Chapter 98: Quick Guide to the God of Elements (Thirteen)
"Believe me!"
I gave him a firm look, then took a deep breath, mobilized all the elemental power in my body, and rushed towards the giant.
"Makabaka"
The enemy seemed to have sensed my intention, and roared, swinging his battle axe towards me. I didn't dare to take it head-on, but used my agility to dodge and look for opportunities to attack.
"Right now!"
I seized the opportunity, flashed and went behind the giant.
“Go to hell!”
I roared, and the long sword in my hand turned into a bolt of lightning, slashing towards the giant's ankle...
At the same time, I felt a bone-chilling chill coming from behind me. I turned around suddenly and saw Morpheus standing behind me, holding a gleaming dagger in his hand. His eyes were cold and resolute, as if he had become a different person.
"You..." I opened my mouth, but didn't know what to say.
Morpheus didn't say anything, he just looked at me deeply, then turned and disappeared into the night. I was stunned, Morpheus's eyes made me feel strange, but inexplicably relieved.
He is always like this, silently giving for me and planning for me, even if it is in his morbid way. I clenched the sword in my hand, and the giant's wailing brought me back to reality.
Alice is right. Now is not the time to think about these things. I must concentrate and deal with the enemy in front of me.
The giant lost his ability to move and fell to the ground in pain, stirring up a cloud of dust. I dared not let my guard down, and gathered the elemental power at the tip of my sword, ready to give him the final blow.
"Stop, Ziang!" Alice's voice came from far away, "He can't die yet!"
I looked at her in confusion. Alice came over quickly and explained, "This giant is just a puppet being controlled. There is another soul inside him. We need to capture him and interrogate the identity of the mastermind behind this!"
I finally understood, put away my sword, and watched Alice skillfully restrain the giant with elemental power. Weasley came with several elemental guards and escorted the giant back to the town.
I looked around but didn't see Morpheus, and I felt a little uneasy.
"Don't worry, maybe Erth is okay." Alice said softly, as if she saw through my thoughts, "He went to prepare for something more important."
I nodded and didn't ask any more questions. I knew that given Morpheus's character, if he wanted me to know, he would tell me.
In the next few days, the atmosphere in the Elemental Town was extremely depressing, and everyone was preparing for the upcoming decisive battle. Alice learned from the giant that the mysterious organization controlling them would launch a general attack on the full moon night three days later, targeting the Magical Tianchi in the Elemental Town.
The Magic Lake is a magical lake formed by the energy that originally fell from the sky. It is also the source of the elemental power that allows magicians in the Element Town to quickly recover from physical injuries. Once it falls into the hands of the enemy, the consequences will be disastrous. Whoever is injured in the battle in the future will surely die. We must protect the Magic Lake at all costs!
In order to prepare for this final battle, I decided to go to the depths of the Elemental Forest for my final training. That was where the elemental power was most concentrated, and it was also the best place for me to break through myself.
Before leaving, the old wizard called me to his cabin and handed me an antique ring.
"Child, this is the Ring of Elements. It can help you better control the power of elements." The old wizard looked at me kindly, "Remember, the power of elements comes from the heart. You have to believe in yourself to unleash its true power."
I took the ring solemnly and put it on my hand. A warm power instantly flowed through my body, and I felt that the connection between myself and the elements became closer.
"Go, child, Macabaka will guide you." The old wizard's voice echoed in my ears.
I turned and stepped into the elemental forest. The dense trees blocked out the sun, leaving only spots of light falling. I took a deep breath, feeling the rich elemental power in the air, and my heart was filled with determination.
Three days passed in a flash, and I woke up from my training, feeling full of strength. I knew I was ready.
When I returned to the Elemental Town, the sunset had already dyed half of the sky red. In the town square, the elemental guards were waiting in formation, and the residents also spontaneously organized themselves to prepare for the battle.
Morpheus stood in the middle of the square, dressed in black, with a pale face, but he couldn't hide the coldness in his eyes. When he saw me coming back, the corners of his mouth slightly raised, revealing a hint of a cold smile.
"You are finally back..."
I strode forward, the glow of the setting sun outlined Morpheus's thin face, but it made him look even more delicate. His eyes were like a bottomless cold pond, reflecting my figure, which made me feel inexplicably at ease.
"I'm back."
I held his hand. His hand was very cold. I couldn't help but warm it with my palm. "Are you ready?"
Morpheus nodded lightly, a cold smile on his face: "Everything is ready, only the east wind is missing."
He looked around, scanning every elemental guard and resident in the square who were waiting in ambush, and finally fell back on me, "Feng Ziang, we must win this battle."
I felt the firmness in his tone, and also saw the barely perceptible fragility in his eyes. I understood that this battle was not only to protect the source of the elements, but also to protect our common homeland and the hard-earned bond between us.
"Don't worry, Morpheus." I firmly held his hand, my eyes bright, "We will definitely win!"
The atmosphere in the square was solemn and murderous. The afterglow of the setting sun shone on everyone's face, reflecting their resolute expressions. Wesley walked up to me, dressed in military uniform, with a firm look in his eyes: "Lord Feng Ziang, the Elemental Guard has been assembled and can set off at any time!"
I nodded and patted his shoulder: "Weasley, I'll leave it to you this time."
"We swear to defend the Magical Lake to the death!" Weasley knelt on one knee, followed by the neatly-organized Elemental Guards. Their voices echoed over the square like thunder.
Alice walked over to me, handed me a bottle of medicine, and said softly, "Feng Ziang, this is the recovery potion I prepared overnight. It can quickly restore elemental power. Take it with you just in case."
I took the medicine and looked at Alice's worried eyes, and my heart warmed. I have not been in Element Town for a long time, but I have received help and support from many people, which has made me more determined to protect this land.
"Thank you, Alice," I said sincerely. "Thank you for me, too, everyone, for being willing to fight alongside us."
Alice smiled slightly, her eyes firm: "This is our common home. It is our duty to protect it!"
As night fell, a blood moon slowly rose, shrouding the entire elemental town in a strange red light. The moment of the decisive battle finally arrived.
