and pulled out a long sword. The tip of the sword was slightly red, revealing a hint of coldness.
Suddenly, a figure flashed out from the darkness, and Feng Ziang immediately raised his sword and was on guard.
He was a thin man with tattered clothes and a face covered with gray powder, as if it was the mark of some kind of witchcraft.
He was none other than Wang Daotu, the charlatan in town. At this moment, he had a weird smile on his face, his mouth was twisted, and his eyes revealed an evil aura.
"Hey, isn't this Feng Da Xia? Why, are you here to explore the secrets alone?" Wang Daotu's voice was low and cold, like a fierce ghost in the cold wind.
Feng Ziang did not answer, but just looked at him coldly, but in his heart he was already prepared to deal with the sudden attack.
Sure enough, Wang Daotu suddenly waved the talisman in his hand, and a strange black smoke rose from the talisman and quickly spread.
Feng Ziang felt dizzy and his vision became blurry.
"Hmph, let me see how you die!" Wang Daotu laughed triumphantly and waved his hand to cast magic again.
For a moment, the Buddha statues in the temple seemed to come alive, with pairs of eyes flashing in the darkness, watching the battle.
Feng Ziang shook his head violently, forcing himself to wake up.
His heart moved and he remembered the mysterious power he had felt before.
He concentrated his mind, and the long sword in his hand suddenly emitted a faint light, competing with the strange black smoke.
"What?" Wang Daotu was shocked when he saw this. He obviously didn't expect Feng Ziang to be able to break his spell.
Feng Ziang seized the opportunity, rushed forward, and stabbed out with his long sword like lightning, accurately controlling Wang Daotu's throat.
"You are a charlatan, the days of playing tricks on others are over." Feng Ziang said coldly, pointing the tip of the sword at Wang Daotu's heart, but did not kill him immediately.
He knew that there was a bigger conspiracy behind this man.
Wang Daotu's face turned pale. He struggled to squeeze out a sentence, his voice trembling: "You... you wait, this is not all..."
Feng Ziang smiled slightly and stared at Wang Daotu coldly, but his heart was in turmoil.
He keenly felt that the real enemy had not yet appeared and that this adventure had just begun.
He smiled gently, pulled Wang Daotu up and pushed him towards the stone wall.
"Wait, there are more secrets waiting for me to uncover." Feng Ziang turned around and continued to walk deeper into the temple, his heart filled with desire and determination for the unknown.
Feng Ziang swung his sword, and the cold light on the blade made Wang Daotu's face turn pale. His crotch tightened and he almost became incontinent on the spot.
He pointed at Feng Ziang tremblingly, his eyes almost popping out of his head, "You...you actually broke my 'Five Ghosts Moving Technique'? Impossible! This is my best trick!"
Feng Ziang raised a mocking arc at the corner of his mouth, "With your weak kung fu, you dare to come out and embarrass yourself? And you want the Five Ghosts to Move Fortune? I think you can hardly move a brick." He was not polite and directly searched Wang Daotu's body. He soon found a parchment scroll, which was covered with tiny characters and some strange symbols.
"Oh, isn't this the 'road to victory'?" Feng Ziang smiled contemptuously, unfolded the parchment scroll and read it carefully.
It contains detailed records of the temple's secrets, including a secret passage leading underground and descriptions of some cult rituals.
He felt that he had already touched the tail of the truth, and as long as he followed this clue, he could completely uncover the conspiracy in this town.
But before he could take a closer look, there was a noisy sound of footsteps outside the temple, accompanied by Lin Hu's signature rough voice: "Wang Daotu! You bastard! Why haven't you captured the man yet?!"
"Oh my god, speak of the devil and here he comes, with reinforcements?" Feng Ziang raised his eyebrows, put away the parchment scroll, and threw Wang Daotu aside like a torn sack.
Through the shabby window, he saw Lin Hu and a large group of his younger brothers, holding knives and sticks, surrounding the entire temple with great momentum, and not even a fly could fly out.
"Haha, you come just in time, experience points are delivered to my doorstep!" Feng Ziang sneered and held the long sword across his chest. He was not afraid at all, but rather a little eager to try. It seemed that this group of people were here to give him heads!
"This bunch of minions think too highly of themselves. They think they are great just because they have numbers. Today I will let you know why the flowers are so red!" Feng Ziang rubbed his hands together, and he glanced around. His eyes fell on the beams and pillars that crisscrossed the temple, and he suddenly had an idea.
With a slight smile on his face, he shouted to the outside of the door: "If you have the guts, come in!"
Lin Hu kicked open the temple door and rushed in with his brothers, like a group of howling wild dogs.
"Boy, you're dead!" He swung the big knife in his hand and slashed towards Feng Ziang.
Feng Ziang dodged the attack with a nimble move and jumped onto a beam.
"That's it? I thought they were some kind of masters, but turned out to be just a bunch of noobs!" He stood on a high place, looking down at this motley crowd, with a teasing smile on his face.
"Brothers, come on! Kill him!" Lin Hu roared angrily.
The younger brothers rushed forward, brandishing their weapons, but they were no match for Feng Ziang.
He was like a nimble monkey, jumping back and forth between the beams. From time to time, he would kick a few unlucky guys away. Screams came one after another, and a farce of "trapeze man" was staged in the temple.
"That's it? Are you itching?" Feng Ziang dodged the attack while making a few sarcastic remarks, making Lin Hu so angry that his face turned ashen.
His eyes rolled, and he came up with a plan. He shouted to his brothers, "Set fire! Burn him to death!"
The younger brothers immediately lit the torches and threw them towards Feng Ziang.
Seeing this, Feng Ziang jumped down from the beam without panic, picked up the incense burner on the ground, and threw it at the torch. The fire was extinguished immediately, and several of his younger brothers were covered in ashes, which made them cough.
"Oops, sorry, my hand slipped." Feng Ziang had an innocent expression on his face, which made Lin Hu so angry that he almost vomited blood.
In the melee, Feng Ziang noticed that Lin Hu had a jade pendant hanging around his waist. The pattern on the jade pendant was exactly the same as the cult symbol he found deep in the temple!
He was shocked. It seemed that Lin Hu was indeed related to this mysterious incident!
He took advantage of the chaos to grab the jade pendant, held it high, and shouted to the people outside the temple: "Look! This is the evidence! Lin Hu colluded with the evil cult and harmed the people!"
The people were immediately furious and began to blame Lin Hu. The originally domineering Lin Hu instantly turned into a rat crossing the street, his face turned pale, and he knew that he was finished.
Feng Ziang looked at Lin Hu's ferocious look and did not feel relieved at all. He vaguely felt that there was a bigger conspiracy behind this and that Lin Hu was just a small follower.
"Who is the real mastermind behind this?" Feng Ziang murmured to himself with a determined look. He knew that the crisis was not over yet, and the sky over the town seemed to be shrouded in a layer of haze.
He put away the jade pendant, turned around and left the temple.
"Michael, let's go."
