The old man's words were like a fog that surrounded me tightly. I tried desperately to see the road ahead, but I was still confused and at a loss.

I changed into the fishtail skirt that Lin Xiao prepared for me. It was made of a special material that sparkled like fish scales when in contact with water. The hem of the skirt swayed gently with the water flow, looking dreamy and beautiful.
Looking at myself in the mirror, I seemed to have transformed into the mermaid in the fairy tale and was full of anticipation for the upcoming party.
Inside the Crystal Palace, well-dressed people were drinking and chatting happily. Celebrities from all walks of life in the underwater city gathered here.
I tried to appear calm, but I couldn't hide my nervousness.
"Hey, isn't this the new Feng Ziang?" A sarcastic voice came, and I turned around and saw that the person who spoke was a girl in a gorgeous fishtail skirt. Her exquisite makeup could not hide the hostility in her eyes.

I clenched my fists and tried to control the anger in my heart. I knew that in this strange environment, I had to learn to be patient.
Du Yue's words were like sharp thorns, piercing my self-esteem. I took a deep breath and tried to keep myself calm.
"If you want to take advantage of someone's misfortune, just say so. Why be so treacherous?" I tried to speak in a calm tone.
"I can swim, too, but in a different way than you."
"Oh? Really? I really want to see how people on land swim. Why don't you show us?"
Du Yue covered her mouth and chuckled, her tone full of provocation.
The people around also joined in the fun, their eyes filled with curiosity and mockery, as if they were looking at a rare animal from a foreign land.
I suddenly felt my cheeks getting hot, and I was filled with shame and anger. I was so stupid and shouldn't have told others about those things.
Of course I couldn't perform a swimming show in the Crystal Palace of an underwater city; it was simply an impossible task.
I opened my mouth to retort, but found myself speechless.
"Okay, Du Yue, stop making things difficult for Ziang." Poseidon seemed to be helping me out, but his tone was full of false sympathy.
"Her head is not well yet! She is unfamiliar with everything here. You should give her more time to adjust."

Lin Xiao was so angry that her face turned red. She turned around and wanted to argue with Du Yue, but was stopped by Zhang Yu.
Zhang Yu shook his head at her, signaling her not to act impulsively. I understood what he meant. Du Yue's family is very powerful in the underwater city, and her father has just become a shark general. We deep-water people can't afford to offend them.
There is a strict classification system among underwater aquatic creatures. Sunlight is a luxury in the sea. The more noble you are, the more you can live in places that absorb warm sunlight. The lower you are, the closer you are to the abyss, where there are only giant luminous jellyfish and anglerfish.
"Let's go, Ziang, ignore her." Lin Xiao glared at Du Yue angrily, pulled me and turned away.
