Chapter 87 Quick Guide to the God of Elements (Part 2)

Chapter 87 Quick Guide to the God of Elements (Part 2)

I took the elemental stone, and a cool breath instantly spread throughout my body. The originally restless elemental power seemed to be soothed, becoming calm and gentle.

I held the stone tightly, my heart filled with gratitude and awe.

"Go, child, and find your destiny."

The old wizard's voice was full of power, yet it also carried a hint of indescribable sadness. I looked at him deeply, turned around and walked in the direction indicated by the elemental stone.

I don't know what's waiting for me, but I believe that as long as I stick to my beliefs, I will be able to overcome all difficulties.

I cut through dense forests and rugged mountain roads, and fought my way through thorns and brambles. The elemental stones emitted a faint light, guiding me in the right direction.

I don't know how long I walked, but suddenly the view opened up and a simple and mysterious town appeared in front of me. The tall magic tower, the colorful elemental light, and the bustling crowds all made me feel novel and excited.

I stepped into the Elemental Town, and a warm and comfortable atmosphere hit me. The shops on both sides of the street were full of various rare treasures that dazzled my eyes.

However, behind this lively scene, I felt a strange gaze, as if a pair of invisible eyes were secretly watching my every move... "Sir, is this your first time in Element Town?"

A voice that sounds very handsome rang in my ears!

I looked in the direction of the voice and saw a handsome man in a goose-yellow classical Western-style magician robe standing in front of me. His golden curly hair cascaded down like a waterfall and his blue eyes sparkled with curiosity.

He has an exquisite handsome face, with slightly upturned corners of his mouth and a handsome smile that makes people want to get close to him.

"Hello, my name is Morpheus, and I am a resident of Elemental Town."

The handsome guy introduced himself gracefully, "May I ask who you are?"

"My name is Feng Ziang, and I'm a rural magician."

I answered simply, but my eyes were involuntarily drawn to the elemental badge on his chest.

It was a water blue crystal pendant that emitted a soft glow. One could tell at a glance that it was worth a lot of money. Compared to the one on my chest, mine looked cheap and ordinary.

"Are you a magician too?"

The handsome man noticed my gaze and asked with a smile, "What is your elemental power? I have never seen an elemental emblem like yours."

I smiled faintly and did not answer his question. I just said, "I am just a traveler who happened to pass by here. May I ask where I can find a place to stay?"

Morpheus didn't seem to notice my indifference and continued to guide me enthusiastically:

"If you keep going along this road, you will see the only hotel in the town. But it is already evening now, so you'd better go there as soon as possible, otherwise there may be no room available."

I thanked him and was about to leave when Morpheus said, "Ziang, is this your first time in Element Town? There are many interesting places here. If you are interested, I can show you around."

I politely declined his offer and turned toward the hotel.

Along the way, I could always feel a pair of eyes staring at me from behind, a look full of inquiry and curiosity, and even a hint of subtle hostility.

I quietly quickened my pace, but I was secretly alert in my heart. After arriving at the hotel, I checked in and went straight back to my room.

The room was small, but very cozy. I sat by the window, looking at the bustling crowd outside, thinking about the young man named Morpheus whom I had just met.

Who is he? Why did he approach me on purpose? As I was pondering, there was a knock on the door.

"Zi'ang, can I come in?"

A deep male voice came from outside the door. I was startled and immediately stood up and walked to the door.

He asked cautiously, "Who are you?"

"I'm Wesley from the Elemental Guard, and I want to discuss something with you."

I hesitated for a moment, but finally opened the door. Weasley was tall, wearing a black uniform, with a sharp sword on his waist, and he exuded a domineering aura.

He walked into the room, scanned the room with sharp eyes, and then said in a deep voice: "Mr. Ziang, I know that you have powerful elemental power, but I must remind you that the Elemental Town is not as peaceful as it seems on the surface. There are some things that you'd better not interfere with..."

"How do you know my whereabouts? Well, I don't even know why I came here. I don't mean any harm."

Wesley's words made me even more confused. Why did my life feel like a script?

I calmly asked him to sit down at the table, poured him a glass of water, and asked, "Mr. Weasley, what do you mean by that? What is it best not to interfere in?"

He took the cup of water but didn't drink it. He looked at me with deep eyes and said, "Mr. Ziang, I know you are not an ordinary person. The elemental power you possess is very strong, even beyond my imagination. However, the Elemental Town is not as peaceful as it seems on the surface. There are some ancient and mysterious powers here. If you are not careful, you will be killed. You are a newcomer, so it is best not to get involved in trouble."

I heard the warning in his words, but the more he was evasive, the more curious I became. I pretended to be confused and asked, "Mr. Weasley, can you explain it more clearly? I really don't understand what you mean."

Wesley was silent for a moment, as if he was weighing the pros and cons, and finally he said, "Mr. Ziang, do you know the source of elemental power?"

I shook my head, indicating that I didn't know. "The power of elements comes from a mysterious energy between heaven and earth, which we call the 'Source of Elements'. According to legend, the Source of Elements has endless power, but it is also full of dangers. For thousands of years, countless people have tried to control the Source of Elements, but they all failed in the end. Some people even lost their minds and turned into terrible monsters..."

Weasley's words touched my heart, and I suddenly remembered the words engraved on the stone tablet I saw at the entrance of the Elemental Town: "The power of the elements should not be greedy, otherwise it will be backfired."

Could it be that Weasley is hinting to me that someone in Elemental Town is trying to control the source of the elements?

"Mr. Weasley, are you saying that someone in Elemental Town is conducting dangerous experiments?"

I asked tentatively. Wesley did not answer my question directly, but stood up, walked to the window, and looked at the bustling scene outside.

In a deep voice, he said, "Mr. Ziang, there are some things you'd better not know. That's all I have to say. You can do whatever you want."

After saying that, he turned and left the room, leaving me alone to ponder. Weasley's words made me realize that the Elemental Town was far more complicated and dangerous than I had imagined.

And why did so many people come to me when I first arrived in this strange town? I'm sure I didn't know them beforehand.

I decided to hold off for the time being and investigate secretly to see what secrets were hidden here.

The next morning, I went to the town library. This library has a long history and houses many ancient books and documents about elemental power. Perhaps I can find some useful clues here.

I spent the whole day in the library and finally found some records about the origin of elements in an ancient parchment scroll.

According to the records on the scroll, the source of elements does not exist in a fixed place, but is scattered all over the world, and only people with special physiques can sense its existence.

If you want to control the source of elements, you must find a treasure called "element crystal".

"Elemental crystal..."

I muttered to myself, my mind full of doubts, "What on earth is that?"

At this moment, I suddenly felt a chill behind me, as if someone was watching me in secret. I turned my head sharply, but found that there was no one behind me.

"Am I being too suspicious?"

I muttered to myself, but I couldn't calm down. I closed the scroll and was about to leave the library when I ran into a familiar figure.

"Hi! Handsome boy, what a coincidence! I didn't expect to meet you here."
