Chapter 86: Quick Guide to the Elemental God
"Zi'ang, how come you have changed?"
"What has changed?"
“Compared to before, I seem to smile less and become more mature.”
"Really?"
"Still thinking about Poseidon?"
"No, we are enemies. I am only loyal to the Angel God."
"You have changed too, the system"
"How have I changed?"
"You didn't care about me that much before"
"Zi'ang, this time the test is to go to another parallel world. Your memory will be erased as well. This will also help you reduce the pain."
"Thank you! System"
My name is Feng Ziang, an ordinary magician, but now, I am trapped in a strange forest, surrounded by colorful towering trees, and the air is filled with inexplicable energy fluctuations.
What's worse is that a huge monster with black air all over its body is approaching me step by step, and its smelly saliva is dripping onto the ground, corroding small pits.
I tried desperately to run, but my legs felt heavy as if they were filled with lead. Was my life going to end here? Just when I was in despair, an old but loud voice rang out: "You evil creature, stop being so arrogant!"
Then, a golden light flashed, and the black monster let out a scream, turning into a wisp of black smoke and dissipating in the air. I looked up in shock, and an old man in a gray robe and holding a wooden stick slowly walked up to me.
He looked me up and down, and his cloudy eyes suddenly lit up: "Child, you have powerful elemental power in your body. You are the chosen one!"
I was completely confused by his words. What elemental power? What chosen one? I just wanted to get out of this damn place as soon as possible.
The old man seemed to see through my thoughts and explained with a smile: "This is the Elemental Continent. Different elemental powers are hidden in everyone's body. And you, my child, you have awakened the rarest space element in the world!"
He paused, his tone becoming serious: "Now, try to feel the power in your body and control it!"
I stared at him blankly, not knowing what to do. Space element? Control? All of this was too unfamiliar to me.
I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, and tried to feel the "power" he was talking about.
But I felt nothing but fear and confusion.
"Focus and visualize where you want to be!"
The old man's voice echoed in my ears. I gritted my teeth and the image of home emerged in my mind. It was... it was... the room I was most familiar with, with a desk, a football, and a poster of the God of Elements on the wall.
I longed to get back there, to that safe, familiar world.
Suddenly, I felt as if the space around me was distorted by an invisible force, and bursts of sharp explosions came to my ears.
I opened my eyes in horror, and was stunned by what I saw. The lush forest had turned into a barren wasteland, with huge cracks all over the ground, and the old man who had been standing in front of me was nowhere to be seen.
And that black monster was now roaring deafeningly and swooping towards me.
"Oops, my powers are out of control!"
My heart was cold, and fear flooded me like a tide. I staggered back, trying to escape from this terrible place, but my legs seemed to be filled with lead and did not obey me at all.
The black monster opened its bloody mouth and a foul smell filled my face. I closed my eyes in despair, waiting for death to come.
However, the expected pain did not come. I slowly opened my eyes and saw a dazzling golden light enveloping me and the black gas monster.
The golden light faded, and the black gas monster once again turned into a wisp of black smoke and dissipated in the air. And I sat paralyzed on the ground, gasping for breath.
Only then did I realize that my hands were emitting a faint golden light, and the surrounding space was slightly distorted because of this golden light.
"I...I succeeded?"
I looked at my hands in disbelief, feeling both fear and excitement.
I actually released the power of the elements and defeated that terrible monster!
"Kid, are you okay?"
A familiar voice came from behind me. I turned around in surprise. The old man had appeared behind me without me noticing. There was a complex light in his eyes.
"Old man, why didn't you come to save me just now? Fortunately, I am very powerful, otherwise I would have died."
"It seems that your potential is even greater than I thought..."
I stared blankly at the old man, or rather, the old wizard, a title that seemed more suitable for him.
The light in his eyes was hard for me to understand. It was both gratification and an indescribable heaviness.
"My child, you have great power within you,"
The old wizard's voice was deep and powerful. "This power is enough to change everything, but if you can't control it, it will also devour you."
I looked down at my hands, and the faint golden light seemed to be still flickering, reminding me that what had just happened was not an illusion.
I, an ordinary magician from a poor family, actually possessed the legendary power to control the elements.
"What should I do?"
I looked up at the old wizard, his eyes full of desire for knowledge. The old wizard smiled slightly, reached out from his pocket, took out an ancient book and handed it to me.
"This is the Book of Elements. It will teach you how to control the power within you."
I took the book solemnly and opened the first page. It was filled with all kinds of strange symbols and words, none of which I recognized.
"Don't worry, kid,"
The old wizard seemed to see through my thoughts and said, "I will teach you how to decipher it."
Thus, I began my arduous training. I learned how to sense the existence of the elements, how to guide their flow, and how to transform them into my power.
I sweated and was exhausted every day, but my heart was filled with unprecedented fulfillment and excitement. However, the power of the elements was far more violent and unpredictable than I had imagined.
I often got into trouble because I couldn't control the energy in my body. Once, when I was practicing controlling fire, I accidentally ignited a dead tree in the forest and almost started a fire.
Another time, I tried to use the power of controlling water to help villagers irrigate their fields, but I lost control of the power and destroyed their ridges.
Every failure made me feel frustrated, and I began to doubt whether I could really control this power.
"Don't lose heart, child,"
The old wizard always patiently encouraged me, "Controlling the power of elements requires time and patience, and even more so, a firm will."
I took a deep breath and tried to calm the emotions surging in my heart. I knew that I couldn't give up, I had to learn to control this power, for myself and for those I wanted to protect.
"child,"
The old wizard's voice suddenly became serious. "Your talent is the highest I have ever seen, but because of this, the challenges you face will be more severe."
He paused, looking into the distance with deep eyes, "The power in your body has awakened, but it is far from reaching its peak. You need to find a more powerful source of power to truly master this power."
I was moved. "Where is the more powerful source of power?"
The old wizard turned around, stared into my eyes, and said word by word: "Go to the Elemental Town, where..."
"Go to Elemental Town, where..."
The old wizard stopped talking abruptly. His eyes were wandering, as if he was lost in some memory. His brows were tightly wrinkled, as if he was enduring great pain.
I anxiously awaited his next words. What kind of place would Elemental Town be? What secrets were hidden there?
I was eager to know the answer, not only to control the power in my body, but also to unravel the mystery hidden in the old wizard's heart.
"Kid, there are some things you don't need to know now."
The old wizard took a deep breath, as if he had made a decision, and his eyes became firm again.
"You just need to remember that Elemental Town is the gathering place of elemental power. There, you will find everything you need."
He paused, took out a crystal clear blue stone from his pocket and handed it to me.
"This elemental stone can guide you to the direction of the elemental town. It will guide you to find the trajectory of your destiny."
