Chapter 65: Quickly Transmigrate to the Sea King and Strike Back the Sea God Poseidon (Part 2)

Chapter 65: Quickly Transmigrate to the Sea King and Strike Back the Sea God Poseidon (Part 2)

The old man's words were like a fog that surrounded me tightly. I tried desperately to see the road ahead, but I was still confused and at a loss.

Who am I? Where do I come from? Where do my abilities come from?

What is waiting for me in the future? These questions kept turning over in my mind, and I was eager to find the answers.

"Are you okay, Ziang?" Lin Xiao's voice brought me back from my thoughts.

She looked at me worriedly like an older sister, her blue eyes full of concern.

"I'm fine, it's just..." I hesitated. I couldn't tell anyone about my doubts.

"I am your biological sister, please don't hide anything from me."

Lin Xiao held my hand gently. She could always easily sense my emotions and comfort me.

"Last month, this silly boy hit his head while swimming. Why does he seem to have become stupid too?" Lin Xiao muttered to himself.

In order to help me integrate into this strange world as quickly as possible, Lin Xiao signed me up for a social gathering to be held at the Crystal Palace tonight.

The Crystal Palace is one of the most luxurious buildings in the underwater city. It is built with huge shells and transparent coral reefs. Under the colorful lights, it is brilliant and magnificent.

I changed into the fishtail skirt that Lin Xiao prepared for me. It was made of a special material that sparkled like fish scales when in contact with water. The hem of the skirt swayed gently with the water flow, looking dreamy and beautiful.

Looking at myself in the mirror, I seemed to have transformed into the mermaid in the fairy tale and was full of anticipation for the upcoming party.

Inside the Crystal Palace, well-dressed people were drinking and chatting happily. Celebrities from all walks of life in the underwater city gathered here.

I tried to appear calm, but I couldn't hide my nervousness.

"Hey, isn't this the new Feng Ziang?" A sarcastic voice came, and I turned around and saw that the person who spoke was a girl in a gorgeous fishtail skirt. Her exquisite makeup could not hide the hostility in her eyes.

"Du Yue, long time no see." Lin Xiao responded calmly, and was not shaken by the other party's provocation.

"Feng Ziang, long time no see, your head is better now!" Du Yue turned his gaze towards me, looked me up and down, and a mocking smile appeared on the corner of his mouth.

"I heard from the shrimps and crabs in the sea that you hit a reef and fainted. I thought you were stupid? Hahahaha"

I suddenly felt embarrassed. It turned out that the owner of this body had hit a reef before. It seemed that there was no distinction between surnames in the sea. Sometimes I couldn’t even remember the different names of my brothers and sisters.

My weirdness seemed to have become an anomaly in the eyes of others, and she felt an inexplicable sense of superiority and contempt.

I was about to explain when I was interrupted by another voice.

"Du Yue, don't say that. Feng Ziang is a distinguished guest of our sea god Poseidon."

The speaker was a handsome man. He walked up to us with a false smile on his face. "I'm Poseidon, nice to meet you."

I nodded politely, but I saw a hint of subtle contempt in his eyes.

But I really like his eight-pack abs that are faintly visible. Poseidon has such a good figure. I know that they and I are destined not to be from the same world.

"I heard Ziang told others that he traveled to the land where humans live on the surface world, and now he can't even swim. Is that true?"

Du Yue covered her mouth and chuckled, her eyes full of teasing.

I clenched my fists and tried to control the anger in my heart. I knew that in this strange environment, I had to learn to be patient.

Du Yue's words were like sharp thorns, piercing my self-esteem. I took a deep breath and tried to keep myself calm.

"If you want to take advantage of someone's misfortune, just say so. Why be so treacherous?" I tried to speak in a calm tone.

"I can swim, too, but in a different way than you."

"Oh? Really? I really want to see how people on land swim. Why don't you show us?"

Du Yue covered her mouth and chuckled, her tone full of provocation.

The people around also joined in the fun, their eyes filled with curiosity and mockery, as if they were looking at a rare animal from a foreign land.

I suddenly felt my cheeks getting hot, and I was filled with shame and anger. I was so stupid and shouldn't have told others about those things.

Of course I couldn't perform a swimming show in the Crystal Palace of an underwater city; it was simply an impossible task.

I opened my mouth to retort, but found myself speechless.

"Okay, Du Yue, stop making things difficult for Ziang." Poseidon seemed to be helping me out, but his tone was full of false sympathy.

"Her head is not well yet! She is unfamiliar with everything here. You should give her more time to adjust."

"I just wanted to play a joke on her, Poseidon, you don't have to be so nervous." Du Yue glanced at Poseidon coquettishly.

Then he turned to look at me with a hint of warning in his tone, "However, Feng Ziang, I hope you can understand that the Crystal Palace is not a place where everyone can come. You'd better behave yourself, otherwise..."

She didn't say anything else, but the threat was obvious.

I felt an inexplicable depression, as if an invisible net was binding me tightly and making it difficult for me to breathe.

"Zi'ang, ignore her, let's go." Lin Xiao noticed my uneasiness, took my hand, and wanted to leave the Crystal Palace, this place of trouble.

"What? You want to leave now? I haven't finished talking yet." Du Yue stretched out her hand to block our way. She glanced at me with contempt.

"I heard from the fish in the sea that where did the sea god go to you last time?"

Lin Xiao's heart sank suddenly. Poseidon's visit was a secret and he had never mentioned him to anyone. How did Du Yue know?

"Poseidon is the hero of our underwater city. You'd better not have any improper thoughts about him, otherwise..."

Du Yue paused for a moment, then leaned close to my ear and whispered

"You'll regret it."

I felt a chill running from the soles of my feet to the top of my head. Du Yue's eyes were cold and sharp, as if he could see through all my thoughts. This was a mermaid's domination.

I subconsciously held Lin Xiao's hand tightly, my palms filled with cold sweat.

"Du Yue, what do you want? I tell you, I will never forgive you for bullying my brother. I am not a pushover either." Lin Xiao stood in front of me, glaring at Du Yue.

"What do I want? I'm just reminding her kindly." Du Yue sneered, then took the arm of the Sea God and walked away.

I stood there, feeling like a prey being targeted by a hunter, isolated and helpless, with nowhere to escape.

Lin Xiao was so angry that her face turned red. She turned around and wanted to argue with Du Yue, but was stopped by Zhang Yu.

Zhang Yu shook his head at her, signaling her not to act impulsively. I understood what he meant. Du Yue's family is very powerful in the underwater city, and her father has just become a shark general. We deep-water people can't afford to offend them.

There is a strict classification system among underwater aquatic creatures. Sunlight is a luxury in the sea. The more noble you are, the more you can live in places that absorb warm sunlight. The lower you are, the closer you are to the abyss, where there are only giant luminous jellyfish and anglerfish.

"Let's go, Ziang, ignore her." Lin Xiao glared at Du Yue angrily, pulled me and turned away.

I followed them in silence, but my heart was in turmoil.

I originally thought that the people in the underwater city would be kind and friendly like described in fairy tales, but I didn't expect the reality to be so cruel.

I was like a little white rabbit that had strayed into the jungle, surrounded by a group of ferocious beasts and could be torn to pieces at any time.

People around me are still gossiping about my situation, and their whispers are like poisonous needles, piercing my self-esteem.

I lowered my head and walked quickly, just wanting to escape from this suffocating place as soon as possible.

"Look at him. He looks so pitiful."

"Who told him to seduce Lord Poseidon? He is so ugly and overestimating his own abilities?"

"That's right, you don't even look at your own status, and you dare to challenge Princess Du Yue. You really overestimate your own abilities!"

Their laughter was like sharp blades, tearing my last bit of dignity into pieces.

My body was shaking slightly and tears were welling up in my eyes, but I tried hard to hold them back.

I picked up the ancient mirror from the bottom of the sea and looked at myself. Am I really that ugly? I told myself that I couldn’t cry and couldn’t show weakness in front of these people.

I must be strong and prove to them that I, Feng Ziang, am not a fish that can be bullied!

When I got home, I threw myself into the soft shell bed and let my tears flow freely.

I feel extremely wronged and angry. Why do I have to endure all this?

Do I deserve to be looked down upon by them just because I live in the deep sea?

No, I won't give in!

I clenched my fists and swore to myself that I must prove my worth and make those who looked down on me take notice of me!

I want to let them know that I, Feng Ziang, am not an ant that they can trample on at will!

What's wrong with me liking Poseidon, the god of the sea? I not only want him but also his heart. I want to lie on his chest and make Du Yue mad to death.

I turned over and my tears soaked the soft shell bed.

I swear, I must prove my worth and impress Du Yue and that bunch of chatterboxes!
